I actually bought the candle that’s supposed to smell like the ride. It doesn’t quite capture it, I think standing water smell is hard to reproduce 🤣🙏🏻
OMG i just realized, but I feel like every attraction ( unless the ones outdoors oviously) has a perfect temperature, they are all cooled or heated depending on the Temperature outside
The fascinating thing about this audio is all the bits that are instantly recognizable, yet the video is way longer than the actual ride (similar to the Haunted Mansion soundtrack elsewhere on this channel). I imagine that the various parts must play in a loop as the boat passes by each scene with some kind of transition to tie them into a seamless audio track. As a ride passenger, you never really get to hear the entire performance. Marvelous!
I was playing Battlefield 1 yesterday, and I swear I could smell the trenches, as well as the fires around me....I think it has to do with how sunken in with the material we are focusing on. We begin to immerse ourselves into it.
I've heard something about sensory memory like for example pulling up a picture of crayons on your phone and you can experience the smell of crayons because you know it so well already :) Pretty dang cool :)
Who’d have thought, 20 some odd yrs ago, Pirates of the Caribbean-an attraction that had been all but marginalized and overlooked-would be revived by the film 🎞️ franchise!!! They say, after POTC: Curse of the Black Pearl came out, popularity for this “adventure” increased by AT LEAST 40%☠️🏴☠️🖤🤍🩶🏴☠️☠️ Personally, I could partake a voyage on this attraction 3X a day, EVERYDAY for the rest of my life (being a 27 yr old trapped in a 54 yr young body…😁💚💛💙), and NEVER get bored OR tired of it… Now if y’all will excuse, kindly please 🙏, this waxing nostalgia has THIS Ol pirate 🏴☠️ (USMC, Ret.) hearing the Call of the Assassins Order to go play ACIV: Black Flag 🏴☠️ ☠️🖤🤍🩶☠️🏴☠️ Peace ☮️ and Love 💗 out…
I bought the magic candle oil called “pirate life” smells just like the water and the market with some fresh, sweet arome of fruits. Listening to this, eyes closed and the difusor with the oil, man, it takes you right to the little boat
This is seriously the only video I could find that has the intro to the queue overture. I'm not sure why every video skips that part, it sets the tone for the entire theme!
oh my what have i got myself into, next thing i know itll be 4am in the morning and ill still be up watching disneyland vlogs or something crying to myself because im not there
Completely agreed! That's the point that I tried to get across in my mix, "A Dream Called Disneyland": no matter how many years pass, or prices raise, or attractions are closed, Disneyland will always be Disneyland, a place for children and adults alike. -VJ
@@WML95 see I wish I could agree. And it is magical!! But, what's sad is locals like myself cant afford to go due to how high the prices are, so we miss out on the magic!
48 people disliked this video 48 people dislike true art 48 people don’t know what their thinking 48 people hate Disneyland 48 people are just not cool
5:50 is an absolutely fantastic part when the french horn, flute, and ambient sounds really just make you feel like you're in the dark dankness of a cave. Disney is absolutely masterful at mixing, control of the ambiance, and my one of my favorite things, the smell.
Johnny Depp sounds like he gives zero fucks in this rendition. Compared to the other superb voice acting in the ride (and even his own work in past projects, POTC included) his voice sounds like a angsty 15 year old giving an oral presentation on the history of taxes.
"oral presentation on the history of taxes" had me cracking up! It's still so true though, and you bring up a great point; as much as I love the 2006 additions (and as a huge, HUGE fan of the Pirates franchise), Johnny's voice acting left a lot to be desired especially compared to other Pirates projects (like POTC: The Legend of Jack Sparrow) as you mentioned. Thanks for reaching out! -VJ
Cast: Paul Frees as the Auctioneer (1967-2018), Disembodied Ghost June Foray as Carlos' wife Thurl Ravenscroft as Singing pirates, singing dog J. Pat O'Malley as Hook-Handed Pirate, Additional voices Xavier Atencio as The Jolly Roger, Additional voices Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow (2006-Present) Geoffrey Rush as Hector Barbossa (2006-Present) Bill Nighy as Davy Jones (2006-2018) Ian McShane as Blackbeard (2011-2013) Dee Bradley Baker as Parrot Corey Burton as Pooped Pirate (post-1997 vedrsions)
Story time! I was once on this ride with a friend who it was their first time going to Disney and told him that there’s two normal drops at the beginning and one REALLY BIG drop at the end (which is a big ‘ol lie) and told him that there was this weird unspoken rule that on that “last drop” no one screamed. So we got to the end and we were climbing the hill and this guy was *bracing himself* he was so scared that we were gonna drop and have a huge collision at the end. Luckily he didn’t hold a grudge and took the joke well but I ended up feeling really bad XD
Omg at Disney they have a candle that smells like the ride I brought it like a year ago now I'm in my bed with my V r and it feels and looks like and smells like I'm on the ride
I still don’t know why they have to remove the redhead scene. We can have pirates destroying a town, alcohol and villainy but not women being sold off? People who go on this attraction know that pirates are like this and NOBODY complained. But if they must change the scene a little bit then why not add the red head right at the end of the attraction and keep the auction scene. Add her to the scene when the pirates shoot canons at each other. She could be tough now with a gun and all of the pirates are shocked, asking her to help them fight against one another. She went from a scared women being sold off to now a tough pirate with some serious skills. The pirates would ask her how the heck she got out of that auction. It would not only provide humor but also mirror Elizabeth swan from the films. Going from a scared women to a tough pirate leader. I think that would be a very good message to women in a soft way. Never give up to be who you are and stay strong. Fight for yourself.
I mean they did basically what you said they would, just without the pirates wanting her. It’s nice, and it ties into the painting you see in the skeleton cove of her.
*"Psst! Avast there! It be too late to alter course matey's, and there be plundering pirates lurking in every cove, waiting to board. Sit closer together, and keep your ruddy hands inboard. That be the best way to repell boarders, and mark well me word's lads, DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES. You come seeking adventure in salty ol pirates eh? Sure you've come to the proper place. But keep a weather eye open mates, and hold on tight, with both hands if you please. There be squalls ahead, and Davy Jones waiting for them what don't obey."*
all through being stuck at home I've been listening to this, its gotten to the point I memorized every line and when each line is said. going insane? no. not at all.
This makes me so happy omg But it also makes me miss Disneyland even more. I really shouldn't be listening to Disneyland audio while doing homework omg
This is fantastic! I was looking for a high quality Disneyland PotC 2006 attraction mix. This fills the bill. Now if only someone would create a WDW version. Thanks, WML95.
This is the ride our family designates as the first ride when we enter the park. One of the older rides that get you feeling the Disney magic with the thrill and excitement. One of my favorites and my favorite audio. Thank you for sharing.
Also I’m not trying to be sexist at all in fact I’m all for gender inclusion but realistically it was seen as bad luck to bring a woman on board a ship
o think there's something wrong with the video. This IS Pirates of the Caribbean right? so, why don't I smell sny Clorox? all joking aside GREAT video!
Just came from Disneyland this past holiday weekend. The water doesn't smell like scurvy & chlorine anymore. *"Something's in the water"* Also, the bird was gone from the front. 😢
How is the audio on this so incredible?! I am sitting here typing up a newsletter for my business and totally forgot where I was for a sec. This is insane!
This attraction is amazing not only because of the delightful script, but the wonderful craftsmanship throughout is terrific! The scenes are perfect! The ambiance created is flawless! And of course the soundtrack created by musicians, voice actors, sound effects wizards and a host of other extremely talented folks is a joy to listen to. I think Pirates of the Caribbean (Disneyland version) is the finest ride-through experience that has ever been created! Truly, this is the masterpiece. And consider that it’s 50 years old, yet just as fresh as if it opened today. You’ve probably guessed that it’s my favorite, and it is. But many more adventures await that take a close second. THANK YOU for posting this wonderful soundtrack! I loved every minute! ❤️🏰😁

I miss when they had the mist affect at the end of the grotto with a Davy Jones projection. He now only appears at the end, though you can only hear him.
The very beginning of the ride that is like the bayou has always gave me chills since I was a little boy. I love the fireflies. The crickets in this audio are too loud.
