Newton Symphony No. 3 - Subcontrabassoon Excerpt [Good Speakers Advised] 

Just a quick little excerpt of some subcontrabassoon tracks I've been recoding (one pitch at a time) for Bret Newton's ( / bretnewtoncomposer ) Symphony No. 3. In this recording, everything except the subcontrabassoon is synthesized, but people from all over the world are submitting acoustic recordings of their parts as we speak.
I thought this excerpt worked well as an illustration because it's soft and covers a fairly wide range; from notes that are possible on contrabassoon but which have a distinctly different tone on subcontrabassoon, all the way down to pitches that are unique to the subcontrabassoon.
