My grandparents on my dads side (grandpa is Scottish, and grandmother is Maori) live in Wellington. I skype occasionally with them as I have no contact with my father. I have plans to go to New Zealand at some point.

Unfortunately it's not a Kiwi. The body shape is wrong and Kiwis don't have a pointed tale. I can't identify it, but it's possibly some kind of oystercatcher, which live on the coast in many parts of the North Island.

Thanks for the artistic, creative, and well-shot footage. I was also in Northland in December 2012 though didn't take any film. It's a beautiful part of NZ given its mild, sunny climate and seascapes, plus friendly, hospitable population. God bless!

What's not to like? Wonderfully smooth and subtle dissolves, very nice slow zooms (done in post I guess since the 600D does not have a power zoom) all in all a well and thoughtfully produced video with very suitable music track. I'm there next year so will have to start practicing!

I used mostly Canon EF-S 17-55mm, some shots with Canon EF 70-200 and few with Canon 8-15 fisheye. Crop sensor of 600D.
