New York Rangers acquire Reilly Smith from Pittsburgh Penguins & sign Sam Carrick to 3 year contract

Looks more and more like we are running it back, I guess the Presidents Trophy is our Stanley Cup.

Smith was a near non-entity for Pittsburgh. He played perhaps 2 weeks of the season and then was MIA. Perhaps he will rebound......

I like Trouba. I like his edge and his attitude which obviously the other Rangers do not possess. However, what the Rangers continue to do is to put players in these impossible positions that they are not built to carry. The best move for the rangers has been the retirement of Glen Sather who for 24 years took this franchise and used it for his own ATM and treated the fans like toilet paper. How Sather has gone unscathed during his absolute train-wreck of a quarter century of failure on every metric level, is beyond me.
