Fair to say the falcons are cutting their cloth accordingly, but if there is any relegation next season they are fucked

You've got to wonder why Newcastle are in the Premiership when they only win once in a while.

Crossing call is very harsh, committed tackle to dummy runner wouldnt have touched radwan, and line is into space not defender

So a no arms, late, pushed off field to sustain serious head injury is just a yellow but an accidental clash of heads would be a straight red. Nothing to see here folks, rules are fine!

its weird i think they have to take the consequence out of the decision though. obviously he was not intending to put him head first into the signs

@@oscargiles1541It is just emblematic of the problems with how games are ruled currently where preventing damage to the head isn't the point of the rules being enforced but to protect the money of the investors from lawsuits. It is transparent and why the game is currently in a very rough place.

Because in one case the responsibility is on the tackler to prevent head contact and in the other case it's a player falling into the advertising boarding - unlucky. Also, accidental doesn't work with head clashes. Intent has NO bearing on the the head contact process because you can't measure intent objectively. As soon as intent is measured by a referee watching a video, it becomes subjective and then you fans will be complaining about subjective refereeing, cheating and match fixing. The laws on head contacts have been in place for three years. Players need to tackle lower. Incidentally, low tackles promote offloads which result in a faster game and more tries.
@Grumpy_Hobbit
@Grumpy_Hobbit 6 месяцев назад
@@nickjames3055Why are you giving one of those examples intent and not the other? Isn't it the responsibility for the defender to prevent head contact in both? You are giving one of them intent and then go on to argue why intent cannot be assigned which is insulting...and subjective right? Why are there unsafe signs around the pitch so close that a player can be pushed into one? Are they there for safety or money? If safety really was the point wouldn't any head clash, no matter what receive the same adjudication? Why are there subjective rules about an apparently objective action? ANY head contact including a high tackle resulting in head contact or being pushed off the field illegally into advertising boards resulting in head contact is bad right? It is bad enough for these rules to be adversely affecting the game but heartbreaking to see the rules being defended when there is clearly a disconnect between reality and the intended consequences of the rules.

@@Grumpy_Hobbit Well surely they would be equally willing to punish Radwan's "tackle" to prevent a legal case so I don't think that is logical. I think it is unfair on Radwan that he would bear the consequences that the hoardings etc were too close, he could not reasonably have been expected to know that.

Why don’t referees enforce the offside law against a player blocking the attack on the scrum half when kicking from the ruck? The blocker needs to stand BEHIND the back feet of the last player not in front.

Union rules need changing/enforcing to make it a better game. Bring back relegation. And poach the Welsh sides from the URC.
@jakeclough8090

What so they drag our game down more 😂 Welsh teams are less profitable than English ones, they’ll add so little to tv deals and sponsorship they’ll just take more away from premiership clubs money than they add
@mysteryhombre81
@mysteryhombre81 6 месяцев назад
@@jakeclough8090 I dissagree. 2 of the sides (Newport and Llanelli) would end up in the championship. Swansea and Cardiff would be in the prem. thus creating loads more local derby matches (Bristol, Gloucester, bath etc.) and more travelling fans. fuller stadiums and increased supporter passion due to the English and Welsh rivalry as well as more excitement due to the relegation / promotion in the new 2 tiered system. Most welsh fans simple do not buy into the international rival aspect of the URC. They are better off adding an 4 team Iberian shield then two Georgian and other geographically close teams (Romania, Israel?) to balance the numbers.
@jakeclough8090
@jakeclough8090 6 месяцев назад
@@mysteryhombre81 you can disagree all you like but you’re wrong. It’s definitely the right thing to do for the Welsh clubs because they would rather play premiership teams I think and they care about the local derbies with southwest England, but for the premiership the addition of Welsh sides is only going to be detrimental. You won’t win any new premiership fans in England and Welsh fans aren’t very supportive of clubs side right now and rugby is on the decline there. Instead of adding the 4 Welsh teams into the English system, I’d much rather add teams from the likes of Leeds, Coventry, Nottingham, Birmingham, Manchester, or re add wasps, Worcester and London irish. These teams would bring a lot more value to the premiership and rugby as a whole in England than adding Welsh teams would. Also I don’t think the other urc teams particularly care about playing any Iberian or Georgian teams
