It takes a lot of guts to teach in America. Different culture and higher cost of living. But looking at the situation of teachers in the Philippines, there’s no reason to discourage them. It’s a matter of choosing the better opportunity.

I don' twant to discourage you but you need an enormous amount of patience, perseverance and motivation teaching in America from students that are really unruly, good luck! and congratulations!

You have to earn their respect. It is not automatically given to you because of your position. Once you get their respect you know it’s genuine and not fake

*$40,000 ANNUALLY SEEMS TOO MUCH IF WE IN THE PHILIPPINES WILL THINK ABOUT IT. BUT THE THING IS, THE COST OF LIVING IN THE US IS TOO HIGH! THEY'LL GET $3,333.33 MONTHLY AND A SMALL APARTMENT ITSELF COSTS AROUND $2,000 MONTHLY. GAS, FOOD, WATER AND ELECTRIC. STILL, GOOD LUCK! SPECIALLY STUDENTS IN THE US ARE HARD TO HANDLE. YOU CAN'T DISCIPLINE THEM AS MUCH AS YOU DO IN PH*

Teaching in the USA is not for the weak. If you’re weak and you want to teach there then become strong. You have to earn students respect, it’s not automatically given to you because of your title.

Yeah but teaching in PH is not like teaching in the US, especially nowadays. In PH and most Asian countries, teachers are respected by families and students. In The US… not so much.

I didn't know there was a teacher shortage in Las Vegas. I hope they are not taking jobs away from Americans, surely The Philippines would never allow foreigners to displace Philippine workers.
