Welcome to the video, Another great day out in Beautiful New Zealand South Island filming Big Rigs!
Big thanks Rebecka and the team for putting on a great show in Christchurch the TMC truck show.
Still managed to put together a video but apology's a lot of footage was lost with no sound =( so i run music over some rigs.
You will see Kenworth which has some of the nicest looking rigs out here, other trucks are Kenworth, Mack, Mercedes-Benz,Scania , Fuso, Mercedes-Benz, MAN, Daf western star, International and more!

The model name of that truck is the International 9870, built right here in NZ.

Twin steers are extremely rare on the west coast of the US. We use lift axles to get our bridge weights. Do none of the factories offer twin steer or is every truck bespoke?

Twin steers are very popular down here in N.Z, for all types of trucks too. Their purpose isn't only for weight restrictions (which are quite strict down here), but they're also to help these trucks maneuver around a lot of our more extreme narrow roads with tight bends/corners. We do also use lift axels as well, though not as commonly. Most of the truck brands we have produce twin steers directly from the factory. Some, like the European brands are mainly specially built for the N.Z market. Similar case with the American brands, however most of those trucks are manufactured in Australia, not the States. Some brands also have twin steer conversions right here in N.Z too. We also build International trucks (like the one at 2:10), the International 9870, designed specifically for our conditions.

Well Australia and New Zealand have to be the last places in the world to see cabover trucks from American brands like Kenworth, Freightliner, and International Navistar.

1:25: What is that machine in the front of the trailer besides the mini excavator and the pallet jack? Some kind of zero radius mower? 1:47: Oh my gosh, dude! A Navistar fresh from the factory and with a long nose. The strangest thing is that it has 5 axles, being the one at the back, which has a pneumatic lifting system. 2:04: Looking at it from a distance, the axle configuration of both the trailer and the Navistar tractor... I don't know. It reminds me of the American setting. Yes indeed. The length of the trailer is a bit shorter than not those American trailers that are longer than Europe by a short time. 2:42: Really? Do you really even do truckspotting if it's racing trucks? And on top of that, a Bedford, man! I don't know about me, but I think Bedford was in Oceania for a very short time. Another thing would be that that truck belonged to a team from the United Kingdom, that would be a very big possibility. 3:45: I can't believe it! A Freightliner in New Zealand! It is common for there to be trucks from American manufacturers in New Zealand (Kenworth, Mack, Navistar, etc.), but a Freightliner... I wish you would capture a Ford 9000 in New Zealand. 6:43: What the f**k...? A 90's Isuzu from a Korean company? Next capture, a Hyundai Trago in New Zealand.

Yes, zero radius mower. Plenty of Freightliners in New Zealand. Not the most common, but heaps of them about. Tens of thousands of Bedfords in New Zealand. One of the most common trucks in the early days! Tk was super common. TM, the biscuit tin, was also very common.
