Here in the UK, the car dealership would never in a million years let you leave with the car if you haven’t been approved for the finance, what sort of crazy country is it?

She should consider herself lucky. She only got ripped off a small amount compared to many other customers

Currently going through this, ugh! Haven’t signed no second contract. 😅 wondering about consequences in just returning car? Will my credit be messed up?

Bottom line is this….Before you walk into any dealership, get approved for auto financing by a bank or a credit union. If both say no then You are not financially sound to be buying any vehicle, regardless of reason of desperate measures. Auto financing through a dealership should still be explored but only as a comparative tool against your pre-approved loan from the bank or credit union. You then take the better of the two options knowing that you have the bank/credit union approval as a “back up” method.
