@@dalegreenaway He was NOT “convicted.” You can’t be convicted in a civil case. He lost a suit he brought against a newspaper due to a judge, who had ties to said paper, deciding the case. Arguably, the judge was biased and should have recused himself.

I tried blaming it being a different system than in the states but the eating when testifying is the epitome of disrespectful Turds skills as an actor were subpar at best. She acted like eating was a new thing to come up with her lies. That judge is abhorrent and should be investigated. Too many politically appointed judges are dispensing the opposite of justice and innocent people suffer the consequences

I'm conflicted. I loved JD's portrayal of captain Jack Sparrow. He was brilliant in that role. His quirkiness, quick quips, one liners, funny behavioural patterns made the role iconic. But at the same time I think that Disney is trying to save face by trying to rehire and work with JD in another instalment of POTC. When the article was published in WaPo by AH alleging JD as a wife beater, Disney should've waited for due process to be competed and then take action. But they jumped the gun and fired JD from his role. But never say never but if JD works with Disney they need to issue a formal APOLOGY to JD and he should ask 8 to 10 times the salary he got before

I'm not conflicted at all, just disappointed in Disney. I decided that I would not support Disney again... No movie, theme park or merch etc. because of the way they treated Depp. However, if Depp does another Disney film, it would be advantageous for him as well as Disney and I'll reverse that decision.

I don't think Depp should return to Pirates. I like Depp, and I like Jack Sparrow, but Disney betrayed him, Depp stated he'd never return, so if he suddenly returns then that just undermines all of that. Like betrayals can just be forgotten and forgiven because a company winks at you while waving money under your nose. Disney is so desperate for money that they'll probably hound him till they wear him down.

I don't think it automatically undermines everything. Although, I can respect why you would see it that way, and maybe JD does too. I think certain conditions ought to be met according to what suits JD. Ultimately, I agree that the betrayal runs deep and Disney should lay in the bed they made for themselves. I only want Johnny to do whatever he wants for himself and I don't think he has to explain himself to me or to anyone. There are many ways to understand a person and I think he's experienced enough people finding fault with him. I choose to support him as a fan and not as someone who has a stake in his personal life, while recognizing that his career decisions impact said personal life. So, I will support what he decides to do with his work.

I think Amber was so jealous of Johnny that she tried to set him up. From "Rum Diary" on she was okay, but once they got married she used every opportunity that came along to make Johnny look bad. Only 15 months married? She was so jealous she tried to destroy him, his career and his bank account. I also think she never really loved him. I think she used him to further her own career and when that didn't happen she decided to ruin him. I'm so glad it backfired. Johnny, you're very important to us and we hope you stop long enough to enjoy your rewards. But you are Captain Jack Sparrow and there is no "Pirates" without you. Elon, you can have her! I do agree with you. I do not believe she ever really loved him. One of the biggest things that convinced me of that was when he asked her to get clean and sober with him. And she said flat out NO! She'd rather keep drinking and doing drugs but wanted him to get clean and sober. How is that helpful for him if she's around doing all the things that she wanted him to stop doing. She certainly can't cry when her role calls for that kind of thing. But, Johnny, he can he pulls it from some place deep inside of him. And he can be emotional and cry. I just watched the movie The Professor and he can. I won't ruin it for you if you haven't seen it. But, even in Alice And Wonderland and Alice Through The Looking Glass. Johnny Depp has a Huge Heart and it's evident. Just like it was evident that A.H. was lying 🤥.

I have loved Johnny from the very beginning. He's only about 5 years older than me. And, I've never, not even once, lost faith in him. Seriously, if he had been that type of man, we would have heard SOMETHING about it a LONG TIME AGO. Abusers tend to start young. I KNOW this from personal experience. They don't wait until they're in their 50's. And, Hollywood isn't really good about keeping those kinds of secrets anymore. I also relate to him on a deeper level as my family is full of crazy, screwed-up people. My own mother is also a major Narsssisst and she doesn't have even an ounce of empathy in her whole body. ( I, however, have enough empathy that it could literally go around the entire planet 4 or 5 times. I wear my heart on my sleeve, and according to others..."I care too much". I would rather be the way I am, and cry for the world than be a person who thinks only of themselves.)) Example: Unfortunately, my last car was totaled by my last BF shortly before he took off 11 years ago. ( I haven't even been on a date since then, but I'm okay with that--it's not like I have a choice...lol.) And I live in the middle of BFE! So, if I need to do anything, like going grocery shopping, I have to beg my mother for a ride and hope like hell that she'll take me. She's my only real neighbor. And she's still doing her damnedest to control everything she possibly can. I must be adopted because there is no way I'm related to these people. I could probably write a best-selling book about my life. But, watching Johnny having to relive the darkest, hardest times of his life...knowing that his own mother hurt him, and then that bitch trying her best to ruin him...man, that broke my heart. And, if I could take that pain away from him and make it so that he would never be reminded of those who hurt hiim again, I would.

Well, as it seems, Amber Heard was not only not cut off from Aquaman but it seems to be that her role was extended from 10 minutes to 25 minutes. I just saw that on Facebook but can't assure that. Amber's 25 minutes in Aquaman 2 showing was only a rough cut and not a final version. The movie has been pushed back to next year (Shazam 2 has been moved up to the end of this year).

King Louis will be a great fit...JD speaks fluent French from his time with his 2 children's French Mum. Beetlejuice will be EPIC but POTC would be wonderful but not holding my breath for JD to agree to it...but we can hope. (Although Disney does NOT deserve JD after dumping him before trial outcome.)

I think that in addition to a proper pay check, should JD choose to return to Jack Sparrow, Disney should not profit from the movie(donating its cut of profits past covering the production to charities), it should give JD full leeway with Jack Sparrows lines and behaviors(build the movie around JD like was done with Jack Black and Kung Fu Panda), and issue a proper public apology to JD and his fanbase for the atrocity Disney commited.

I would love to see JD in a new Beetlejuice film! It doesn't matter what character he plays, it would be awesome with him in it. I respect whatever decisions JD makes regarding POTC. It's not for me or anyone to say what is best for him. So, whether he chooses to decline rebooting his role as CJS or goes ahead with it, I will support him all the way. I want him to have whatever truly makes him happy, as I am sure we all do. Go Johnny!

I hope some other company will buy the whole Pirates trademark and start a new film without Disney's involvement. That'll be the best way to bring JD back to the film.

Yeah that's not happening. Disney owes it for life its from the original owners stories when it was sold I believe they signed a agreement to not do things he wished but they will latch on to others but they will never let's ones like potc go.

I think he will as well. He likes challenging roles. They call him a great character actor. He is a genius at becoming the character/role. Like a chameleon. The term “character actor” is normally used for an actor that played the same character in every role they they play. For example, Jack Elam Always playing a humorous sidekick in westerns. He played the same character in every movie he made. I enjoyed and appreciated him but he played the exact character in every movie he was in. Johnny becomes his role and each role is wildly different. That is a great Actor. He treats every role different. To do that you have to be a chameleon. Not just one role (or a pretty face) over and over again. There are many actors who basically plays the same type/character throughout their career. Except for Pirates, he never repeats a role. Another great actor is Kevin Kline. I could not believe it was the same actor! Yet I knew the Screen Actors Guild allows one name. (Stewart Granger original name was James Stewart. Jimmy Stewart was already a member so he had to use a different name). Kevin Kline played Payden in Silverado. Sophie’s Choice, A fish Called Wanda, and one of my favorites, Calendar man? He became each role. I would have sworn they weren’t the same actor. He becomes the role, not the character he repeats over and over again.
