after giving us the ethereal masterpiece that is cool with you, newjeans have done it again with this bop. unlike cool with you which focuses on hyein and danielle, ETA instead focuses on minji, hanni and haerin. all the members are glowing for this comeback especially hyein, who is in my humble opinion, is definitely her era. she shines so brightly showing us all her of abilities for this comeback.💜💜💜 i would rate: 1. cool with you 2. super shy 3. new jeans 4. ETA 5. get up (higher if only it's longer) 6. ASAP
“Get up” is for setting alarm. Can’t you see it ? It’s for waking you up in the morning 😂 Meet them in 5 if they matter to you And this song is perfect for looping as an alarm in the morning
ASAP in the album is also very short so I've no clue how that's gonna be the title track 🤣 but Get Up was such a crime cause I was SO excited for it only to see it's a few seconds rather than a full song. That song is GOOOORGEOUS and I hope we get justice for it 😭😭😭
ETA is reminiscent of Paula Abdul and Janet Jackson. The kind of pop/hip hop of the 90's used those very thin synth drum pads and artificial horn noises. I know it'll take a minute to warm up for some people but for me it's an immediate banger. The only banger on the album in fact (because the rest are bops) (Also they better gives us full length Get Up as a pre-release next album. Or I will riot).
