NewJeans Being Asked Rude Questions & Getting Body Shamed?! NOT ON OUR WATCH! 

Unfortunately, when you get a lot of love, the hate comes too. Which is really sad that people feel the need to hate, especially these girls. Love their fresh sound!

I honestly hope NewJeans will get all the support they get. Even if they're a new group, they're songs are amazing and they're all so kind. I'm devastated that a group with minors in it is getting all this hate. But sadly it's not just NewJeans. I've seen other groups (with or without minors) getting equally as much hate. NewJeans worked hard to make they're way up their status right now, and they all proved to us that they deserve they're placement right now. I hope NewJeans will continue to build their fanbase, and get all the support they need. I love them so much, and I'm honestly proud to be a Bunnie.

This is why I'm concerned for the nwjs members, and every kid in the kpop industry. Facing such animosity so young is horrible, I worry for their mental health and I want them to be as protect as possible. I know most of the people bodyshaming nwjs are also mostly underage, but if you're an adult doing it that's really embarrassing.

As Minors . I think it's our responsibility as K-pop stans to protect them at all costs.

their company is definitely not paying to increase sales. i’ve seen sooo many people on social media who didn’t previously like k-pop love new jeans’ songs and even learned the dances to their songs. their music is just so good and is popular among non-k-pop fans too. i think people just can’t imagine that a young, new girl group could be so talented and wide-reaching. the hate is unacceptable, honestly 🤷🏽‍♀️

I'm super scared for NewJeans. It's really hard to come out with great song after great song and so when, inevitably, they release a song that's less than fans expect, they're going to get a lot of hate and people are going to claim they are falling off. Lots of people say this group or that group is the new BlackPink and part of me doesn't want these girls to reach that level of fame because I've seen how toxic Blinks are and how much hate the members of big global groups get for doing literally anything. They have such a young, innocent, carefree vibe and I want Bunnies to preserve that as much as possible, not let it be spoiled by the industry and the internet. edit: I think it's hilarious how I went 'Bunnies, please don't become as hateful as Blinks' and then some people went to the comments and did the exact opposite.

People are just hating on these girls. Since their debut, I've heard their songs all over Korean television. Key and Yoo JaeSuk and many others openly said they love New Jeans. Twice absolutely loves these girls. You can't buy that. They have been loved and adored by the world for their music and concepts.

Their music is so good and addictive. I can't believe people would hate on these girls for no reason. They are so talented and beautiful. I hope they don't feel down by this hate and keep making good music. Haters need to get a life

I am a blink and I LOVE NewJeans. I fell in love with their music instantly. Their concept is so new and unique. They are literally a breath of fresh air in Kpop. Honestly, I expected other fandoms to hate on them once they started blowing up and getting all these achievements. What's worse is they are just kids. Netizens can sometimes be so hypocrites. First they make such a big fuss about debuting young idols because of all the things they will have to face and then they themselves send hate to them. Let's just hope the members do not take it very hard and they are getting regular counselling. Can't wait to see what more they will achieve in the future.

ditto really turned the tide for non kpop fans. it and all the other songs in njs discography are genuinely just good songs people not interested in kpop/njs r into. hence why it may seem like their popularity doesnt seem to match their fanbase. Its no different than how some songs are huge hits but many people may not care to get into the artist

It's been legally proven now that HYBE and MuBank didn't collude to help Le Sserafim win over the other artist. They didn't just suddenly change the rules to benefit LS. There is an argument to be made that the rules themselves are crooked, but there wasn't direct manipulation of the numbers.

With love come hate. They are definitely loved so, unfortunately, the hate comes also. They may not have a steady fandom yet but they have something most groups would LOVE to have & that's to be beloved by the general public. EVERYONE was listening to them. Even my son likes them & he claims to hate Kpop. The only thing "weird" thing that I had personally noticed was on spotify- they stayed my daughter's most-listened to artist & it'd been, at least, 3 wks since she listened to them...But I think thats a monthly thing so it may not have changed yet.

I'm so proud of Newjeans, and Danielle wrote Attention lyrics and Hanni wrote Hybe Boy lurics and Newjeans is well treated by Ador the CEO is Min Hee Jin who was so critized by occidental fans but Min Hee Jin is so recognized by her work in SM, yes they are under Hybe but Hybe CEO is BigHit agency

Newjeans just have really good coherent songs, it's that simple. They are easy to listen to on loop, as background music while studying and for singing along. Personally, they were my most listened artist on spotify in 2022 🤷‍♀️

Even though they are young, they've all worked hard since 2020 to actually debut. Minji and Hanni are turning into adults this year. Hyein has been part of Pocket TV since she was little, and was even a child model, actor, and idol. The song 'Cookie' is literally about cookies and cds, and it's the fans' fault for assuming there is an underlined meaning. It isn't NJWNS' fault that the idol industry has been overly sexualized or that some fans are just dirty minded. I'm korean, and I listen to Cookie without any thought - it's actually really, really cute and the girls are very talented and pretty. All the hate they get is unnecessary. And the fact that they've surpassed BTS and BP is something they've done by themselves. Blinks, Armies, and all those haters out there gotta realize that BTS and BP don't have to be the top of everything, and that some groups WILL break (some) of the records one day. And the "they don't even have foreign fans" thing is because...it might be shocking to some.....but k-pop is made in SOUTH KOREA. Not USA. Not the Philippines. Not Africa. It's obvious that if a popular k-pop group debuted, they'll get a lot of attention from Korea, because that's where their music is from. Thanks for listening to my rant. been listening to kpop since boa's time. i would say new jeans' songs captured my attention and i've been a fan since their first song. it's so rare for me to have a group that i like from the start and still liking them. doubt it's payola. and people who just hate on their bodies... they should get a life and reflect on themselves.

I think Cookie is just a marketing strategy. She plays on the grey area of innuendo. If you think it has a darker meaning, then it's on you. We say it this way, you think it's this way. It's a pretty good move on her part tbh.

As a Westerner, I definitely have a problem with Cookie; however, I place both any misunderstanding and fault squarely on the shoulders of HYBE and Ador. There is NO WAY that a big, successful Korean agency did not know of the possible ambiguity that Cookie would cause. I think that Newjeans will continue to be well received and popular. And that they will become a major Kpop group. It's a shame that they have to be victims of a possibly unscrupulous agency and the ever present stupid hateful netizens.

Despite having only 6 tracks, many fans even just casual listeners listen to their music. That just prove how good their songs are. NewJeans being the most unique and different among today's kpop has put them at the TOP of 4th gen rn. All of their songs are banger and addictive, has that nostalgic vibe that people love, and their choreography being different, they are trendsetter artists, even other kpop artists love them. They are like the modern GIRLS' GENERATION (SNSD). NEWJEANS IS THE EPITOME OF Y2K, IT IS THEIR IDENTITY. IT IS NOT JUST THEIR CONCEPT ONLY BUT IT IS WHAT DEFINES THEM. The thing about newjeans is that they organically got their views since debut since NO ONE KNEW WHO THEY ARE AND WHAT THEY OFFER. the songs keep coming and got a lot of curious listeners in all streaming platforms, I'm guilty too cause I have a playlist of their song in spotify on repeat along with LSF and RV and IVE and etc. Ador or HYBE don't need to pay that much to them since their debut is a success along with their other singles, seriously their songs are all good this is crazy.

This is the problem with having international fans and translations that don't include the cultural context. For instance, the nickname of Ricky Martin when he was in Menudo is a vulgar term in some languages for the part foreign fans considered cookie to mean for New Jeans. There is symbolism differences. When Bleach was released in America there was confusion about a certain part of Kurosaki Ichigo's zanpakuto in its bankai state. Looking at another culture through one's own culture can be helpful to find common ground but it also can create misunderstandings.

I am not Korean and yet I am waiting for the tour. Their songs are catchy and they dance well. They are not sexualized because they are teenagers. I am enjoying their wholesome stage.

I heard Hype Boy and Attention fairly quickly after it came out due to it being a trend or sound on Tik-Tok, I thought the song sounded like a good song and kept New Jeans on my radar but then I heard Ditto and became obessed with the song. I work 8 hour jobs where I just listen to music and work and the last two days I worked I put Ditto on repeat for 8 hours straight. I never got board of it and since it has a repeating pattern to the song, it ends and starts the same, it was easy for me concertrate on it but not at the same time.
