It also needed a Nuke to power the damn thing and still managed to have a terrible operation time with a battery needed. It is truly a miracle how much they improved from that.
In case anyone is curious, there WERE Master Chief model kits a few years back from Halo 4. It was a failed line from Bandai, split into some offshoot company or maybe imported by them, I'm not sure, but it was called Sprukits. You can still find the Level 3 Master Chief if you look on eBay for around $50USD. It stands around 9 inches tall, comes with the Assault rifle, battle rifle and 2 pistols.
Covenant Grunt: oh come on! The DEMON already can kick our butts so easily! Does he really really need a Mech Suit!? Master Chief: Anything to complete the Mission. Grunts: AHHHHH!! The demon!! RUUUN!!! Seriously though, amazing work dude! Master Chief would be proud!!
“Sir, permission to leave Earth.” “For what purpose, Master Chief?” “To give the spacenoids back their colony.” “Permission granted.” Edit: BTW, does this mean we could see a Gunpla Haloid?
Holy crap, I'm a massive Halo fan and this kitbash is amazing, I'm tempted to use this as a guide and try to make my own. Amazing work, can't stress it enough! Absolutely amazing, I'm in awe.
I don't understand how anyone can dislike this. Seriously, fantastic work. God, just imagine a 20-meter-tall Master Chief gunning your ass down. Badass, man, seriously badass. On that note, holy fuck that gun is CLEAN. Maybe the only thing that could be done is that the ammo counter isn't exactly flush to the top-side of the gun? Ah fuck it, it's borderline perfect. If I ever get into kitbashing, I know exactly what I'm gonna use for weapons. Cheers man, and keep up the good work.
This is arguably the best gunpla build I have ever seen. The skill to kit bash, wire and paint is so top tier its insane. I have been building gunpla for about 3 years but havent dipped my toes into custom work out of fear and lack of skill but this makes me want to try on some hg's or something.
You really need to get into using epoxy putty and Pla-plates for your kit bashes. It will help you in sculpting the look of the figure you want by being able to add more things to it. The way you go about doing it now is good, but it's limiting you.
I was gonna comment the same thing, a lot of things like having to grab parts from other kits just for one or two small pieces could have been avoided. He could have used a couple pieces of pla-plates and layered them.
ive seen a lot of custom builders in my feed and almost all of em do use putties and pla plates but to be fair i think this is a good example of a "kit-bash" in its literal definition.
@@kaoru288 using mg's is expensive way of going about doing a genuine kit bash. I usually do kick bashes using hgs and some of them were expensive but never never any of them over maybe $60. And those are hgs. I made a Samus aran in armor using 30 minute model kits a Titus Gundam, a license, and apart from an Iron blooded orphans kit. Those are HGs or their equivalent.
I was just thinking last night how much I would love an MG sized, Master Chief gundam. One of my Facebook group mates linked me to this video. I am in awe, I am new to the hobby (started last september) and love gundam and halo both. So happy to see both represented so well here. I hope someday to be able to do something similar. I love this kit, great job! An absolute work of art 😍🥰
Great build my friend !!!!! Your B roll game is getting better and better. Love your choice in lighting as well. Looking forward as always to the next build !!!
If he does, he should definitely use some of the parts from the Gundam Astraya F (or whichever that was...) It has a "proto GN Sword" bit which has a build and mounting scheme that's very reminiscent of the Slayer's arm-blade thing from Eternal... Idk if it's got an MG release, but I just saw Mecha Gaikotsu doing a build of the RG kit, which inspired the idea...
@@zerosen2141 the kit is getting pretty rare, I scooped up two of the P-Bandai Hazel Early Type/Quel 2.0's from HK on the cheap a few months ago (for about the same price as current market rate for the MG GM Kai) just incase. The RX-78 Ver. Ka is abundant and has many of the parts, but the heads are the real "headache" to find.
This is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen….. really, great work my guy, I love Halo and I love Gunpla, and you just combined both of them. are they for sale!?
This is absolutely inspiring I love Halo I love gunpla this is a mix of both world man this amazing you did a great job I also think you should do a kitbash Megazord
This is an awesome build and you did a fantastic job on it; but if I may make a suggestion could you consider having a segment before the cinematic poses where it shows the entire figure in full view on a rotating platform for a full 360 image of it?
God damn that's amazing, I didn't play Halo after the crap they gave us in halo 5 but after seeing ya doing this I just wanna be a spartan like the good ol day, ur awesome dude
Yeah, this was pretty friggin legit. So cool. I have nothing but praise for your talent and eye for compromise. It's so good. My only 2 critiques (which do NOT mean I don't love it, I just find constructive criticism to be helpful personally): the head and the Assault Rifle. I wish a bit more attention was put into the head to get it more accurate. The rest of the body can be very approximate, and it works, but while the body looks like, yeah, that could be some funky Spartan armor, the head doesn't fit as well. I know there's only so much you could do, and I wish I truly understood the difficulty involved in a project like this, but that's the one place I would have liked to see less compromise. As well, the Assault Rifle is amazing, but it could have been a bit shorter. It's a bit long, and I feel like you could have shrunk the front and rear by just a tad and it would have been perfect (from when you were cutting pieces down, I mean). But please don't let any of my gripes take away from this amazing piece. I'm also a huge Halo fan, and this is so incredible.
Feels like you did an assault rifle closer to Halo Reach’s which, for me, makes it 10Xs cooler as that’s my favourite design of it. Plus, Halo Reach was my first personal experience so just seeing that has made me want to make my own Noble Six as a Gundam
I really wish you'd give us few clips with flat lighting in your final build footage. It's really hard to admire design choices and detail with dramatic half lighting. Awesome work either way!
My first video from you that I've seen and it looks amazing although when I saw it at first I was thinking it was the armor from (Be Human) in Halo legends
What are you doing master chief? Master chief: sir finishing this build. I was thinking for the bgm you would have the last run theme or the cantina music from red vs blue. Also of you're going to work on copy x can you give the extra buster arm to zero?
You seen those Morstorm/E-Model Iron Man kits? The MK 85 and (I think) MK 50 come with his nano blade weapons seen in Infinity War and Endgame, they look near identical to the energy sword from Halo, should be in perfect scale to your custom! ;D
This is a project I've been thinking about doing as well. I love it! Also, look up retro vifam round vernian 1/100 kits. They made kits for the original anime inspiration for Chief's Mkv helmet ;)
Comment not related but when I was painting my Apache gunship I painted it with master chiefs green from halo infinite by accident and it looks great just had to add black wash to darken it down I used and mixed tamiya XF-70 dark green and tamiya flat yellow
