@@Lazy......I think a quality one for cover incase of schar being injured, it’s still quality that was required considering our defensive record however I believe allot of that was due to Dubravka and some silly mistakes
I’m looking forward to seeing how our 3rd choice striker forms with regular subbed appearances… and glad we have Wilson still on as 2nd backup (not worth selling now)
This would be absolutely incredible if we could get this through. Would show to every one of our players that this project has ambitions for the top, and sometimes the immaterial aspect is the most important
Surprises left and right as the window moves. Always interesting to see the rumors become reality for good or ill. If we got Guehi over the line, how quickly would Eddie field him do you think Rob? I really think Wilson is a red herring at this point. It's an enigma what will be done with him, but he continually pops up in speculation. What I want to see clarity on is Trippier. Seems like he's one foot out the door all the time. Looking forward to seeing Tonali back in action as well. I hope all this turmoil he has endured will ignite in him a drive to ascend and succeed. As for our front line woes... Who can say? I think we will make a signing on the wing, but it will be a surprise out of nowhere. Anxious for the season to come. Let's go boys HWTL
No problem with that. I do feel we can sign a CB equally as good for cheaper or better in the case of Diomande for a few more mil. But i do rate Guehi.
I agree. Things went quiet on Isak a couple of years back, then out of nowhere he was here having his medical. Wouldn’t surprise me if Thiaw shows up in the toon in the next week or so.
Good bit of business for me. Hopefully more in the kitty for a RW. Wonder if any loan moves are possible for obligation to buy later (like with Hall last season)?
i do like Guehi but £65m but Toni Siva may be a younger, cheaper option with a huge ceiling of improvement- i'd be looking to get Mbuemo for right wing the other thing us thenew 3rd choice striker - tbh he'll be 2nd choice for mist of season with Wilson confined to treatment table - Osula may prove to be a hit but i've never seen him play so i cant comment on him with any surety but €15 for a striker isnt a massive risk
With Schar,s contract ending next summer (2025) I can very much see this happening. Although I wouldn't rule out Schar leaving this summer either if this happens.
I feel like if we are going to get a RW we'll get one around deadline day. We still have Murphy and Miggy and even though there was talk of Miggy leaving there's been no movement. It just seems like we'll need to sell to buy for a RW
I don't think of Osula as 3rd choice striker. Actually, I dislike the whole 1st choice, 2nd choice etc anyway, but can you say Osula is 3rd choice when he will almost certainly play more minutes and score more goals than Wilson this coming season?
£65m is good value… bake in 20% from Chelsea and you can understand the inflated price of £70-75m but is high-end in today’s market … but I’d put up rather than shut up. And a 1st team RW! We can always PL proven international for £30m … Fraser 👀
Love to sign him but we still need a real top class RW if we don’t sign a top RW player we will struggle this season no matter how good our defense is , miggy is useless he needs sold along with other deadwood players, we’ve got squad players who start and some aren’t even good enough to be a squad player at this level ,
Scoring goals wasn’t a problem for us last season. Keeping a clean sheet was. I agree that we really need a good RW aswell but I think getting someone in at CB is more of a priority currently.
@@bendavidjohn I don’t know who Eddie wants as a right winger, doesn’t matter who I’d like it’s what he wants I like the Chelsea player can’t spell his name , but 60+ million with add on or 70 million doesn’t leave a lot for a RW I’d rather have chow for 35-40 and a RW chow is a good player and that would benefit the whole team, rather than just the defense, if we can run down both wings and score both side we will be unstoppable with a better defense, sell some of are goalies lol with miggy and trip and others to get our team up to scratch, Kelly can play left or right ,
Maybe we are trying to bluff AC Milan that we are willing to pass on Thiaw to pay for more expensive targets. I imagine if we agreed a fee with Gueye, another big club would match it and offer better personal terms
I’m really disappointed with the teams we are playing this preseason. Other top teams play other top teams, but we play bottom teams (except for Girona) and foreign lower ranked leagues. I hope we are not going to be off pace in the beginning of the season.
We. need a right winger and a striker of note. one 6 week injury to Isak and our season is finished ,, Wilson is good but a sick note waiting to happen he can't string three games in a row..if no Isak for a couple of month we have no chance of winning the premier and little chance of top 4 . a decent proven striker is the main position to fill or we are fkd. Who's that twat that used to play for Arsenal. Oliver something ? French? he's got a large proboscis.
even ssn saying this deal will take us close to ffs because palace want 50m up front so a player will more then likely be sold so hopefully trippier and with us having to put 50m up front unless we sell almiron wilson longstaff or dubraka we won't be buying a right winger
Bro how many times does it have to be explained psr problems were sorted on June 30th when we sold minteh and Anderson were on a new 3 year rolling now psr isn’t an issue
Minutes ago on Sky Sports reports of this being close are 'premature' Just get it done. Stop pissing about and open the door for others to whack their bids in
Also not too sure what you mean by ah and then we’re left with Murphy again, he’s been absolutely class pre season one of the most underrated players in the Prem and you’ll see it this year
