That's why this channel is becoming so popular, unbiased no punches pulled straight talk. Tim calls it as he see's it and the man has the knowledge of, and the passion for the beautiful game. Looking forward to seeing the 100K subs.
Sunday 11 Aug 2024, 7am. I see 100k subscribers, Tim. Well done, very deserving. I think 85% are 🇿🇦🤣🤣 We rugby fans are loving your straight shooter attitude, with zero "bullshit baffles brains" to contend with. I really like that you dont rate a player if you haven't seen enough of him.
Last year in Arg vs Boks in Creevy 100th game he did not start the game and came on after 70+ minute. He was not respected for what he achieve for ARG and I felt so bad for him. He was the 1st Argentine to reach 100 tests. I was so happy today for Creevy pretty much the winning try at the end
Been subbed to you around the 1.2k subs mark it's awesome to see this channel grow I loved the SA coverage over the tests and gave a great perspective which we don't see much on the Ireland/UK side. Awesome job Tim keep up the great work
At Tim, just noticed you’re over the 100k well done. Keep doing what you’re doing and you’ll be 200k in no time. Thanks for the content. And to everyone: let those ads run and get Tim some money, only 15 seconds of your life.
100k!!! 🔥 Big congrats Tim. Been following before the World Cup. What a great success your channel has become. From all of us thanks for the great content.
Blackadder was fine but he's been played out of position he's a 7. Blackadder got the lineout turnover the lead to Ardie and co muppeting up that pass that ended up in our goal line and argentina scoring off that scrum. Nobody would of made that tackle on the puma's 8 with the scrum getting destroyed and turned and the loosie having to hang on until the last second. Argentina played that try perfectly no team in world rugby would of stopped that try with that scrum going perfectly. Tuungafasi and TJ are done. Completely washed up.
Regarding being asleep at midnight. Nah. We were all staying up late to watch Lydia Ko win her first and only Olympic gold medal to go along with her previous silver and bronzes in ladies' golf . What a fairy tale ending to a fantastic career. Admittedly golf is usually as boring as watching paint dry. However, this match was special.
Definetly time to see Bauedy at 1st 5. Even though he was a bit quiet against England I still would like to see Finau back at 6 he still shifts bodies with his size
Is it just me or does Razor look like he has aged a decade since he got the All Blacks job? I think he’s learning fast that you don’t win test matches on vibes alone - Argentina were the team with a game plan.
Yeah I think he's starting to feel the immense pressure the job comes with. Not only did we lose, but the Argies also put on 38 points. It is easy to forget that with the close score. 38 points is a massive score against the ABs. Despite the loss, for me the bright side was the reffing. Gardner is a class act. Rugby is becoming unwatchable with overly officious refs. He's the kind of ref that stops me switching over to the league.
He's fast learned that expansive "Harlem Globetrotters" style of Super Rugby (where you get scores of 45-38) won't cut it in test rugby. Defence wins matches and at the moment the AB's don't have it
Robertson still has a lot of work to do with a broken AB team. Some good signs there, some players definitely have had enough opportunities to impress and have singularly failed to do so, NZ seem to have lost the hard edge of past teams. I'm not in meltdown as a Kiwi supporter, Argentina played some bloody good football and would have been a handful for any International team, so well done Los Pumas, congrats to the team and their supporters - who really were a highlight for mine. Robertson has a week to work on the team, which apparently didn't follow the game plan, make some line up changes, and exact some retribution in Game 2, of course he is facing an Argentina team that will also improve through the week. Regardless of outcome should be a bloody good game to watch.
5:10 Just triple checked and the miss pass was Ardie. Aumua was standing in the first pod. I think Ardie's pass caught everyone off guard -- probably because it looked like one of his trademark outrageous dummies.
They definitely lacked leadership in the last 30 mnts... I think Sam Cane will add a level of calmness to the forwards, along with Ardie. It's probably worth looking at Plummer at 10, considering that he is in the squad and very calm and mature personality.
I like your show Tim and am pleased it is growing in popularity, well done! I would rate the ABs at about a 5.just functional but only that. The overwhelming impression I am left with is the ABs have suffered a major loss to their mana, they look like just an ordinary International Team. Argentina played very well and they deserved to win.
@@llewellynlamb9545Thank you, this imaginary narrative of always playing running rugby is a myth. They are also not choosing the correct plays, trying to run out unnecessarily.
It's not Razor, its been sliding for some time. Second in the WC was a surprise. AB becoming less strategic and more abrasive, almost like they switched with the Springboks. There is more to rugby than just picking the biggest fastest players.
One thing that wasn't mentioned: Razor bought subs on at 65 mins...you can't give them only 15 mins to get into top gear. We need to bring our subs on earlier maybe 55th minute to give them 25 mins. What do you think Tim about the subs minutes?
@@oswaldhartzenberg6008 World Cup winning 10 ? In 2015 he was on the bench , and always came on to play fullback, he was there as cover for 10 but wasn’t required
@@oswaldhartzenberg6008 he wasn't playing 10 when we won the World Cup. He was on the bench and came on at 15. People forget he did play 10 quite recently and had some absolute shockers. Doesn't mean he's a bad 10, just not a clear cut easy decision
@@Dunnerstunner369yeah not a bad 10. World player of the year at 10 twice. They moved Barrett from 10 to 15 and the reign of All Blacks dominance finished. Other factors there aswell but at his peak I haven't seen a better rugby player
Love the channel Tim! Fully agree with you on no scrums for 60min. Can’t wait to hear what John Kirwan has to say on The Breakdown. We all know how much he wants to get rid of the scrums. Want union to be like league😢
I can’t remember an ab coach coming into a job with so much hype around him , To be really honest , that performance looked like early foster was still coaching, Directionless helter skelter rugby
@@camwells9726 Yes let's see where things are after 30 games & let's compare The Talent that Foster had compared to what we have at this moment.Beauden 33 at end of his career,a thin depth of Talent in key positions accross NZ,our National game in decline & receding, because of Cultural changes,Ethnic changes & absolutely incompetent administration
@@alistermacpherson7120 I have big concerns for nz rugby , and I didn’t mean to be comparing the two in a way to see who is better , that’s almost irrelevant now , we aren’t going back , But more that our problems might run a bit deeper than, putting in a better coach will fix everything The fact our u 20s get bullied regularly now should be enough of a warning to us all
@@camwells9726 Wow we share some similar views.1 Rugby in NZ is becoming less relevant almost daily,we are a hugely changed cultural & ethnic mix.2 Basketball, & Soccer are fastest growing sports in NZ.3 Professional Rugby & refusal to pick overseas based players is only hastening demise of our beloved game.& 4 TMOS stupid rule changes are the absolute bottom line on the slippery slope
I don't see AB passion. Or ruthless "oneness". I watched Oz and SA in the tunnel... the Ozzies like rabbits in the headlights, the boks singing.....just as dramatic as the Haka. ( are they only singing it because they have to these days?)
I was about to say your enthusiasm matched how the ABS played and then you mentioned that you sounded underwhelmed - hhhaa... we were rubbish man!.... Look forward to hearing your comments about a real team... SA
Agree 100%. I would like to see Scott play at 6, playing 3 7's has never worked well for the ABs, but they keep on doing it. SA looking like strong early front runners
100K ! Congratulations mate! Keep up the good work. Would like to see more collaborations with some other rugby channels too. Check out Two cents rugby too.
I personally think Vaai was missing in action & one of our greatest areas of deficiency is at lock.We have Barrett & Tuapoluta as our starter neither of whom I truly believe are true International class.Darry is a real prospect,Lord seems to be injury prone.Looking at SR we have names like Strange,Hanna,Holland & not many others.Blackadders value to any side he plays for is the unseen stuff, such as sharing a vital line-out or winning an important turnover. He is like Paoalili they get penalized frequently but if a loose forward is doing his core role then he isn't get penalized
Well I would like to disagree with most people and say I'm a fan of vaii 14 tackles won his own lineout ball and linked nicely as a distributor witch was a set move. Bring back concrete shoulders and Luke on the blind and maybe Quinn at 2nd. And no I'm not a chiefs supporter
@@MarkCampbell-qt1cv Unfortunately both are injured & unavailable,so it's a case of having to shuffle the cards you have & we are seriously deficient in some key areas, but Rome wasn't built in a day
As a springbok fam I reckon the reason for the loss is that like the springboks, the Argentians are getting the needed exposure at their clubs in Europe . The physicality has been lost in super rugby .. new Zealand and Australian pundits boast about their teams that bully the samoan and Fijian teams until they face real competition.
New coach of Argies, Filipe Contepomi and his support team did a fine job. His players put NZ under heavy pressure being in their faces. Tackled, distributed and kicked well, heavely supported each other. Matera a collossus as captain he led by example fighting in the front lines. Then at the end 39 year old former captain Augustyn Creevy came on to the field to inflick more pain and to finish NZ off. Matera helping him over the line for the winning try. Was NZ really that bad or was it not that the Argies playing well suffocated them. NZ threw all they had at Argies including a multetude of illegal cheating side entries to get their usual unfair forward momentum. Inspite of this help from ref Angus Gardner they could not shrug off the Argies ! Cheating is just a integral part of NZ rugby !
Honestly I thought Blackadder was our best loose forward then Dalton then Savea. Not sure why Blackadder gets a big dent for one tackle when he did so many good things. And Savea who didnt do much doesnt get penalised for that pass that put mckenzie under pressure leading to another bad pass which ultimately won Argentina the match. If Savea doesnt make that horrific pass . . . We win . . . Simple as that. Edit: he's got it wrong Savea did throw that pass from the ruck I watched it again this morning it was him.
It’s tough to admit as a kiwi fan, but i think we going to struggle with the top teams for the next few years. Good luck Razor, hope you surprise us all
One of the greatest disservices done to a player and a team was the move of Rieko Ioane, a few years back, to center. He was brilliant on the wing and should be put back in that position.
Truly, losing a test match is not good, worse at home. However, losing is no death but a lesson to be learnt. However, take away nothing from Argentina who deserved the win. But ABs remain my best team in the world.
As a kiwi. I was gutted with the performances. I dont mind losing if we play well. But that was very underwhelming. I think you have sumed it up pretty well. Credit to Argentina. Their loose forwards were brilliant and their defence was something to be admired. The honeymoon for Razor is over. I think people and the media, may start to check themselves, and realise, Foster wasn't a bad coach?! World rugby has gotten better.
I must have watched a different game, our line-out with 2 new locks went great we gifted Argentina a lucky try from a slap back & lost 7 points of our own with a forward pass.Cant wait for next week
Hey Tim, just rewatched it and that dud pass (before D’Mac’s one) was definitely by Ardie, not Aumua - Aumua was actually in frame waiting for the pass 😊
I think D Mac had an off game but should be our 10. I also think Beauden B should stick at 15 with Will J at 14. I know Will is a 15 for the Crusaders but believe he plays better at wing. Beauden and D Mac to play well together as they're both interchangable as 10 & 15. I believe it works. Just look what happened during the England test match where it was not going well at all but as soon as Beauden came off the bench to 15, him and D Mac just changed the tempo of the game.
Hey Tim agree it was an AB under performance. Only two AB players caught my eye were Sam (I think just may be the next great) and Ardie. Razor may also be right in that they did not play as they trained. I suspect you may see a huge come back next week.
No nightmares Tim , just a whole lot of ' introspection from the rest of the rugby playing world ' ....ya can see how people look for cracks at the 1st sign. The opposition have short memory about NZ rugbys percentage winning rate year after year for a looooong time now. " What do i reckon apart from AB's technical faults , coaching etc.... ? The wounded beast will emerge this Saturday , to play with tweaks to certain positions & hopefully more conviction from an All Blacks side. best John (NZ)
The AB's are so used to gapping teams in the last 10 minutes when it doesn't happen they can look quiet ordinary as the panic sets in. Beaten by a team with more desire and aggression but how much am I looking forward to next week to witness the backlash but somehow don't think this Pumas side will be loosing any sleep.
Love to see Caleb Clarke get a run as he is a big ball runner and can get good go forward for the ABs - also like too see Beaudy come from the bench as he was such a good closer in the England games. The impact was not there from the bench this week. I would personally like to see Proctor come in for Jordie Barrett who needs some time to recapture his full potential 🖤🤍🖤
Can one suggest the lack of scrums lead to a worse AB performanc . . . but again the Pumas do have a strong scrum also. Could that lean towards the less scrums (world rugby rules pending) having a different results or approuch for future games all round?
Well done nice summary😗 bb to 10 j barrett to 15 Proctor -- alb midfield 🤔reiko jiordan or clsrke wings We where totally out played-- bring cane in🥱💪 kiwi in the phills -- lets not forget harry p class10
Razor brought in 5 or 6 specialists. Fat lot of good that's doing!!! Coaches need to take responsibility. The players go by how they're coached. Don't blame it all on the players.
I see alot of fans criticizing Razor but he himself self said not to expect much. It's clear he is experimenting so it's just right Argentina won that game because they came to play. Against England we barely got away. My expectations was we going to lose this match.
D-Mac has always relied on acceleration and courage to play his game. However, I can recall his debut against Italy when he consistently took the wrong decisions time after time in a dominant team, under no pressure, playing a team who at that time were pretty poor. Back then, I honestly thought he was going to be a one test All Black. I also think my gut feeling was correct. I have subsequently always been skeptical of his tactical ability. His physical abilities are not matched by his rugby acumen.
Richie Mounga hasn’t done anything significant at test level, he was a solid player but not world class. His fans claim he was “one of the greatest” based entirely off his super rugby achievements which are meaningless when we’re talking about test level.
