The oversized hg beam cannon looks PERFECT on the 1/100 scale, it even has the added benefit of the 3 adjustable fins, like in Dread when sammy gets the temporary overclocking to kill the emmis
God I wish nintendo would allow someone a license to produce a Metroid model kit. That's never gonna happen though besides that one shoddy knockoff kit. Aw well, fantastic work on this.
It would be so expensive because Nintendo need their cut. But Nintendo is just scare someone else is going to make a sexy Samus, and sexy Samus is not for good boys and girls.
All the LEDs on the kit are great. For the paint, the red looked closer to the game model the way you did it in the test, though the finished model still looks great. I feel as though you lost some of the sleekness that the Dread Suit is so unique for. The head design is really cool though. I especially like that you were able to fit in the Aerial's eyes.
As one who absolutely loves DREAD’S SAMUS, this is…. Amazing. Yes, big fan of METROID. So much, I painted a HG AERIAL to the colors of VARÍA SUIT SAMUS. And I’m planning to get AERIAL REBUILD to make it DREAD SAMUS COLORING!!
Love hearing ya geek out cause to me that means you're really excited about this and honestly that's what keeps me coming back to every video you put out 💯
Oh thank you! I think I'm starting to discover that I have a lot more fun making kit bash videos than just doing stand your videos. I think this might be changing to thing up for my channel.
I would prefer more of the original orange-gold colors than the Aerial palette. Thts wht made the Metroid so freakiin' exciting & unique, in my humble opinion... Love the LED wrk as usual.. Wish I knew how 2 do evn 1/2 of tht-!
Your kitbash's are AMAZING man! The BT kitbash is still my absolute favorite, but this one is a close second! As crazy as this sounds, imagine if you made a kitbash of a mecha Kratos from God Of War. Specifically frim Ragnorok
I love seeing kitbashes. Question, there's these books which are full of fanart of Gundams crossed with Kamen Riders. Any chance you could try and tackle one of them as a kitbash?
Well done bro i hope one day u get to do a seminar class in nyc cuz. Trust me, i will be there. Keep up the hard work and keep posting more inspiring art model kits
Honestly I don't have the time. I work a full-time gig. I barely have any kind of time work on any model kits nowadays. I'm lucky enough to make a video once a month LOL
hey um, if it's not asking too much, I'm working on a Lego star wars project. bringing gundam like mechs into the star wars universe, and anime mechs from like, muv luv, and....I think probably just the two. now, I've already got others lined up in my head, but there's one character I struggled with the other day. general grievous. I went with a gundam frame, from iron blooded orphans, approach, but it was way too difficult. so, if you don't mind me asking, would you be able to do a kitbash of something like that? just to help visualize the idea I had in mind. I understand if you can't, or don't want to. either way, awesome build there man!
@@stevengrant3219 yeah, that's the only bad bit about mixing 1/144 with 1/100. (I'd love to see a 1/100 Zudah myself!) But aside from that, it's perfect!!
Have you ever tried using silly putty to do the masking job? I just tried it and man! Is waaaaay more easy than being cutting masking tape!! You can shape it as you please and remove it even easier! Plus is very cheap! Give it a shot some time!
@@OtakuBuilder For camo stuff, the stuff I see used most often is just regular ol' blue or white poster tack. Roll it out into snakes, place it on in funky waves, spray colour, peel off. Rinse and repeat after drying if you wanna do multiple colours.
@@OtakuBuilder silly putty is very cheap, you can find it at target. I know you are not into modeling with green stuff or milli putty but exploring new horizons can be fun, i started by painting my Rex watching your videos, then jumped to polymer clay and crafted the Metroid Queen, and now using green stuff and milli putty i've done Samus dread gravity suit version and Raven Beak, using action figures as base. You never know what you can do untill you try!
Black primer is acted as a light blocking agent and then I apply a secondary coat gray primer that acts as the base coat when I add the secondary color on top. Hopefully that makes sense.
The volume levels are actually just fine. It all depends on the kind of audio setup you're using. When I review the video I make sure I tested out on two sound systems. One that's the two channels speaker system the one that's a 5.1. Another thing you had to take into consideration I have a son so I can't speak as well as I used to in my previous videos because if I do speak any louder it will wake you.
Your video doesn't have enough light to begin with. By the end of the video, it gets even darker. What you did was truly a waste. Like you're doing it in a cave. Invest in more lights to brighten your working corner
After painting, you leave the background quite dark so you can't see the color clearly. You also shine a colored light on it. Everything you do to the model, like assembling and painting, becomes meaningless.
