I would NEVER USE A DYNEEMA CORD AROUND A TREE! At least get some half inch climbing rope for that. Dyneema is too thin for a tree, it will ABSOLUTELY DAMAGE THE TREE!
Great tutorial. I didn't even know about daisy chains. Was just thinking I would tie loops and different intervals along my rope. Your way is so simple.
Was really confused, they didn’t come with instructions when I bought mine at Next Adventure. I took off the ropes that attached the clips to the hammock thinking they were supposed to be removed and put the straps through the hammock (the rope knots definitely didn’t look solid enough to support an adult human), which I now understand is why I couldn’t get it to hang right. I doubt I can re-tie those knots, but fortunately I bought _two_ hammocks last summer or the one before on a 2-for-1 sale, so I’ll try the other one that still has the ropes tied. Maybe I can fix the first one. Do wish manufacturers included at least a single-page instruction sheet. It’s not always obvious. Excited to use it though, for what remains of summer here.
thanks for this video...we purchased a home few years ago and I found a metal frame in storage area that looks like a Hammock but I am not sure!!!! There are 2 hooks each side few feet apart and total length is close to 75". Is this a hammock metal frame or something else? Thanks
