I went to Okinawa, pureev, hero electric and finally end with two options ather and revolt. Then atlast i decided to buy revolt. Now i have done 20000 kms in two years and still the vehicle is in good condition. They have some disadvantage but, sine it is chinna based rebranded model, the vehicle has very basic safety measurements. 1. Battery temperature and external temperature in the display. 2. Battery life can be seen via revolt app. Don't mistake with battery persentage. 3. Battery pack is completely sealed with aluminium. 4. The customer support is bit slow but responsive. 5. They don't have the provision for fast charging. Over all this company has a very good platform. This vehicle is an all rounder.

Last year,I brought Toyota Innova 2015 for 8 lalks and crossing 1.8 kms without any problem. I'm very happy with Toyata Innova After 5 years, I will buy EV cars but I will never sell my Innova😇😇

I can understand your pain Sundar, you have been advocating EV with so many videos. Such accidents would've happened with IC engines also in the beginning and over a period of time, they have overcome. I guess, there should be some fire extinguishing mechanism in the EVs similar to the ones that are there in aircraft engines.

Hi sir we are working on a 60kwh ev battery project for a company which is going to be used in extreme condition from our research LFP cell is the best bet for safety . Tesla recent battery pack is LFP the advantages weigh more than the disadvantages compared to NMC or other chemistry ions . Some of the advantages 1) non combustible batteries 2) can be fully charged without worrying about degradation unlike lithium ion 3) no need individual cell fuses like tesla because of stable platform 4) liquid cooling must for lithium ion 5) Constant voltage throughout discharge phase which will give great efficiency 6) due to not giving individual fuses the battery terminals can be given with high conducting materials which will also act as passive cooling . And many more . You wont see this kind of fire in a properly engineered car with LFP

until blade battery is used these fire will continue. other countries already faced this fire issue n moved to blade battery. blade battery doesn't burn or catch fire even wen overcharged or broken into 2 parts.. u can see in RU-vid/google the quality of blade battery...

This is due to modification of audio system and other high power electronics devices in the electric cars, Electric cars has many more dedicated power cables, which delivers certain power with a rated voltage, so during modification of adding new devices the selection on power line for the device is very important in electric cars compare to petrol or diesel cars, because when the input power for the device is taken from a low power capacity rated cables from the car there are chances that the cable can catch fire when the connected devices try to get more power, via the cable, same when you connect high power home appliances on a tv or computer plug points. So stop modifying electric cars compare to petrol or diesel cars, cable modification can even cause the BMS board to get fire and followed by the flame able parts in the car.

I own hero electro cycle which is also Li-Ion 36 V,6.4Ah battery powered. It works well and I use pedal assist mode while returning back home from exercise , Is these batteries also vulnerable from fire ? I do keep the cycle in low heat place but it makes me nervous now. Govt also not keen on ev technology and proper testing ground for the stabilization of ev market. We were in the country where airbag was available only for high variant vehicle and for rich customer who could offer for it. Govt focus is only on fuel taxes which is the major revenue. We admire your efforts of being an advocate, an ambassador of affordable, sensible and simple technologies used in our day to day lives. About these fire incidents, we all know the rootcause. Unfortunately, today's businesses are more focused on cost. China market is flooded with used LiPo and LFP. Used = degraded electrodes. This means it is subject to dendrites related issues and this is the primary rootcause of all these fire etc, apart from BMS failures etc. Businesses (big & small players) are forced to source these batteries because they are sold cheap. Thats the reality for now and it will even get worse because there is going to be more and more used batteries added in the market. Common Man need to be aware of this background. Safety - Is there an answer today? Yes. Comparatively, we do have safer battery techs available today. Example Lithium Titanate Oxide (LTO). These are the most safest batteries available today. Whether they are used or new. Best part is - even if BMS fails, the LTO will not explode like LiPo or fire up when LFPs are punctured or crushed. They simply wont explode or burn in any type of situation or an accident. For general awareness, I am pasting a link to show the safety comparison test between LiPo vs LFP vs LTO. These types of accidents happen initially, these even happen now in diesel/petrol vehicle but very rare , soon EV will reach that stage but takes time, govt needs to take step by forcing companies to do R&D and set benchmark standard before releasing vehicle.. can't blame brand alone , blame government too

EVs are not visible for us since no standard of safety here. Also high capital investment, and battery life may be 8 years and our 50 % investment to be replaced again, so a total loss. Let us go for the best in CNG cum petrol vehicle only which is better safer and low investment for long lasting vehicles. Tata and Maruthi are giving the CNG options. Government is initiating changes from petrol and diesel, but not giving safety measures.
