Finally, NewJeans! They are kinda low-key in terms of music in comparison to other 4th gen groups that's why they are super popular among general public, like super popular.

The message of this music video is that everyone is alive in an illusion and illusion, so let's respect it. Hani, the first member to appear, thinks she is the iPhone, Shiri. If you change one letter on your iPhone, you become an idol. Idols are confused because they have to run when you call them and they have to sing the song they want to hear. After the ending credits, New Jeans Minji takes the haters, thinking they are mental patients.

What i've heard and what makes the most sense to me is that this MV is a continuation of Ditto where it talks about the parasocial relationship between idols and fans. OMG shows NewJeans in a mental hospital where they talk about how they don't know who they are anymore which is why they keep changing throughout the mv. Their identity keeps changing because like in the beginning where Hanni thinks she was an IPhone and how she exists for us is because shes "trying as an idol to become anything for her fans" and they don't know who they are anymore which is why they keep changing identies. Hanni thinks shes an Iphone, Minji thinks shes the doctor of NewJeans (which is why she was also a patient), Haerin thinks shes a cat, Hyein thinks shes in a bunch of fairytales, and Danielle thinks she is an idol and that they are NewJeans and tries to convince them, like when she says that they are shooting a mv and at the end when she says they're NewJeans. I'm not really sure about the other things she does in the mv but that's what I think for Danielle. I hope this made sense, and sorry if it was a bit repetitive lol.

I'm a year late so wont go in full detail but as i havent seen the correct explanation in the comments i'll leave it here.... its about the pressures toxic fans and the industry put on young idols and how they lose their true selves whilst becoming a slave to the fans and industry.. they basically become what the fans portray them as and lose thier true real identities

Have you watch Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022) starred Michelle Yeoh who nominated for Oscar with this movie recently? This MV is adopting the same idea where New Jeans have access to their alternate version across the vast multiverse including their own MVs universe, our universe and etc. However in OMG universe, they just look like having identity disorder issue hence they are put in mental facility having theraphy session for that reason.
