The government should take responsibility for the poor drainage system and inadequate planning of the twin city. The district administration should also be held accountable for not taking any action against those who encroach on government land. What is the land department for, and what are their duties and responsibilities? Proper town planning should be maintained for the future. Arunachal needs a strong leader who works better for the people and takes stronger action against bureaucrats who do not fulfill their responsibilities.

Sir,kindly mention the necessity and installation of specific dumping tanks within the market area. This could possibly benefit not only the residential areas,but also commercial places. I mean,why can’t there be any dumping area,where people can dump their garbages,why does it have to be the trucks and workers to collect it from each houses.? Simple solution is for the Municipal council to built or allot a particular dumping zone with height about 2-3ft,so to avoid animals from consuming garbage,and as a safer measure to avoid garbage flowing in water floodings. Dustbin to dept se issue nahi karne se bhi,shopkeepers can manage,lekin mass garbage dump karna hoga toh dukan ya dukaan ke bahar bhi toh nahi rakh sakta na. And also, just blaming the Authorities isn’t done,the public are to be equally blamed for their lack of civic sense. Har koi yeh sochke kachra karega ki,ek hi polythene bag hae ,wrapper ya disposable bottle hae,rasta mein paikh bhi dega toh kuch nahi hae,hare koi toh paikhta hi hae,toh aise toh humara Arunachal ko civilise hone mein phir 60-70 yrs lag jayega.. We common people don’t have any medium to question or raise opinions in front of the Authorities,and that’s where we count on the Media persons to speak up for the public. We’re counting on you.
1. The Consequence of encroachment. The encroachment of road from both sides makes the road narrow, There is no place left for drain in both sides of road, the storm water flows through the road because the only passage is road. The natural drain/ nallah are also encroached. 2. There is no provision for free n speedy movement of firefighting vehicles 3. In case of massive earthquake there is no escape road or rescue team to enter or no place for public to assemble for safety. Itanagar was a ruin port , history may repeat if greedy persist.
