I would've compared Levin more to Huntly, always felt like Palmerston North was the Hamilton of Wellington. I like all four of those places, to be honest. Well, maybe not Huntly.
@@everythingshiny If the Council listened to the farmers that know how those kind of things worked they would have cleared up the lake years ago but they like doing their own thing. Instead of listening to the farmers they blame them and come up with bullshit on why it's our fault.

Cob n Co is alright... sorta. We've had it for years and worst of all they never change the food around it's always the same and it would be nice to have something different once in a while and it's the most fancy place in Levin (whispers is acceptable, sorta) but the rest of the 'restaurants' you see are take-aways.

Also Pescini's are some of the local growers in Levin.
Shaeee I should rephrase that, I know where the idea of that statue design comes from. Quick history of the Pescini’s, my great great grandfather Tommaso (Thomas) Pescini came from Italy in sometime in the 1860’s was one of the very first market gardeners of the hutt valley, one of his many children Justin my great grandfather went to levin to buy land sometime in 1940’s-1950’s for two of his sons my grandfather John Pescini and my uncle Gordon Pescini (who past away in 2012), land which we still own till this day and the current person living on that property is my grandfather. The statue design is based on a old newspaper clipping of my dad Christopher (Chris) Pescini. Our family business is Pescini Brothers Limited or Pescini Bro’s LTD. Our pack house is located down Kimberly road you’ll know when you see it. Huge as white shed with blue roof. Also when I'm talking about history of Levin I'm talking about farming history, again I really need to rephrase shit.
Omfg I visited New Zealand in the 90’s and journeyed from Palmerston North down to Wellington to get the ferry across to the South Island. I’ve just retraced my route on Google Maps and discovered, nearly 30 years later, that I went through fucking Levin!
Hey don't knock the place i was born and breed in Levin and lived in the vallage of Ohau went to Horo Collage and worked at the H.E.P.B and at the BP before moving to Rotorua in 1998..
Parents used to take us to Rotorua 40 years ago and the highlight was eating at the Cobb & Co there. Used to be attached to a hotel we stayed at. I think they disappeared but looks like they are been brought back again.
