[Newly Refurbished July 2022] Pirates Of The Caribbean Full Ride - Front Row Lowlight POV Disneyland 

Am I the only one who could smell this video? This ride always had a very distinct smell that brings back good memories.

Thank you. In the olden days (1970's) we'd run to go to our favorite rides first. First would be the mules, then Pirates, then Haunted Mansion. Then we'd do them all again. I was just a kid of 35, but I enjoyed the heck out of it. Not likely I'll get there again, so thank you for taking us along on this video ride.

Last time I went to Disneyland was in December 2007 when tickets were around $80, and POTC was always my favorite ride. I absolutely love your Disneyland Live videos, it’s relaxing and my 3 year old loves it as well. God willing we’ll take him and his sister to Disney this year, I’m prepping him by showing your videos! NEW SUBSCRIBER ❤

Always wished I could get to Disneyland since I was about 6 in 1961. Oh well, I vicariously enjoyed this experience! I watched the first two Pirates of the Caribbean movies. I always though Jack Sparrow was a hoot!

That looks really good. That ending with Jack Sparrow seems a little weird though. Other than that it looks pretty similar to how it was 40 years ago when I saw it.

The last time I saw POTC was in the 80s. This update seems slower paced and less frenetic than the original.

I loved the Haunted Mansion. It was blazing hot in Fla. and when a kid threw up on my sister’s leg when the ghosts came out she used her spray bottle filled with water with battery powered fan on it to clean her leg, never missing a beat. That’s all I remember about that.

It seems to be more well lit? I remember from 2004 to 2010. Same with haunted mansion. I need night vision goggles. Haha magic key holder. I just bought this on vinyl. Love it. It contains the orginal scenes.

Where are the fireflies in the beginning?

I personally have not been on this ride in 20years...not sure what changes have been made since but looks pretty similar to when the 1st Pirates movie came out

Sucks we had to go back to the Bay just five days before this masterpiece of a ride reopened so thank you Steve for this video. Also, thank god they didn’t remove Captain Sparrow when they were refurbishing

Awesome, but when I went last week, this ride was way darker. Maybe your camera settings made it look so bright

Pirates and the Haunted house were my favorites as a kid. Adventure through inner space and Mr. toads wild ride were always on our list as kids and running around on Tom Sawer Island. The earliest I can remember being at Disneyland was 1973-74

They got rid of the skeleton that was drinking the bottle and you could see the wine drink going through its bones

Pirates and haunted mansion are still my favorite rides to go to everytime I'm at Disneyland

Well done! Pirates of the Caribbean is my favorite Disneyland ride, and it's gotten much better over the years. This video is by far the closest thing to actually being there.

I went to Disney land almost 55 years ago and I still remember this ride. I loved it! Though, as an adult I find the repeated "upbeat" version of the song, especially during the darker parts a bit annoying.

The bayou scene at the beginning is much too light from what I remember. It used to be much more dark and ominous, like it was nightime, which made it easier to see the fireflies. The buildings on fire at the end of the ride seem like glowing projections of fires, in contrast to where it used to look like actual flames coming out of windows. Why change it? Sometimes too much technology screws things up. Everything is too bright which takes away the erieness of the ride. I like my old Pirates better.

I remember as a little one back around 1974, the disappointment that the top of that lift hill was the end of the ride, and not another drop.

This ride is so calming and peaceful after doing a fast ride except for that little jump.

Makes you wish Disney was still affordable for middle class

Thank you for posting that video. I just don’t understand the theme at the beginning of the ride especially that cabin with the man sitting outside! It looks like they couldn’t figure out what to put in the beginning of the ride. I love Pirates of the Caribbean I’m glad they kept the original ride towards the end.

Love this version of Pirates. Always so much better than WDW version, biggest thing is longer. More scenes in this. I like this inside line setup with it open to the outside instead of going in and down. They could have done the same at WDW if they didn't go down with the entrance line.

I absolutely love this ride and it is my favorite by far. Stunning animatronic scenes, beautiful caves, lights and even the scent of the water. Not to mention that it's just a calming ride with the two drops mixed in.

I went on these rides in Florida in 1975. Great childhood memories.

I grew up 15 minutes away from Disneyland and used to go all the time when it was $20 to get in and not totally overcrowded. Not anymore. This ride was a classic and it hasn’t changed much over the years which is good

I’ve been going to Disneyland since they opened and there never was, nor ever will be, a better ride than The Pirates of the Caribbean!! Absolutely incredible!

I remember riding the pirates ride in the 60s so different but still my favorite ride.

The real magic is the wonder in the look of the young ones next to you.

I always have deep thoughts when I go on this ride.

I guess I'm going to be the oddball, but I am absolutely not impressed at all. This has been my favorite ride since the first time I ever went. This did not give me any nostalgia at all and it is actually quite disappointing to see all of the extra nonsense in it. Don't get me wrong, it looks great and kudos to the people who updated everything for their talent, but I really wish I'd never watched this bc it's not at all what made this ride so special to me. Great job filming and showing everything in depth and clearly!

The original ride was so much better. Disney ef's up everything. They probably screwed up the Blue Bayou restaurant, too.

I'm happy they kept Captain Jack Sparrow, I was highly suspecting them to use this refurb as an excuse to get rid of him with everything that has happened.

It was better before they redid it…more animatronics, pirates, etc and Jack Sparrow….the pirate chasing the maiden….much more!

I think the camera makes it look much brighter than it actual is, correct? Which is cool for us to see detail, not cool if the ride is now really that bright..

Is there really any tangible difference? It appears more lit but the phone definitely is ever so slightly over exposed. It looks like Jack Sparrow STILL doesn't move his lips at the end >.

After getting back from WDW and watching this, I can undeniably say this version is so much better.

I could smell it! You know, the funky, stale car AC smell? Now I’m 11 years old again!

The camera lighting setting is too bright. I can see everything. Even things we're Not meant to see while riding. There's Got to be a happy medium between too bright like this and far too dark.

Wow, the original is version is soooo much better than Disney Worlds!!!!! Need to go in person some day!!!!

What is a shit. The old pirates of the Caribbean used to be far better. The changes that make are for the worst

I'm so glad they got rid of the Davey Jones projection in the mist leading up to the ship battle scene. I'm also glad they brought back X. Atencio's original narration about the treasure being cursed. The last time I rode this was in September 2019 and I can't remember if those changes were there too; I do remember the octopus though!

What did they change? Looks the same to me, but I have only ridden it once in the last 20 years.

Pirates of the Caribbean was my most favorite ride of all times. One year when I went there the ride broke down right before one of the overpass Bridges in there and we were stuck there for over a half an hour and I loved it.❤️

Get rid of Jack sparrow! Show me your starboard side!!!! 70'S CREW!!!! SAD!!! One of the most emersive rides in the world. Sucumd to woke BS!!! Sure glad I got to experience it in the 70's and 80's.
