NewJeans OVERTAKES BLACKPINK in Spotify Listeners 

This is partly also because of bp losing alot of their spotify monthly listeners like ive been looking at them closely this past week, bp is losing like ~100k per day, and nj is climbing ~50k per day. Still a huge win for nj they have a bright future ahead

Competition is good for fans, maybe now YG will decide to change their strategy and release more music. But it is insane that NJ has overtaken BP on Spotify which is mostly used in the West where BP has spent most of their time promoting in the last couple months.

This is what happen when artists are no longer passionate about music.Anyway,newjeans is so good.theu deserve it.

BP never losed their monthly listeners, they are still the most followed female group on Spotify but they losed their monthly listeners because it's been 5 months since their last comeback. While NJ, they climbed high because they are the most Korean followers in Spotify. They only surpassed BP in Korean Spotify. NJ have the highest monthly listeners since Korean people like their songs that help them climbed up

I know this LITERALLY just happened, and NewJeans is only 100,000 up from BLACKPINK but it's something I've been paying close attention to! Just had to point it out as soon as possible.

BP is still #1 girl group periodt but newjeans will or at least we hope they will become K-pop leaders they are only starting and the question now is will they maintain their fame that is the hardest part you know and with baby monster coming out it’s gonna be challenging especially when yg is trying to transfer blinks to babymosters fandom by having the girls directly promote them. They did the same with 21 they replaced them with BP when their time was almost over that’s what they’ve always done. I hope they don’t make baby monster copies of blackpink and try something new especially when the girl crush concept is so overused in the K-pop industry it might of been innovative when BP debuted but not anymore but anyways my girllssss newjeans I hope their fandom is strong enough to stay with themm even if new possible gg leaders debut

It's obvious that BP never release new song recently.7 years they have only 35 to 40 songs but nj releasing new songs monthly like bts ,bts have 260+ songs. Listeners like to listen new music day by Day that's why this happened. This is only korean Spotify There is no way nj Surpass BP or bts Global Spotify. But wish them
