There were health education board ads here in Scotland that were unintentionally funny, usually in a dark, messed up way. Picture this: a woman is shopping for a dress. The shop assistant asks her if she needs any help and the customer replies “Yes, I’m looking to be r@ped”. She delivers the line with a casual smile, and it’s meant to be shocking. To any reasonable person it’s obviously challenging the “she’s asking for it” scummy guys out there, but her delivery of the line just killed me. If I find the ad I’ll put it here later
The irony is that distracting selfies are now responsible for all sorts of death worldwide. People get hit by cars, trains, walk off cliffs, all because they’re staring at themselves on their phone 🙄. Maybe THAT was the lesson
Salad bruh. I love it when people in comments sections come up with practical solutions. Everyone in the comments section usually either gets offended by the video or makes a joke. A joke is all well and good, but practical advice is great and sounds to me like what should be the point of the internet.
A few years back a family friend of ours was painting the third floor exterior of an apartment on some unsecured scaffolding. He finished a bit and apparently (according to his workmate) stepped back like he was going to have a quick look at the section. Doctors told us it would have been instant, he didn’t suffer Safety is important
Nowadays, companies don't do ads with people talking to the camera by showing their products. You can tell that this is going to be a trap shock psa even before the point was told across.
This just reminds me of the time my dad fell of the ladder. He broke his thumb. I hate how I Cried when My dad fell down and I'm laughing at this. I need help.
There is nothing wrong with you. I were sad when your dad got hurt in real life, because that actually happened. When watching an advertisement, you were able to derive entertainment from a completely made up story.
Safety first. Always be careful while working on ladders, since falls are one of the most common cause of accidents and injuries when people are on the job.
man when i first saw this ad, i thought "ooh that would've hurt" and now i crack up at them just because of how the ad has been set up. like how it's made to look like they're advertising a product and then the accident happens...looks like that guy is smiling before he falls as well.
I'm going straight to hell, I've never been able to help laughing at this. "Protects...against...woah!" LMAO makes for awkward moments when it comes on at other people's places. Can never tell if they find it funny.
That's what I'm trying to figure out. I'm guessing CGI. Remember the Pepsi [or was it Dr.pepper] stickyman commericial? They've got seamless 3D techniques. If it isn't a close-up you can't tell the difference.
Does anyone know how they did the stunt for it? It always got me watching it on tv, the camera doesn't cut one, and he falls onto what is obviously a hard driveway?
Damn, the Kiwis make some impacting commercials. If you saw that and didn't know what to expect you'd shit your drawers and get the message at the same time. They couldn't show that here in the states, too many douches would object. As a side note, that Solarshield really does flow on like a dream.
You know, I was about to buy that but nooooooooooo they guy had to mess the commercial up. Were they so low budget they went with the first take? *wink*
