None of last summers signing were "bad signings" - all are top players, and will show it over the next few years. Barnes injury so freak they couldn't find a medical precedent; Tonali speaks for itself; Hall needs a run and Tino's already class.
A really heart warming moment missed Keith. Early on Bowen went down the right, beat Burn but Burn got back & put in a perfectly timed tackle. He punched the air with delight & the Gallowgate cheered & clapped him. Could see the confidence flood into his face. The lad really cares. 👍
Couldn't make the match due to food poisoning had to watch at home put it this way when Barnes scored the equaliser I lost me voice and shit me self at the same time 💩💩
@@robferriday9945 the game before last when he came on I was so embarrassed for him, he was so bad. I actually thought Eddie might demote him for the performance he put out 😭🤣
I don’t think there is much choice. Lascelles and Botman out means Burn has to play in the centre so hall on the left and Tino on the right if not injured.
Eddie howe is the right manager for Newcastle United for what he's had to put up with he didn't ask for all these injuries I saw a depleted team fight for Eddie howe and the fans love him I do anyhoo cmon the TOON
not at all - I'm someone who doesn't want to ruin young lads careers, I think Mourinho or Rafa would build a team that wouldn't be over trained and weak, and would still challenge for Europe and cups. More likely than Howe if anything. it's the other way round? if you want entertainment get a hobby. I want to watch us build a monster and win stuff.
@@leechefski winning shits fun? competing with the best is fun? champions league runs...FA cup runs..? 4-3 vs West Ham with a destroyed squad is weird fun...
@@eddouglasThe board want to play attacking football so I doubt they’d bring in Mourinho or Rafa as they play a more conservative style. They’ve spent a lot of money on players who can play high intensity pressing football. I’m sure some can adapt to whatever style Mourinho would play but not all would, that’ll mean selling some players we’ve only just signed and building a squad for Mourinho. If Howe does get sacked he’ll be replaced with a manager with a similar mentality and style so the transfers we’ve already made and the transfers were working on will still be needed.
@@andrewcharlton6080 dya not think we'd have gone for Mour or Rafa if they were available? Or Ancelotti or something? Been a bigger statement. And I think any player can play high press, some are better than others. Just a question of training mostly, and whether the player's willing. I think we got the best manager we could for the squad we had, and if we can get a better manager who cares? Howe deserves backing as he got but it's football - we hav another season with the same injury list and players like Maxi leaving not wanting to risk injury - he's gone and it wouldn't be mental if we went or Mourinho. If Howe can make us a pressing team after Bruce - Mourinho can make the same team pretty much wiley and hard to beat every week.
Hall is good enough to start and I hope all of the bellends that were slagging Barnes off are eating humble pie now great video Keith as always brother
Controversial take, but I actually think Gordon missing the Everton game is the best case scenario. The one pooor game Gordon had this season was at Everton, and I think it was because he was trying 'too hard'. Let him rest, get Barnes in for the game, and he's back after the Everton game good to go.
Gordon’s second yellow was ridiculous. The ref was facing the other way so it looked like he went off what the West Ham players said to him. He passed it to the keeper rather than the defender and ran off. He didn’t look while he was doing it cause he was wanted to run back into position!
Great win but another 3 goals conceded at home. So happy for Hall, Barnes and Anderson, they changed the game. Need to build on this by beating Everton and those three starting.
Yep good report today ! Always felt we could score but always felt we could concede. Changes forced or otherwise and suddenly The Toon were alive and once we got the second penalty there was only one outcome. Got to patch them up and go again Tuesday HWTL 👍
Great channel Keith, especially considering the good lady always likes to see you when I play it 😂, but a bit harsh saying summer signings were poor as nobody could predict Tonalis gambling issues or Barnes’s freak injury. Tino is a great signing and maybe Hall is the only one with a question mark against him but we certainly don’t know the thinking about not playing him with all our injuries this season 🤷♂️ Either way we showed great fighting spirit to win that game so we go again against the toffees
I don't know what the issue with Hall has been but today has SURELY earned him Howe's trust, finally! A ludicrous game- from despondent to euphoria. Everything was seemingly going wrong. Also, I really don't understand the "Controversy" about the pen decisions- how can they NOT be penalties?
Great video keith, lewis hall and Anderson have to start against everton. Lewis hall was very impressive. Gets forward alot more than krafth ot burn. Bad decision to bring on krafth , got away with it, but at least he corrected it.
Think people are being far too harsh on Phillips …never a penalty! .. our subs changed the game ..along with the good luck of the pen and the positivity it created in the stadium ..definitely would still have Phillips ! Great player having a career changing experience…
Totally agree he is a good player just lacking match fitness and confidence a good preseason and good run of games under his belt he be back to his best
It's worrying that Howe made that mistake in bringing on Kraft. It was blatantly obvious what he should have done. Setting up with Longstaff and Burn at left back over and over again is also worrying. We have players like Anderson and Hall chomping at the bit to play, yet Howe sticking with his favourites time and time again. He's not above criticism. I really hope he learns from this game and shows some faith in the sqaud moving forward.
If Eddie doesn't start next game with what finished here today he definitely deserves a warning from pif .... The youngsters he spent Millions on have proven he has enough to drop those who are not cutting it ... The art of rotation
@@mikem9309 same here! But, that win has just rejuvenated the whole squad and broadened Eddie's mind set! He needed that to actually trust the youngsters he spent millions on
@@Cristobal_2012 shut up you wolly ... I'm just praying Eddie starts playing the players that won us the game... I've supported the toon 36 years I can say wtf I want
Just remember howe didn't originally want hall and barnes on the pitch. The original subs were Miggy and Kraft. Question marks hang over eddie but shill journalists will sing his praises. Longstaff continues to con a living as a footballer.
Mourinho wouldn't over train the players into having weak joints and muscles, and he'd probably quietly win trophies... and draw big players... and build a squad that challenges for the league AND champions league with a blank cheque book... if you want entertainment get a hobby. I want to watch us win an build, not be all over the place and have most players in the ICU.
@@jonathanlongworth4590 about as blank as you can get - no one in football has a complete blank cheque book with FFP. But once we build a squad of Minteh's and Miley's, get the long contract deadwood out, then yeah he can buy who he wants up to our max, could be 105, could have grown and be 150 a year, could have the rules changed and it be 175 mill a year which is plenty. 2 years of that and no ones going to question his choices? He'd build a monster.
