Was never lucky enough to own the record but I did get my parents to buy me the tape. Which, over the course of a year, I managed to wear out and snap. ;) Good times.
Word up....i like that comment...definetly said hello to me as well...im 50 and this new music will never compare to the original old school hip hop!!!! Classic and priceless....nuff said💪💪💪💪💪💪
That intro screams breakdance----pause---then break----pause-----then break. Untouchable. I started to DJ in 1984 while in the 9th Grade at my High School, memories forever.
This track will still be great in 2030. Fantastic TB-303 sequence, fabulous SH-101 bassline and an incredible TR-808 rhythm. The version with the raps, I don't quite dig that, it sounds too dated. Wicky-wicky-wicky-wicky. Not my style. Props to Joe & Frank. And produced in the most valuable year for music, 1984.
I'm suprised that out of all the 80s nostalgia like Synthwave, Chiptune and Vaporwave, there's no revival of this kind of sound yet because I feel like this still holds up today, heck even timeless (save for the goofy rapping)
Epic electro track from Newcleus with an SH-101, TB-303 and TR-808. A true proto-techno track along with tracks from Egyptian Lover and the roots of it all, Clear from Cybotron.
Those days are the best. Got a crew together, ready for battle. Going to Glasgow . Plaza ballroom, 84, 85 and ending in July 86. We are b boys. Never stopped. Get on down and peace. Respect to . Paul, Auldy, George Caldwell.

Now back in the day of electronic music in the 80's remember when Alleys of your mind came out, well there was another song that had such a crazy electronic beat and I can't remember the song for nothing. All I can remember is maybe it had the name Gumball and it had a sound in it that sounded like that old green hand held football game everybody had back then. My brain is about to melt trying to remember the name of that song. If it hit a nerve and you know it hit me on here and tell me the name....thanks in advance.................GRIM.
Hello Grim! I don't recall a song called Gumball, but I do remember a 1987, song called "Spaceball" by the Spinners, from the movie "Spaceball". Don't know if this is it or helps your memory.
@@eugeniajackson3533 Thank you but that's not it. It had a electronic sound like the songs Quadrant Six was making and it had the sound effect in it of this electronic football game www.etsy.com/listing/1034793563/vintage-1978-mattel-electronics-handheld?gpla=1&gao=1&&
@@eugeniajackson3533 The closest thing I can find to it is Reggie Griffin & Technofunk Murda Rock not because it sounds the same but the way they use that football game sound in the beat. You know what's crazy, I did this with another song I had been trying to find for 5 years and after awhile I was saying maybe my mind just made it up. And one day I was looking for another song and the 5 year song just pop up... I was like..."THAT'S THE SONG, I'M NOT CRAZY!!!"....lmao... taught me to never doubt myself again... it's out there.....somewhere over the rainbow...lol
I know the feeling, that's me! I won't stop! Is that sound just computer like sounds or is it a song? I was told they sampled "Supertramp - The Logical Song", lol!
