After seeing zambia south africa and morocco losing, my hopes remain only on you again nigeria, to reach minimum the semifinals. Still cant believe cameroon got robbed. Love from morocco to nigeria 🇲🇦❤🇳🇬
Nice one from Super Falcons. Improvement is still needed in defence. Ebi should stop doing close back passes to avoid goals from Error when the world cup commences. Midfield also needs to be more concrete. Using the wings to create counter attacks is good but when the opponents have a stronger defense on their wings, it may not yield results.
Falcons need to do more work on their ground play and be more solid on the ball, US, Sweden, Brazil & Spain are really good teams to watch out for, they made some defensive mistakes that those teams will take advantage of. Any it was a good win but they can be better. I wish the falcon well
we dont care much about nz football especially nz women football, i didnt even know (or any of my friends) this was happening until this came into my feed
I will never understand why we play corners short, Foster can put a really good delivery into the box and currently it seems its the only way we can score, so infuriating. Its the same with the phoenix, most of the goals they score are from corners and they waste so many opportunities by playing the ball short.
A team is better when the opposition is not good enough. NZ is not good enough technically and tactically. You wonder what they do in training. They have had enough time to iron out all these issues.
Who are these folks trash talking the women's game in this CS? You can do better, please! Women's football has come to stay, and there's absolutely nothing you all can do about it. Kudos to the Super Falcons of Nigeria for the big win. We are picking up at the right moment 🔥🔥🔥🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
Not one bloody soul in the stadium there. So please dont sit 10000 miles away and pretend to give two shits. You can watch this if you want, no body is stopping you. But don't expect men to push this sport for the ladies, when they themselves aren't interested in it.
Coach search for local players in Nigeria, there are many who are strong and fast. They are some who are far better than oshola. Organise competition across the country, you will get viable and quality players.
Far better than Oshoala? Stop living in dream world. I have been watching the current NWFL season also recently Bayelsa Queens in last year's CAF Champions League and no striker is half the level of Oshoala or even Oparanozie. They have long way to go. The best local striker last season Gift Monday is already in this team & came on in the 2nd half. She is now based in Spain. Abeg talk wetin yon know not just anyhow. Yes, there are good local players but they lack exposure and the best ones are being transferred to Europe on almost a monthly basis. From the U20's Abiodun is on her way to the US, Demehin & Imoran have moved to France just last year (they both played 90 mins in this game). Please check your facts before posting.
@@charlesnwankwo7836 they are looking for already made. There are female players who play only street ball not even in Nigeria female league because of lack of financial help, they are there wasting,no one to help. Some of them are more faster, skillful and stronger than even oshola he interdependent everytime
@@charlesnwankwo7836 Nigeria league needs to get more investment and make the female and male league like the EPL, look at South African men and women league how quality it is that is why South Africa female have improved
NZ pressure improved in the last 15 minutes of the game. They don't have a strong enough Football base with a smaller population. It will be hard for them to get out of their group on this their momentous occasion of hosting the World Cup I hope they can spread the game to other communities more even the immigrants and and indigenous Maori. I am sure they can convince the rugby ladies to lace up for footie if the pay is right. We all know how dominate and tough the Kiwis are in rugger. Also learn from Australia...Fijians are also a Country that can turn their physicality and speed into awesome football if the Foot ball Association manage to generate interest for more players.
According to you... "They can't play well because they have a small population"... Meanwhile, your country's team can never defeat them. If you have nothing to say, you better remain silent.
@@joejulian617 what is my Country's team ? You knucklehead. I am trying to uplift the hosts of the World Cup and at least hope they have a decent World Cup. They lost all their friendly matches. As someone who likes to grow the game I was only wishing New Zealand well and hope they can at least get a moment of some glory by being co-host. I don't understand your negative attitude to my comment. You need to keep your hatred and anger away from positive people. You seem like a very toxic human being.
Funny how NZ 'does not have enough people' to be competitive in soccer but it does have enough people to be a world power in rugby. it is clear that population size has little to do with it.
It is doable. France, Holland, Germany and other European countries have National Football Teams that are multiracial. It projects an excellent blend of common humanity👍
As sports announcers the least you can do is master players names, to avoid calling them by their country name...case in point ..."the nigerian player" I know I sound petty but you seemed to know New zealand players names though...just saying...
I can’t believe New Zealand will be hosting the woman’s World Cup. They probably qualified by default of hosting. I feel sorry for the fans. They will watch a team lose all their opening games
Where are our defensive players; there appears to be only one with the goal keeper; we must stack the goalmouth ! why do we allow their offensive players to attack our half without any of ours putting in MAX effort to stop them. I would prefer us to boot the ball at their goal with max effort when within 15 - 20m of the goal; might score but there's the chance of rebounds; seems better than the dribbly attempts from headers or off balance kicks at goal; quite often their buildup is great only to be ruined by an intercepted pass. it's soul destroying to watch but good luck anyway.
Are these professional women? WTF 😂. Women World Cup is going to be sporting comedy! I honestly believe a bunch of guys playing football can beat the NZ team!
What did the commentators call the girl who scored the second goal? I think they called her something totally different from her actual name, lol. Incredible!
Jennifer Echegini. that is her actual name, was her first international goal they somehow messed it up with her middle name Onyi in the final scoreline, but the commentator said it right
We don't know how to keep possession of the ball, our midfield is weak and our style of scoring should not be cross and nodding alone let's try other means please.
I will be frank here. As a Nigerian, I'm not impressed with the falcons' style of play. 1) The midfield is flat 2) There is little link up play between attack and defence through midfield having to rely on flank play mostly. 3) Why take Onome Ebi to th this world cup, she is the weak link aaiiioof
Falcons are not just good enough. I'm expecting an early exit at the WWC. Zambia, Morocco, and South Africa might get one or two decent results. Africa countries HAVE caught up with Nigeria. By the way, why take Onome Ebi to this World Cup when there are better players?.
If these NZ women don’t want to weak crappy Nike shorts that are white because of menstrual concerns… …why don’t they just wear black shorts? Like NZ football teams wore before 1982? The strip looked pretty good…
NZ girls...you need abit of mongrel in ya..and this crossing the ball and hopefully someone can head it in from a mile away, is a waste of time..missing key play makers..tall keeper, tall center back tall center forward, and a midfielder who can play and pass like Messi
There is not even a bird in the stadium to watch the match, how is it possible ? New-Zealand is not serious about promoting football. No diversity,no progress. God loves everything that He created,if not so why would God have created it in the first place ?
With women's football there's a pretty clear feedback loop: when people shit on it, there's little interest and support, fewer resources go into it, fewer girls get involved as kids and the quality stays low. However the opposite is also true, just look at what has happened at Barcelona over the last few years. That's why it's often more engaging than the top levels of men's football: the league itself is an underdog, and every year they build more profile, the standard of play rises to match it. Most teams have loads of local, homegrown players, and it's not just a bunch of oligarchs having a dick swinging contest with blood money (yet, it's probably coming).
This was a closed friendly and no tickets were sold for the event. That is why no one is there. Funny how people like you ignore all the games with huge attendances. The Lionesses sold out Wembley twice, but of course you ignore that. It's sad that so many men are threatened by women kicking a ball. Get a life.
This highlight is only 10 mins long and I'm having a hard time getting through it. That's how freaking boring 65% of women's soccer is. No fans, terrible commentary, and bad camera angles. Imagine watching City vs Southampton highlights and then having to watch this?
@NewZealandFootball Are you going to do anything about the slew of sexist and abusive comments that keep appearing in response to your videos? It's upsetting for fans, particularly female fans, to keep reading these remarks over and over again. Even on this video, somebody has taken the time to tell us all 'how trash' women's football is. I'm thinking about unsubscribing soon just to get away from it, as it's really depressing to read.
how do you go through life without spontaneously combusting lol, its the internet, random people say random things on the internet, most importantly most comments are positive or neutral
