whats to gain from pretending something no one cares about. who cares if he is sat in a shed or a multi story house. youre here to listen not judge where hes recording
The difference being united and snapdragon aren't owned by the same person are they ?, United and Adidas aren't owned by the same person Eva are they ?
My mate plays golf with a barrister, and he has been told the reason City have taken the Premier League to court over this is because it’s actually against English Law putting these rules in place. My mate isn’t a lawyer and neither am I, but I’d believe a barrister I guess. We really should have backed City in this fight.
Well eales said before or during japan tour that we had training sponsorships but the prem hadnt approved them and wouldnt until after the window and that had been one of the reasons we had to sell players….its not set up for fairness its to protect top 6
The way we’ve done business is absolutely the right way to go about it, it’s how I hoped we would spend I really hope we don’t do a Chelsea and spend spend spend just because we can🙏
The rule made no sense because it’s impossible to measure. NUFC sponsorship in Saudi became 10x more valuable when taken over cause of who they are owned by! You can’t compare it to other clubs to get the fair market value! It’s like saying Newcastle should sell the same amount of shirts in South Korea when spirs have Son, and if they don’t spurs are up to something. The other thing is would someone else pay that value for that sponsorship! Clearly not or they would be the winning bidder. Imagine selling your house on a silent auction but the winning bidder pays what the second highest bidder cause that must be the fair value! I want to cry at how stupid it is!
People cry about pay to win, but Id like to see clubs catch up with ffp, its basically impossible. you need that big kickstart to keep up with the Likes of Liverpool, Man United and Arsenal
Rob did you see your picture on tnt sports the other night? When the advert for game last night i think for man city vs newcastle came on. Pic of man city player and ur pic for newcastle!
What a day😊. Floodgates are opening. But we gotta get on it, won't be long before they close it again. But I can tell you how we fit in. If city are bringing a lawsuit for damages, we gotta get paid. Also, we sign them deals ASAP
Bob Fleming vibes in the shed 😂 fingers crossed this report is true and we can get a front of training shirt sponsor that allows us to flex our muscles in the transfer market in January
I'm fairly sure all sponsorships for every club has to be passed by the pl, apt or not, either way, if we have gained any extra wiggle room it's good news, I doubt it's a free for all, but great news regardless
Lets call a spade a spade here... I think everyone needs to look at how UEFA's FMV works, that already involves independently assessed valuations from a list of UEFA approved audit firms. The PL(or the cartel) apparently didn't think this was restrictive enough(or IMO open enough to manipulation) because they proposed instead of several, one firm(Nielsen) should get to dictate what a club shirt deal etc is worth. There are apparently some other possible arguments about them wanting to restrict bonus clauses for things you win too which I wont get into because not enough has been written about that. So two things. 1) The 'PL clubs are concerned that this will allow clubs to set their own values' or 'what City are doing could end football' type scaremongering the UK sports media are allowing from the PR departments of certain clubs, are invalid concerns because UEFA's FMV has not been challenged. 2) Ask yourself which method seems the fairest and which would be easiest to control. If they truly want these valuations to stay independent.
It's roobenshed has this all actually been confirmed or is it a case of it might happen. Hope it does might help even up the playing field a little until the prem change rules again to hamper the toon.
It's restraint of trade pure and simple. Would not be tolerated in any other industry or survive a legal challenge in a court of law. Premier League seem to have delusions of grandeur. Get back in your box. Now let's get cracking on the transfer front. The January window will be rather more busy than this summer.
This cannot become a thing! we all know Newcastle wanted to have that huge Spend from the Saudis, and If City are allowed to run roughshod over the rest of the premier League, as far as Spending what they like, then their 130 charges wouldn't be hanging over their heads
Walked past st James pk ,near the Trent yesterday.looked at St James Park.the the old bird looks shagged,an eye sore.time to put her out of her misery and build a new stadium.Time to move on 80,000 minimum capacity.
Yep that's what normally happens. If the changes were unlawful, they will be told why they are unlawful. Then they will try again, with a better idea on what the legal limits are on these restrictions that the cartel clubs are demanding. They'll put the new rule changes to a vote again, at a PL meeting further down the road. Then clubs will probably suck up to the cartel again in support of it like sheep because they never seem to learn who their real enemies are. Or they vote out of spite/envy from a position of have not. Which could change, Villa, Newcastle and Everton learned the hard way. Why being short sighted can be a mistake. City, Newcastle, Villa, Leicester, Everton, Forest could and probably will be a lot more careful about what rules they support going forward but that's not enough to outweigh a majority. It seems clubs only wake up to the bigger picture, once they've been burned themselves.
Tired of the PL making it up as they go along I'd like to see questions asked of the PL why Man Utd were allowed such a huge loss during COVID compared to other clubs. It's time that they were on the backfoot for a change
surely is CIty win the case there is good reason to sue the premier league for past deals etc? I think several clubs would be taking action for lost revenue due to controlled sponsorship values... Anyway.... Our owners need to grow some ball and splash the cash in January.... lets hope Everton and Forrest take action against the premier league..
Because it's extremely embarrassing and damaging towards the Premier League and shows corruption, may even prove how the red cartel and Spurs have been involved in such rules 🤔
Name me what Club dosent have rich owners. Man United and Liverpool and Spurs did not spend much different to City in the last 10 years. Now Forrest and Villa Wolves and Palace also Leicester have very wealthy owners so why do you need FFP and PSR.
Wouldn't the Premier League prefer to have the best players in the world within it's league? Wouldn't they prefer the likes of Jude Bellingham and the next Messi and Ronaldo's be their poster boys when they sell their rights and TV sales? Time to take off the shackles on this one - the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Spurs (even Arsenal) are now dinosaurs: You can't stop the Toon Meteor!
We will be laughing when we confirm these countless sponsors (especially from Saudi) will be getting in weeks to come, this super necessary for revenue so we can spend like Chelsea 😂
Roob is... a.cold, b thirsty, c.hammered, lol Jus think what we could win if we could spend our way to the top. I said years ago to Chelsea fans you're only winning cos of yer money when Chelsea were only a second tier yoyo club now look at their silver cabinet. Are Newcatle the next City, the next Liverpool the next Real? Yeh just wait, can't wait.
