Villa Fan here, Very impressed with Newcastle Today. You guys look like genuine Top 6 contenders. Like how Eddie Howe is building your team gradually. Seem to have great team spirit. Saint- Maximin what a player he is. The transformation of Joe Linton is amazing. As a football fan its good to see the good times back at St. James Park.
Your definitely right and I love seeing my my home team do well, I would love ti see them in Europe and challenging for a cup this season like the Capital One Cup or the FA Cup, if they keep playing like this and Newcastle bring in a few more recruitments, perhaps Lucas Paqueta and a new right attack midfielder/ right winger then they’re looking a solid foundation to build on, good times are coming! 😁💪🏻✊🏻
I had a sneaky feeling Forest were gonna give us a tough test today, but the whole team from minute one but in a top performance & fully deserved the win.
I thought the same. They defended quite well I thought considering we were all over them. A wonder strike and lovely flick what gif us the points. Preseason looks like it’s done it job because we look sharp, hungry and fit for once 😭
@@vforvendetta211 contained, tight spaces and 5 at the back. It was gonna be hard to break them down anyway. They played like how we did before Howe lol however We we’re class so nothing away from the toon
@@BobbyFlay14 Should have been 5/6-0. Joelinton, ASM, Wilson, Willock and that Almoron all missed chances. So many balls in the box and no finish. We need that ruthless quality upfront. Yeah we are playing super but against stronger opposition and with that kind of finishing , we will be found out.
Im literally in tears at what our club has become, the buzz we all have with each other before during and after the games is just unreal, from heads down walking into the stadium in the ashley era, to everyones ya best mate leaving now, its just unreal man. So happy my nephew is growing up with these owners at the helm, he has no clue bless him
@@andrewgreen5892 no mate im talking about every genocide each nation is guilty of even yours, and to a much larger scale might i add, what the saudis have ever done is spare change to what we have done lets be honest. No you doylem im talking about the football, get a grip
@@andrewgreen5892 You mean like UK hav had colonies in: Australia, Barbados, Jamaica, Bahamas, New Zealand, Guyana, Hongkong, Egypt, Nigeria, Singapore, Sudan, Sri Lanka, Rhodesia, Honduras, Sierre Leone, Fiji, Kenya, Tobago, Salamon isle, Gambia, Swasiland, Afghanistan, Botswana, Uganda, Guinea... You Sir dont get to point fingers..
Been following Newcastle since the 90's. And the way Howe is building this team, i think we can be a top 4 contender in the next few years. He has implemented a winner attitude in the players that i haven't seen since KK and BR im buzzing. Toon army always. From a Danish fan.
Forest fan here. Spent the last 24 hours hoping that the outcome of this game was a result of the fact that Newcastle are a great side who will be competing for European places this season, rather than the fact that we’re WAY below the level we need to be to survive this season. Always had a soft spot for Newcastle since I was a kid, in the days of Shearer, Robert, Bernard, Speed and Given - so it’s been great seeing all the love and well wishes towards our reds from the Newcastle fans. Genuinely hope you lot are right up there this season, you deserve it. And fingers crossed we can get up to speed and get all the new players gelling sooner rather than later!
I think the occasion got to your lads. Not too sure why, but the St James Park factor in combination with it being the first game back in the premier league a plausible reason perhaps. I noticed a lot of them seemed quite indecisive and statuesque - especially when they allowed Schar all that time to line up a shot. Nobody seemed in any rush to challenge or prevent. I reckon we'll see a different side to Forest next time around for sure. It is nice to see such a historic club back in the prem where they belong.
I am not even from UK, still being rather old Newcastle fan, i am very glad that a club with a history like the forest is up again in the big league! hopefully we will make it this year finally back to Europe, and hopefully as well the Forest is here to stay for years to come
As I see it, Newcastle won on brutal sheer will, they have a lots of improvement to do, and I'm sure they will. Its like watching a rough diamond getting shaped. Equally happy Newcastle wasn't relegated as I'm because Forrest back on track. Must have been some tough years of dreaming. Believe and hope and wish you're gonna stay for long now. Classic club. Btw, tnx for Spence. Spurs fan.
Trippier is the Field Marshall, now we just need someone alongside Wilson who has the Shearer killer instinct on goal. Best and fittest I've seen the team in many years.
Bruh Joelinton looking like Pogba fr. Who knew he is such a talented midfielder. I'm glad for the lad as well he was getting so much criticism but now slowly but surely coming into his own. All the best Joelinton 👌
Shortly before Schar scored, Lingard was closing in, closing in on him and then....... gave up. Newcastle and West Ham dodged a bullet with that one. £200,000 a week is stupid money for that guy
What a brilliant day, and a fantastic performance. I returned to SJP for this game as a season ticket holder after a number of seasons away. The atmosphere floored me. Genuinely. Its been been years since I've seen SJP rock like that.
Please have a look at the Brazilian wonderkid from Santos FC….Marcos Leonardo 🇧🇷 ⚽️. His a baller, young, stocky and a rapid forward and adds that Brazilian samba and flavor to our already Brazilian team.
Great team performance yesterday. Good to see burn and Schaar playing together, Botman needs to earn his place just like Bruno did. Excellent management. Miggy needs to be more confident but looks a much better player, maybe need to thank Grealish😅😅😅 Keeping Wilson and Schaar fit is going to be key this season, top 6 if we can 🤞🤞🤞🤞
Shouting for Willock to shoot from 40 yards out when we have 5 attacking players moving around in the box, Willock decides to play a slide rule forward ball into miggy the correct decision from a talented footballer and creates an even better attack, wonder why John never went into management....Lee Ryder is John's love child 🤣
Although nottingham was not very well, newcastle's organized performance is growing up successionally. When Eddie was in Bournemouth, I anticipated how good his ablitiy is and he prove it more than I thought in newcastle
Certain people slagging Miggy off . He played well played a major part in creating several chances… it’s a team game too many people looking to replacing players. This is a great team, no body is in need of replacing, just enjoy the win
A great team performance. I thought everyone was good today. Poor Almiron, though… I think he needs to work on some healthy game psychology. He’s got what it takes to score; we saw that in pre-season. He could easily have had 2 or even 3 goals today. At least one where he was right in front of goal anyway. Good luck to him. I’m praying for his renaissance under Howe. He could be the next Joelinton.
Miggy is getting closer & closer to scoring. I think he gets to soak in this match. Apart from missing 2 shots, he did well in going forward, really links up well with Bruno
@@vincineratev9183 Yeah - I don’t mean to criticise him, because he clearly cares and he’s doing his best. I just hope he gets some more positivity in his game
@@vforvendetta211 no shit Sherlock. But while he's still playing for us, appreciate it he's much better than before. The fact he's playing you can sit here all day & moan about getting a 5star replacement. Be patient about transfers
He fucked up so many chances because he only uses his left foot. If we get another winger in that’s good with both feet we would have converted a lot more chances.
The fog in Dubai is all mine all mine. Newcastle looked very well organised by Howe. I'm sure the Geordie fans are buzzing right now. Irrespective of anyone's opinions on the owners , the Geordie fans deserve success , good luck to them
Bruno, Joelinton, asm, the whole defence, Wilson's finish and movement, absolutely fucking brilliant. Almiron needs to shoot though. I say it time and again but Bruno and Joelinton would scare the shit out of any team in the league
If you discount the number of opportunities missed by his selfishness, it surely has to make his opportunities created stats look pretty abysmal. I'd hope he has a few good games, flog him in January and sign ourselves an actual team player- he's given us some amazing off your feet moments, but from Wilson and Willock's reaction this is something that's been irritating the squad for longer than just today.
Come on, ASM is a changed man, look at his game, the amount of passes around. He doesn't take on every players now. Not 100% but it's evident he's on the right path. Gets involved in the goals.
Eddie Howe is definitely one of the best coaches in world football. Look what he has done to these players man, a team the media had written off as trash
Missed whole lot of much easier chances and scored two where much wasn't expected.. Schar has scored really good long distance goals for us.. Hope more will come
This why I love being a Newcastle united fan seriously completely different to how we was under Bruce no more taking 15 games to get our first win . Completely controlled it from start to finish .
As a Forest fan I just jhope we faced a top 6 club (in Newcastle), with our players taking deep new air (premier league). 2 - 0 it s good result for us. The game was the one who give me worries, BUT next game against WHU at home should give us a another hint about our potential on long term.
I fully believe that this team can go from strength to strength. Pass and move to receive or create options. It's not difficult really unless your name is Bruce. Let's hope winning becomes a habit, even if my spellchecker wants to call it a hobbit. Which makes me wonder if oversized hairy feet would be an advantage or hindrance playing football? After 5 bottles of Broon Dog these things are important!
With the talent and enthusiasm the current players of Toon Army display here..there is no need to add more..just let these players shine week in week out. C'mon Mr Howe you got a good team going here.
As a Man United fan am a very worried man seeing how other teams are prepared with serious players in their teams.. watched Spurs and they look good..we are in for a very emotionally demaging season 🙆🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️😅
