In as much as I totally understand Steve's point in this video and I am all for it. It's also important to create Balance. Once you are a friend to the husband of your friend, you need to learn how to create Balance between the both. In a slight way, Madam Gold was wrong. Although the friend ought to know the character of her friend and trust her as it looked like she was judging her just because she was separated and single but then, the man just got home and taking him off his family that way without first talking with her friend was breaking boundaries and actually inferring that she has a place in the life of the man which the wife does not. Immediately she saw the wife was insisting he eats first, she should have obliged her. The insistence for the man to speak with Madam Gold first should have come from the wife and seeing that the invite to come visit them even came from the wife, not the husband at first. Even if you have known a man for years before he married his wife, please learn balance, boundaries and respect for his wife and relationship. Do not create space for distrust. The woman begins to trust you more that way. The man on the other hand too disrespected his wife. Dismissing her thoughts that way in the presence of another person was wrong. I know he was being polite but he could simply have told her, let me change and come back especially when Madam Gold herself was not even leaving immediately. She wanted to speak with him and still remained in the house to gist with her friend. Waving the wife off like that was wrong and disrespectful. It shows slightly who you honour and respect more. Not withstanding who it is, YOUR PARTNER REMAINS YOUR PRIORITY. This is also giving space for distrust in marriage. I know this content was to give Madam Gold space to dish out talks and all that but omoh she too wrong small for here. In a nutshell: They were ALL SLIGHTLY WRONG in their dealings!!!! THE WIFE, HUSBAND AND MADAM GOLD.
