Jack says, “soon your friends are more like family, and they’re begging you to stay.” And later at the end Jack’s friends ask him to stay. Crutchie even says, “New York’s got us, and we’re family.” I’m not sure if that was intentional but I think it’s awesome. New York became Jack’s Santa Fe because they worked to make it that way.
I noticed that too. I feel like its beautiful cause the thing he wanted about santa fe was feeling loved and at the end he's loved Edit: I just thought of this but he has no family so he might have felt like leaving and finding some but he didn't know he was surrounded by them but he wouldn't let himself get too close to them cause he planned to leave them so he never thought about it
The fact that Crutchie is actually Jacks Santa Fe breaks my heart every time I watch it. Hear me out: Crutchie gets taken away just before Santa Fe, and Jack says “I got nothing if I ain’t got Santa Fe” evidence that Crutchie was Jacks Santa Fe and he didn’t realise until it was taken away. That’s why he never went to Santa Fe at the end of the musical, because he got his Santa Fe back (Crutchie)
I WATCHED THIS AT SCHOOL! LOL! :D XD :D MY NEW OBSEESION I watched half of it at school, and then couldn't wait so I watched it 2 times in one day (the whole thing).
Just finished listening to the Bonnie and Clyde soundtrack, and WOW! Jeremy Jordan sounds so different! Whether it's his western accent in Bonnie and Clyde, or his New York accent here, he does a great job! It is hard to believe it is the same actor in both roles!
this version of the songs is much better than the proper soundtrack they sound so much more sincere and realistic theres too much like... fakeness in the soundtrack
Maybe because you’re really in the moment and digging the character when you’re acting, while if you’re doing the soundtrack, you’re just singing not getting into the acting as much, if that makes sense
I wish I could do it. My dream role would be Davey but I'm a girl so I doubt that will ever happen unless we do it in our drama group but we have about 10 boys all together and 2 of them are like 13 and all the others are under 10 like 6 and 7 so I doubt it
Unpopular opinion: I have been thinking since the first time that I was listening to the songs from this musical (I mean Newsies) that this is the best version of the song "Santa Fe" ... yes, I prefer the prologue version over the famous one that works for closing the first act of this musical 😊😊 Anyways greetings from Mexico 💕💕
I'd love to be alive in 1899. What a awesome time to live. Between 1900 and 1960. (If great depression and World wars weren't a thing.) Just the morals, technology, environment was so cool Overall
Charlie Johnson jack and crutchie are news sellers they are poor boys with the rest of the boys who sell news papers they all don’t have parents and jack is singing to crutchie about how he wants to move to Santa fe in the beginning of the musical it’s on Netflix you should watch this one it’s newsies the Broadway version there is also a movie but this is the broadway musical version so yeah
