That was really cool. I am interested in the B7, but I haven't grabbed one cause I don't race. I may have to remedy that. I do have a B6 I can take to the nearest track. Back in the days of the transition from B4 to B5, I heard Jason Snyder say in one of his vids that his friends were telling him not to try and make the B5 handle like his B4. They were different cars basically. I reckon that might be something to consider when starting out with a new buggy.

I know the B7 is the latest and greatest, but there's still absolutely nothing wrong with the B6.4 or even the B6.1 through .3 for club racing. In fact I'd wager that a slightly upgradead B6.4 could easily be a better vehicle than a box stock B7. I will probably keep running my B6.4 until the parts are gone.

There is a lot of magic to be had in the radio and speed control setting when you're racing 1/10 scale buggy. As much as you're wowed by that fast servo, with 1/10 scale racing that often leads to a twitchy, hard to drive car. A lot of pros like to turn down the servo speed using their radios around 10-15%. Give it a try. I've never liked KO Propo servos cause they're just TOO fast! The best 1/10 servos in my opinion are the Protek, Reedy, and Savox. Plenty fast, tons of torque and holding power, and is very durable. I always go for a servo with about 0.10 transit time. The ones that are rated 0.08 like KO & Xpert are just too fast for me. And have the fast guy check out your speed controller setting. There are a lot of adjustments you can make to the ESC that will improve the drivability quite noticeably. The ESC's are designed for a wide range of applications. We use the same ESC for dirt off road as we do for max grip sedan racing. So obviously, you'd want way different parameters for such different traction levels and speeds. The Hobbywing ESC is capable of being adjusted to suit each class perfectly, but it takes a lot of tuning knowledge. You can also pull up a pro racer baseline setups for carpet 1/10 offroad on the hobbywing website or app.
