My dads gonna die of with within a week probably. 3 weeks ago he had blood work that showed high liver enzymes and then CT scan showed the tumor. Crazy how fast he went downhill after that

I am so very sorry. My father was just diagnosed June 1st and it isn't looking good. He presented with jaundice and pain in his upper right torso end of May. He is hesitant to start chemo. I am still in shock. Praying for your family.

I am so sorry for your loss. My father just passed away last week from this type of cancer at the age of 64. 7 weeks after diagnosis and he was jaundice as well. I hope and pray for healing for your family.

I am very story. I was diagnosed Mar 1, had chemo and lots of infections (plus a hematoma the size of a brick of butter) and half way through chemo (again major delays between rounds 1 and 2 and 3) it started growing. By Oct 30 it was growing and Nov 2 I was told I am out of the transplant protocol. The location is in the "Y" and it is growing into the liver towards my back. Chemo didn't bother me much and I've managed to put on weight in spite of chemo. Since Oct I haven't had anything done. I was placed in care of the oncology team and it's now palliative care. It's concerning because the EUS and Spyglass didn't yield confirmation of malignancy and yet they hope to treat it with chemo. I honestly don't know what to expect, beyond metastasis to another organ. But if that doesn't happen and my stents keep holding up.. I hate unknowns. I want to know what to expect so I can plan to tell my kids. Tell them too soon and you make them worry and they will see you for months or years (in some cases). The unknowns are the issue. I'm having anxiety and all the oncology folks say is "it's different for everyone" and I'm at the best in Canada for cancer. I hope your sister's suffering is minimal and I am very sorry for your pain and suffering. Thank you for sharing and I am sorry I am complaining here. I don't want to upset my family on my last (most likely following statistics) visit to see them. I dread telling the kids. I have so much I want for them, improvements that I somehow didn't teach them before I managed to get sick. That's what bothers me the most ahead of the unknowns, not being able to go in peace because I know my kids and wife will have struggles and it's my fault for not catching these and fixing these problems sooner! Again sorry for making this about me, it shouldn't be. I need to get ahold of my counsellor from the cancer agency. I want to be strong and help my family (wife, kids, parents, siblings, cousins etc..) through this. I am not afraid for me, though I like knowing what lays ahead. I am afraid for them all. I am afraid of them feeling sad and them struggling. That isn't fair for them! I should take on that burden myself. I really hope you find peace and your sister finds peace.

@@robertchanrussell2010 your story broke me. My mom was just diagnosed with this yesterday and I am so scared and shocked. You sound like a wonderful person worrying about your family over yourself. As a child of someone going through this I want you to know that they will never ever forget you and you will be with them forever and ever and if they are sad and stressed it will pass and it is only evidence of how much you mean to them and how much love you brought into their worlds. My mom keeps telling us she is sorry for putting us thru this and how guilty she feels. Please please know that is not something we think About or feel. It is not your fault. You would be there for us if the tables were turned. I hope you have found some remission and I send you and your family my love and support.

@@tonis.4002 Thank you. It turns out between August and October, my tumour grew but has been stable since October. Very strange according to my oncologist. I am still trying to get my family in a great place. I want them to thrive not survive. I'm feeling well, cycling even sometimes, lots of walking too. My attitude is to make fun out of things, to laugh at my problems rather than feel down about them. I appreciate your words. My mom said something similar to me when I told her I didn't want her to see me fade away. She was NOT happy. She said "and if it was your child? You'd want to be there wouldn't you?" and that look of "you butthead" was loud and clear. I'm still pushing to keep healthy. No treatments since October. Just tests to see if they could still transplant. I am just really lucky! VERY lucky. Or I am getting my time required to get my family strong and thriving. Mothers can be smart, she said "You are not dying until you get your family where you want them? Plan on living to 150 do you?" And she's right. They will survive but again, I want to keep trying and keep working with them. I see improvements which is great. They are fine without me but I'd prefer they are happy and doing great. I want my family (all of them) to be laughing when they remember me. I want smiles! Hang in there for your mom. Each person's struggle is different. Lean on one another. I had to do that sometimes with my wife. It actually helps her too, helps her feel important, just like when she leans on me. Amazing how this disease teaches me to appreciate little things like birds and to learn to lean on people sometimes.

When you say noisy stomach, what exactly do you mean? Please elaborate. I'm suspecting that my husband may have bile duct cancer.

It was so shocking to have my wife diagnosed of colon cancer and some researches said it is caused by smoking and she has never smoked all her life, this gave us so much concerns and the most saddest part of it was that there is no known cure for it. My dad just got the diagnosis today. He seems to have multiple cancers. Half of his right kidney just got removed last monday. Now they said he has stage 4 klatskin and tumor board is tomorrow... As soon as he get‘s home I will also start treating him with alpha lipolic acid and low dose naltrexone, which I picked up by a friend. Also aspirin might help him fight this battle. He felt and still feels absolutely fine, I noticed s jaindice 3 weeks ago snd told him to get his blood tested. We are all devastated. He is 62.

How did the Bilirubin come down ? Did they drain it ?

@@universe_24 my dad has two stents in his bile duct, that’s how his bilirubin levels are normal again... for now

@@christophm7203 yeah !!we also followed the same procedure for my dad and as of now his bilirubin levels are normal but the stents are still there for drainage.. He is getting chemotherapy treatment.. The tumor has shrunk far more than before he received treatment..his health conditions is normal... Hope everything will be fine and get better!!!

Hi, have you received some answer about your dilated bile duct after the procedure?

I also have an enlarged bile duct..there wanting to remove my bile duct iv already had my gall bladder taken out...they say I have no cancer at this time but if I don't remove my bile duct it can be cancerous

@@nidakrukauskiene3217 Yes. The procedure was easy. I went to sleep, woke up. 30 minutes. They took a biopsy of my lymph tissue in that area. Results were in as negative for cancer😃. 😌😮‍💨 Thank GOODNESS!!! My lymph nodes were swollen after the biopsy, which is expected. Especially the nodes the back of my head, behind my ears, and my throat area. Lumps all over my scalp. Painful and sensitive to touch. All those side effects lasted about 2-3 weeks, slowly subsided. Look into getting yourself a high quality all natural anti inflammatory shampoo to use for a week to a month after your endoscopy (ERCP) procedure. Or ask your provider. My provider who did the procedure is impossible to get ahold of over the phone. It would have been nice knowing all this going in. Hopefully you’ll read this before your procedure, if you’re having ERCP or know anyone having endoscopy with biopsy.

My bile duct was dialated so Dr sent me for MRI and results were possible malignant stircture. Try and ask your Dr for an MRI

Can you please tell me all of his symptoms from the start? I'm suspecting my husband has bile duct cancer.

My mom was diagnosed with this type of cancer. She lived six months after diagnosis. Her presenting symptoms were jaundice and weight loss.

@@abundance3148 I’m sorry for your loss. My husband didn’t have many symptoms. He had, what the he called, “ flutterings”, in his upper abdomen. He was never very sick, until the last 3 weeks of his life. His bilirubin rates were normal until that last month. It’s a horrible cancer, it sneaks in quietly andy then destroys you. He died at 61.

@@deborahruthbarlow1695 Apologies I missed your questions and then they stopped. He wasn’t jaundiced until his last few weeks. He had very few symptoms. He described it as a “fluttering” in his upper abdomen. He said it wasn’t really pain, more just feeling a uncomfortable for a few minutes, very short, 4-5 minutes. He wasn’t jaundiced until the last few weeks. He didn’t have a lot of pain, even at the end. He just felt really uncomfortable,again in the last month.
