+Melissa Canadianfruity I agreee! I have so many classic swaddle blankets we never used! And the wrap type of carriers too much work! I also bought way too many newborn size onesies because they grow so fast I didn't even use them all!
Honestly it all ends up being different for everyone. I ended up using regular swaddlin blankets over the velcro as my son prefered being more loose and his arms. He'd cry if he was over swadfled. My son didnt really use the vswing so i didnt need it but it did come in handy periodically. I also never cared for the boppy personally(i had to dobside lying nursing cause if overactive letdown) he didnt like any type of carrier either cause he liked space. Im pregnant again and would buy all these things i didnt use again despite not using it with the 1st because every baby is different. I recommend keeping boxes amd receipt so you can return if you dont end up using.
We're expecting our first at the end of this month! We decided to get the Dockatot because we heard such amazing things about it. It seriously just seems like a really expensive dog bed but if it helps my baby sleep more then I am all for it! haha
My second baby is almost 4 months old and I'd say my must haves are a really good swaddle blanket, a baby carrier and white noise from my phone. 👌🏼 I didn't use ANY big ticket items this time around and it worked out really well and I had waaaaaaay less baby clutter which makes me happy. However now that she's getting bigger we are needing more gear. It was nice while it lasted. 👌🏼

My baby boy was born at 31 weeks in June, he's nearly 4 months old and we got the Owlet once we were discharged from the hospital...thank goodness we got it because he had 2 episodes just a few days ago! His heart rate went down so I had to pat his butt & wake him up a little to get his pulse back in normal range. It was so scary!!! I'm so glad we got the Owlet 🙏

My 4 month old is literally sleeping in the Dock a tot for the first time tonight! Excited to see if it keeps him in place and sleeping instead of playing.

+Radiokitten haha I don't think you're being mean! Literally every baby product has a suffocation warning on it! You just have to use your best judgment and the owlet helps too!
Not every baby has gas pains and is super gassy. If that's the case, he may also be allergic to something that's in your breastmilk, or formula if you use formula.
I’ve heard so many good things about the dock a tot but I’m scared it is dangerous. All the research I’ve done says it is unsafe to let babies sleep in them because of suffocation 😥 I’m torn! I couldn’t live with myself if something ever happened to my baby.
