i super love how much the entire tap section feels like a CONSTANT build to the final chorus. like the tension continually builds in a way thats so compelling
For me, i absolutely adore this live version than the official soundtrack one. I just love hearing the tap dance aswell as the audiences' reaction for the performance
My 7th grade choir did this last year, once for our concert and once to for a show choir thing to show to another class. too bad I didn’t get involved in theatre or Newsies and the fun of it until then, and too bad I didn’t know about how cool broadway is until summer after 6th grade, other than that it was just pretending I was Anna from Frozen 😅. I’ve done youth theatre before, but I didn’t know until later, my biggest regrets. My choir teacher showed us a clip of this scene.
