Next time at arby's also try the beef and cheddar here the roast beef sandwich will have melted cheddar cheese in it.. Then again they will surely add that cheese to whatever sandwich you choose and I recommend it

If you go back again order a Classic roast beef, they'll ask you if you want a Double, or half pound. You can get them w with or without the Cheddar Cheese sauce. If you get it plain try the Arby's sauce and Horsie sauces together. It tastes amazing. Arby's is one of my favorites Fast Food places to eat. I love the regular Roast Beef sandwiches. They used to have Onion Rings but they discontinued them. They were so darn good. But their seasoned curly fries are really good too.

Not uncommon for fast food orders to get mixed up. Beef n Cheddar is my go to at Arbys.

Arby's Sauce is great. It's like a vinegary BBQ sauce.

I've always preferred Schlotzsky's to Arby's or any other deli sandwich shop. Schlotzsky's Deli and Schlotzsky's Austin Eatery are based entirely on the founders' trip to New Orleans, where they tried muffaletta sandwiches for the first time. Italian immigrants began selling olive salad sandwiches on traditional muffaletta bread, and the founders of Schlotzsky's based an entire chain off of their re-creation. Originally, Schlotzsky's only sold the Original in a "share" size - an 8 inch toasted sourdough muffaletta bun with ham, Cotto salami, Genoa salami, olive spread, cheddar, mozzarella, parmesan, lettuce, tomato, red onion, mustard, and garlic butter, cut into quarters. Today, it's more about the meat and the bread than the olive salad, and the sandwiches are available in smaller sizes, but you can still get the Giant 8 inch. There's also pizzas and calzones on sourdough crusts. My go-to sandwich is the Chicken Bacon Smoke Cheesy, with roast chicken, bacon, cheddar, and Southwest Chipotle sauce, then I add olives, mozzarella, roasted red peppers, green bell pepper, salad greens, tomato, and red onion. Each store tends to have slightly different bread, as no two bakers are alike. The Georgia-based Austin Eatery chain is the slightly more "hipster" version, with alcohol available. But the deli chain has never really taken itself too seriously, having had "Big S" cookies on the menu, last year's "bare-naked" pizza promo with a bare pizza crust blurred out, and the original store in Austin pretended to be spies when taking call-in orders, talking in hushed whispers and assigning secret codenames to the customer. Nothing like telling the cashier that you're picking up an order for "Posh Pickle." And Schlotzsky's does offer horseradish and Dr Pepper at most locations.

Gyro is usually with lamb but Arbys makes them with beef too. Normally you get Tzatziki sauce but with the beef Horsey sauce is probably good. I like the Jammoka shakes too. Your sandwich is a lot bigger than what I usually receive in the US.

The "gyro" is _theoretically_ Greek cuisine, to roughly the same extent that fortune cookies are Chinese cuisine. The singular "gyro" is a backformation from "gyros", which Americans consistently misparse as plural, because it ends in S. (In Greek, the s is a second declension noun ending, indicating nominative singular masculine, which is the lexical form for most second-declension nouns; the corresponding plural form would be "guroi"; but the majority of the Americans who would know this, are Christians who studied ancient Greek in order to read the New Testament in the original, which even most pastors don't do these days, so it's not that common. Most of the rest of the people who would know are first- or second-generation immigrants from Greece, which has never been one of the leading sources of immigrants here; and the remainder are generally humanities majors who wanted to study Homer.) Americans pronounce "gyros" as /JAI-roze/; authentic Greek pronunciation would be closer to /GURR-oss/ or possibly /YURR-oss/, depending on dialect; but Greek is not high on the list of languages that Americans know very much about, on average. In terms of the actual food, the Arby's product superficially resembles a common presentation (in terms of the bread and so forth) of the Greek guros, but the meat itself (which is what the word originally referred to) is completely different. If you buy products that are packaged in convenient easy-to-open cardboard packaging instead of those horrible impossible-to-open plastic bubbles, nobody thinks you're serious about the environment, because it doesn't feel like sacrifice or hardship. It objectively makes a larger difference for the environment, but that's not the point.

I love the Horsey Sauce. Arby's sauce is good too. I often use both. I've discovered things I like but wouldn't have ordered before a mistake led me to try it.

Horseradish sauce is traditional with sliced roast beef and prime rib. So horsey sauce on RB sandwich makes sense. RB gets soaked in au jus dip before stuck on bun or roll.

Getting your Arby's order mixed up is usually a given at one of their restaurants. I always check to make sure they got the order correct before I leave the parking lot. (I usually order at the drive thru). My favorite is the Classic Roast Beef.

Arby's Sauce = Barbeque Sauce (sweet and smoky) and Horsey-Sauce = Horse-radish sauce (hot/spicy). It's best if you don't add either. The best part of Arby's is (was) that it's just meat and bread with no vegetable filler. The classic roast beef sandwich is amazing as is the Chicken-Bacon-Swiss which has bacon, breaded-chicken breast, and hollandaise sauce on a sesame seed bun (This was later changed to a crappy brioche bun and had lettuce and tomato added probably as a personal spite to me and my fellow carnivores a.k.a. their primary market).

As an aside bottles of Arby's Sauce is available in the condiment aisle of certain supermarkets. Another sauce they have is the Pepper Ketchup.

Courtmey, you ended up with a new gyro, albeit a roast beef one. Most people will order a roastbeef sandwich which incorporates the usual burger bun and I think that is why you are surprised. Roast beef, Roast beef n cheddar, or french dip n swiss are the classics. the newer fare are the gyro (as you have tried), reuben (corned beef or turkey), turkey, and ham sandwiches, similar to the roast beef ones. They have loaded jacket potatoes, fries, and poutine (at some locations). I ended up on Arby's Canada not USA. No poutine or jacket potatoes in the US. If you come to Orlando FL again, you should try what Arby's Roast Beef was when they were founded, in the form of its last remaining competitor from its early days, Beefy King, which only exists here. Real roast beef (not pressed and formed), tator tots (no fries), and super thick shakes.

What you got was the Gyro. Roast beef in a flatbread, with tomato, lettuce and either a yogurt sauce, or something akin to it. I've had it a few times and agree, it's quite tasty.

Curly fries are best with a side of cheese to dip them in but you have to ask for it and I’ll give you a little plastic cup with lid full of cheese

What I usually have , if they have both , is Dr. Pepper & Mountain Dew (50/50). I call it a Dr. Dew.

Team Dr. Pepper! I didn't know they sold gyros. They sell their horsey (horseradish) sauce in stores here in the States like at Walmart., but the store-bought sauce is very weak and is basically just mayonnaise. I had to buy a separate thing of extra hot prepared horseradish to make it taste more like the sauce at the restaurant. Horseradish pairs well with roast beef, but is usually served with prime rib.

The Gyros are fantastic at Arby's, and also the curly fries. They also now have crinkle fries, but they kept the curly fries too.

I don't go to Arby's often because it's a bit overpriced. But when I do go, I usually get the brisket sandwich and mozzarella sticks

Courtney, I eat Arby's on the road all the time. Did find you a neat Navy Aircraft landing on Carrier. Pull up Voiceover- Wave off deck! Cockpit View- in a EA 18G Growler. It's great. Just seen another, on 4-20, MUST SEE. F/A18 Super Hornet in action. Carrier Break, Missile lunches and chasing. Highspeed monoverse and more. By the way Horsey Sauce is great. Did get the Arby's Housey sauce from the store. Not as good as the Arby's Restaurant little packages.

Arby's is pretty good, far as fast food goes it stands above most other sandwich chains, my issue has always been their prices, definitely not cheap by any means. Curly Fries are a must, their regular Fries just plain suck in comparison.

Arby's is definitely my favorite fast food place I usually go with the roast beef and cheddar or the French dip and Swiss. But they are the only place that also does mozzarella sticks.

The traditional gyro from Arby’s is amazing. I can only speak of the fast food chains locally but Arby’s is by far the top dog here as far as quality goes. I used to like Hardee’s (Carl’s Jr) roast beef more but our local stores quality has really gone downhill while Arby’s has improved drastically. I’ll second the comments about the French Dip as well. Actually I have about 5 favorites from Arby’s. The Wagu beef burger was very good as well. Culver’s does have the best burgers from a chain here as well (5 Guys is pretty close but expensive). The Mom and Pops stores generally have the best burgers in most places though.

The horsie sauce is my favorite.

Gyros are one of the few things I order from Arby's.

It looks like you got the roast beef gyro. I've never tried that. I usually get the roast beef classic and use the horsey sauce. I like the turkey, ranch & bacon wrap, too.

I believe Gyros (incorrect spelling) originated in Turkey. I believe they also use lamb instead of beef. Horseradish is the bomb. A nice kick to the meal.

The beef and cheddar is the burger that you’re thinking of. The gyro has the peta bread and does taste different. And you need to try the Arby’s sauce on the curly fries.

my favorite sandwich from Arby's is the french dip it's on a haogie bun with 3 ounces of roast beef and swiss cheese and au jus dip. the market fresh sandwich's are great also

You should try a SUGAR Dr.Pepper. Made with real pure cane sugar and not sweetened corn syrup. Blow your socks off! You got a Gyro Roast Beef (pronounced year-oh as in zero). It was served on a flat pita bread and probably had a little tziki sauce (greek yogurt\cucumber sauce) on the bottom as is custom for greek gyros.

Arby's is not known for their Gyro. The classic roast beef or beef & cheddar (my fave) is the way to go.

If you did not get what you ordered, you had the typical Arby's experience.

Love the beef and cheddar, but you MUST get the Jamocha milkshake.

Hello I am amused when ppl say Its not what I thought it was to be and not say what is is they thought is was suppose to be lol.

Best things at Arbys are the mozzarella sticks, premium nuggets and mint chocolate chip shake.

I could be wrong but I think a lot of fast food places no longer give napkins unless you ask. The amount of times I get delivery with no napkins is increasing, and of course there's no way to order napkins through an app. I tried that wagyu burger last year and it was the driest, blandest burger. Maybe i just got a bad one.

Mozzarella sticks is the best thing at Arby’s

You should have gotten the classic Arby's Beef & Cheese with the Arby's sauce & Horsey sauce. The curly fries are great. But what Arby's has that no one else has and totally rocks. Is their Jamoca Almond Shake. LAX airport in Los Angeles has an In-N-Out Bugers there. Get a Double Double animal style for a better than Culver's buger.✌️❤️🌹

Good Review. But it isn't Arby's unless you get Potato Cakes. For decades they were the only Potato item on the Menu until Curly Fries were added. Next time get a Classic; it's their Signature sandwich. 🙂

Their Gyros aren't half bad. I usually get them with extra tzatziki sauce. They have the best curly fries. Jack in the Box is a close second. Next time you should try the Mozzarella sticks. I usually don't like Mozzarella sticks because they typically taste pretty bland to me, but Arbys are really good.

Exactly my summation of Arby's...not as good as Culver's, but a very good lunch nonetheless. If you come down to New Orleans, STAY AWAY from the chain restaurants. There's SO MUCH GREAT FOOD all around, and it's best done at the places native to here. Muffaletta from Maspero's... perfect lunch food.

I live in Chicago lots of gyro restaurants here, no one goes to Arby's to get one here. Apparently she ordered it because she read off the receipt. Next time you go there if the is a next time get a classic roast beef and a french dip. If you can't eat it all you can heat it up later.

Arby's hot roast beef sandwich with Arby's sauce is delicious. The horseradish is ok, but the Arby's sauce is best.

that is a gyro (yee-ro), basically a pita wrap, traditionally greek food item.

I don't go to Arby's very much. Or even have a desire to. But when the mood hits me I use the Horsey Sauce all the way. Even if their horseradish is so mild almost not to be there at all. I still goes well with the roast beef.
