Ok here's a true story Bale wasn't told Newsies was a musical they just told him it was a historical fiction film, and he would have the lead He signed the contract and when he showed up for rehearsal he found out the truth: It was a musical!!!!!!! Not bad for a guy who never sang a note in his life!
I prefer the film to the Broadway Mucsical. they were both Incredibly well done, but I find that the movie tells the story of the Newsies better. the music was better on stage and the choreography will always be more impressive in person than on a screen. but all in all the chemistry of the characters and the way the story flows works better in the movie
I saw the musical in person and while I agree about seeing the dancing and stuff in person, the way they altered some of the songs bothered me and I def think the movie songs were superior.
Patrick ran away from home, and the Mother thinks that he might have gone with the newspaper boys. I don't know for sure, I haven't seen the whole movie.
When I first saw the movie, when the nuns were singing "Jesus loves you" I thought they were saying "cheeses loves you" because I was convinced I saw one of them hand out cheese. I was soooo confused! :)
@tsler610 When it says things like "afta" and "gurl", it's not because that's how it's spelled! It's because that's how they pronounce it. This video is to sing along to. And because they sing with a NY accent it makes you sound better when you sing it. Imagine hearing this song without the accent!
ive never seen the movie, but my friends put it on as a play last year, and for a talent show at camp this year (the show was also during camp) we're doing a medley with part of the song in it. :) it's also got magic to do from pipin, Razzle Dazzle from Chicago, You Can't Stop the Beat from Hairspray, Legally Blonde and Ohmigod You Guys from Legally Blonde, and For Good from Wicked.
I think Patrick is in the refuge (explains why she can't find him) either that or the canon truth (Finch is Patrick in the 2011 newsies theatre production)
i understand why u don't have all the words to this song, it's very difficult since it goes so fast ^^ but hey u did ur best and i luved it one of the best songs in the movie!
@TheWolfman1388 I totally agree. They're all adorable (and the movie is great, the dancing and singing are just wonderful) but I have to say Spot and Racetrack drive me nuts - in a good way-. ;)
the lyric is aint nature fascinatin when you gota walk not when you got a war. they werent at "war" till they went on strike.it sounds like war because the note is dragged out and they do it with newyorker accents but its actually walk
Oh my gd me to every sayas yea its opk thank you some one who understands!! For a buck i might and when the mother sings for her son is my fav parts !!
