New Zealanders buy a lot of used vehicles from Japan, as they provide exceptional value, plus we drive on the same side of the road! Mostly cars, with a number of smaller commercial vehicles , particularly minibuses. But the occasional truck, too.

@@TheClunkingFist　Thanks for your comment. As you said, there are many used Japanese cars from Japan that drive on the left, which is rare in developed countries. There seem to be a lot of roundabouts even on roads with heavy traffic, but in Japan they are only found in suburban areas with low traffic. It's interesting how different countries have different car cultures.

Lol, it's not really a town, what town there is, is behind the camera person. It is an intersection of two highways and so a bunch of support businesses have sprung up. Calm down.

Most towns here in N.Z have main highways that run straight through them.

In New Zealand the max weight limit for these trucks without a permit is 44 tonnes. Trucks that display the bright yellow "H" decals have a permit that allows them to exceed the max weight restrictions. Trucks that have these permits can haul up to 62 tonnes, and also have to operate under specific routes issued by the RCA (Road Controlling Authority), which include roads and bridges that are certified to accommodate for the additional mass and/or length of these trucks. What this essentially means is these trucks will be issued to only use our State-Highway roading network.

Exactly what it is, I retired 10 years ago from Bridgestone commercial, and serviced 60 of these unit's, plus forestry and farms, plus 24 7 callouts, 100 hour's per week. Sadly worn-out at 57, henceforth retired, these unit's are so good to work on compared to 50 years ago, they are paying good money nowadays,
