His rankings are basically how teams finished last year as if there were no changes in the offseason like the Bills and Dolphins losing a ton of starters.

The Jets have so many major questions marks, both on the field and in the coaching staff (especially with the OC); it becomes unrealistic to move them up even to the middle of the power rankings.

Doesn't bother me where the Jets are ranked even before training camp begins. What will matter is where the Jets will finish this season. Texans are ranked #10. Didn't Jets easily beat them last season? Eagles are ranked too high. Chargers are ranked #15? Too high. Broncos and Bears are ranked too high also. Let's see where everyone is post season.

The stupidity of it, I mean you have at Top 3 Defense, a whole lot of quality added to the offense, and you have a Hall Of Fame Quarterback slinging the ball and all Florio can come up with is 25th? At a very very bare minimum it puts the Jets somewhere in the 12 to 16 range, and that's being really conservative about it.

Jets have 2 players that will be drafted in the top 10 in most fantasy drafts this year (Hall, Wilson). Jets have, at worst, a top 10 defense. Jets won 7 games with historically bad QB play last year. Hateful ranking but, sure, whatever, it means nothing.

I think that my Dolphins and your Jets are both ranked about 8-10 spots too high. Yes, this is a joke since there are only seven teams under the Jets, but I'm a Dolphins fan, even if I do like the Jets well enough, so the joke had to be made. 😛 And, sadly, I'm distrustful of the ownership of Ross so I'll be more likely to be pleasantly surprised instead of horribly disappointed whatever the Dolphins do. Although hiring Richie Incognito as a team morale specialist might get me to the horribly disappointed mark. Rankings right now mean nothing. The top 2 or 3 and the bottom 2 or 3 are going to be fairly obvious and safe picks but at this point of the pre pre preseason the rest is just a muddle.

From a psychological standpoint; I would much rather a team going into the season under ranked than over hyped. With that said Mike Florio talks in circles and constantly contradicts his own logic. Where it applies here, it doesnt apply there. The Jets finished the season 25th LAST YEAR WITHOUT AROD and WITHOUT all of our additions. We are touted as one of the most improved teams this year; so its not like others have improved more and leaped over us pushing us back down to that spot. These guys just know theres no harm in being wrong about the Jets especially since the takes are in line with that old Jets moniker; "Jets will Jet".

25 sounds about right. Positives - Jets had a tremendous defense last season. The Jets offensive line improved over the dumpster fire of last year. Positive also is the 40 year old QB claims he is ready to play coming off injury (if he shows up to mandatory practice) Negatives - Jets have the worst head coach & coaching staff in the entire NFL. Jets have a 40 year old nutty fruitcake QB , coming off catastrophic injury, whom the entire organization bent over for. Jets defense, got worse from last season. The Huff - Reddick situation is currently a total disaster. The WR roomly stinks. Wilson is the single sole legitimate WR on the team. Williams is old, broken down, coming off injury, and wont be ready until after camp, and then who knows. Lazard is the trashiest WR in the league and gigantic Joke Douglas disgrace 🗑 Corley is an unsigned reach pick rookie, and the rest of WR guys are nobodies. Jets should still have a good defense and one would think that if Rodgers can stay healthy, the Jets should win more games than last season. That being said, The Jets could be good. Certainly, have no shot at being great & most definitely are not "Super Bowl contenders." The Jets ceiling is they have a punchers chance at the division title along with Miami & Buffalo.
