I know it's probably been said already, but the reason the voodoo dolls don't work some of the time is because each time you throw the doll into lava, it kills the guide. So you've got to wait a little bit for a new guide to spawn in for the voodoo dolls to work again
I was surprised to hear that "the inventory control in this game is awful as everybody said". I can understand that your inventory fills fast, but the inventory management is actually one of the best I know thanks to the huge amount of quality of life features. Quick stacking to nearby chests, quick resupply, several variants of portable storage which grants you additional full inventory spaces... They make it as pleasant as can be. I guess it can be frustrating if you don't know about these options, but I just find it hard to believe that "everybody said that it is awful" as I'd assume most people know about those and I don't think anyone of those people would complain.
a few explanations: 22:57 you can show the time by crafting a pocket watch 23:47 items despawn either when you leave and rejoin the game or when the loose item limit is reached which i think is 400 28:23 the voodoo doll summons the wall by killing the guide, but you already killed the guide with the previous doll so theres no guide to kill
The storage and inventory system in Terraria is among the best in my opinion. Granted you need to know the key bindings and buttons to get there. There is a "quick stack" button in the chest menu on the side and a "quick stack to nearby chests" button on the bottom right of your inventory if you don't have a chest menu open. For the purposes of restocking ammo or potions you have the "restock" option. Renaming shows the chest if you were to hover over it from far away. Sorting isn't automatic but I prefer this game's version way more than Minecraft's manual sorting. For your inventory issues: There are items that give an extra inventory (the size of a chest) for one inventory slot. The Piggy Bank + platform (any) and its more portable variant, the Money Trough and the Void Bag and Void Portal. The Piggy Bank and Money Trough share the inventory as do the Void Bag and Portal. For 2 item slots you increase your inventory by 2 chest sizes. Quite a lot of room.
I'm a new fan who's also getting back into terraria, used to play it all the time. I love seeing your style of content. It really does the game justice.
There’s a “quick stack to nearby chests” button just below the Ammo/Coins in the inventory that auto places items from your inventory to the correct chest, so if a chest already contains Dirt blocks, it will place any dirt blocks from your inventory to the chest. This button ignores any items in your hotbar and any favourited items (hold Alt and click to favourite an item)
9:49 actually, the crystal assassin armor lets you dash, which is not the same as sprinting fast lol. It lets you double tap a direction to rapidly move forward or backward, handy for certain bosses.
25:00 it's kinda dumb but plantera also enrages outside of the Underground jungle, either the arena was too high up or it was too far from any jungle blocks to count as a jungle biome
I would love to see you play Stardew Valley next, I know it's not so similar to Minecraft and Terraria but it's got similar vibes lol. I love seeing you branch out, playing other games, I think having a diverse selection of games to play is perfect for you, and your channellots of love Juice!!
Terrria is very min/max based, so if you go into a damage type it behooves you to commit a loadout for it. (You get 3 for free for a reason) Also jokey weapons get SUPER busted if you lean in fully with the accessories.
All of the informational items, such as the Stopwatch, Tally Counter, Metal Detector etc, will display information on the right side of your screen as long as they are in your Inventory, they don’t have to be equipped
look into combining your accessories, go thru them and go to the guide, huge power ups are waiting for you, for one, the feral claws enable autoswing on all swords, combine them with another glove item i forget, and then the fire damage stone and all of those accessories are in one slot and get more powered up, same with many other accessories, most of your damage boosting comes from them. also, ledgendary is the best reforge for melee, unreal for ranged and mythical for magic.
For my first ever playthrough i have 43 hours wich is about 110 days and im pretty far in. i have the terra blade, last boss i beat was the jungle golem and the martian invasion and i also have a full clorophite set in pretty proud of myself i didn't think i could make it this far
When you summon the wall of flesh, you sacrifice the guide with the voodoo doll and the guide dies and you have to wait for the guide to respawn before fighting the WOF again
just finished the 7 month old vids, let see what we got here. rod of discord while grinding for ores ? yes, some people need a fcking mob farm just to get that,, grab the shimmer and makebit harmony. you don't need to equip some acc like radar, metal detector, compass, etc to function tho. I figure it out back then when found it and it shows something on the right screen, so I just marked it as favorite. ah, voodoo doll, you need the guide to stay alive while throwing that, because it kill him and spawn wof, hahahah.
usually a big fan, but the music in this one is so distracting and overwhelming. it's also the same track repeatedly which is not fun for over 30minutes of gameplay. if it was a 5min highlights video i'd get it, but a 30 minute let's play does not need music at all.
