Hey Enrique thanks so much for posting this vid. Especially getting to see the back side, like you said there's no footage or references. We're having ours assembled by a Handyman, who asked about pre-drilled holes. The sales rep said there were but it's nice to see them. And the HCK fridge you added was a nice touch. Think we'll do same. And your counter choice is lovely. We're getting the Platinum grill and I hope it's all they claim it to be. We have always loved and had Webers so we'll see! And I wanted to share that we have had our Gozney dome for a month now and LOVE IT. We bought a SS prep table w/ wheels on Amazon 48" x 32" and it's perfect. You'll love your Gozney.
I did get the Gozney, and it is my fav appliance perhaps ever. We've been buying our dough mainly, but the wife has been making pretty good sourdough loafs, so we've used that a few times. The platinum grill seems really nice, I love that it has lights. If ours ever fails, I'll probably upgrade. So far, we are pretty happy with NewAge (love a good plug and play solution). I like that it is very customizable. During the holidays, we bought a countertop 22" Blackstone griddle at costco, and that was a nice affordable addition (we put it away with not in use). We used a Y splitter on the side burner's tank. It's not quite a built-in solution, but for $130, I must say it's pretty good.
Thanks for the review. Now that you had it for a bit. Any pro’s or cons? I already have an outdoor kitchen setup. Looking to get some of the newage cabinets for additional storage.
Hi Enrique, great video. Thank you for doing it. We are considering the newage Groove cabinets. How has your experience been with the appliances? Any signs of rusting now that it has survived one winter? Loved your custom countertop. Looks sooooooo good. Do you think with a custom countertop we might be able to put a custom sink in the sink cabinet. I want to put a smaller sink but Newage only sells the large sinks.
I've had this for 8 months and no signs of rust. For an off the shelf solution I am pretty happy with the cabinets and would buy them again. They have gotten wet a few times, however I do try to leave them covered must of the time. I custom sink is possible for any of the cabinets, you'd just have to remove a couple shelves. (they are tied up with screws)
The counter top is flush with the front dual side burner and grill, why make the back of the countertop extended over the cabinet and not flush with the back of the dual burner? I am ordering my countertop now.
The Platinum grill has more output and I like that it has lights and I know 100% it is compatible. A different brand is likely to require some modification, I think it is worth it if you are going with a really high end grill. (a lot better than the Platinum one) NewAge does include several brackets that are not needed to install their grill so my guess is that those are to support other brands. What I would do if is look for a manual online to be 100% sure.
You do not have any roof covering. Will you add one or are you ok without it. I am getting mine this week and considering buying some kind of a roof (pergola or someone to keep the grill and cabinets covered).
Be honest the setup I have is about 112” length and it’s a pain in the butt to remove and put back the covers. I order Backyard Discovery Rockport XL Black Metal which is a perfect covering/ roof. It’s a bit expensive but in FL I definitely need it.
Hi. At some point, we looked at Mont Alpi. Their grill has better output than ours. The wife was very set on the look of NewAge, and that was our main reason to go with it. Also, it seemed to me that NewAge might be a bit easier customize, and that also helped us decide.
You can. It stays upright on its own, but the lid does go about 1.5" further back, than the rest of the grill. If you'd like, I can post a profile photo with the lid open to my channel. Let me know
Be careful with putting a grill right up next to exterior wall .. an incredible amount of heat will come out from the back .. possibly scorching your wall
The cabinets come assembled. Just screw in the feet and screw them together. The grill just has to be placed and screwed, so I'd say about 1.5 hours mainly because of leveling and securing the gas tanks.
This is what you get when you buy cheap..... It all looks exciting and well-priced but becomes a boat anchor when something stops working and you can't get any help. I sucked it up and bought commercial gasketed weatherproof cabinets (Which these are not, rain will get inside them easily..) and Lifetime American made Fire Magic grill and burner. Will last a lifetime...
@@stbentoak5047 hi, I'm also not impressed with the new age cabinets - looks very 304 rusty. Where do I find commercial gasket commercial grade (are they marine grade?) cabinets?
