Love the Badger Bed! That looks super comfortable and well built. I don’t know how many mattresses I’ve popped over the years and that looks like an excellent layer of protection. It’s cool that it’s completely modular so you can truly use it all year long. Look forward to seeing how it works out for you. 👍

Yeah, like I said in the video. I wasn’t so sure about it at first, but the quality and detail in the design really has me sold on it.

Square tarp seems like a more versitile product that provides more shade and can be used in more types of trips. There are much better alternatives for the poles. I agree with what you pointed out. Surprised to see no lid on the grill. The idea is great, but I would like to use it also as a ordinary fireplace etc. The battery powered fan makes so much sense to prevent smoke etc. Thank you for camping series. You provide good suggestions.

I picked up a Therm-a-Rest MondoKing this summer, do you know if I can just pick up the other pieces to the Badger Bed without the mattress?
@BackcountryExposure
@BackcountryExposure 7 месяцев назад
Yes, you can order the various pieces individually. For example, you could only buy the outer Badger Bed, use your Mondoking and even slide your quilt or sleeping bag in and call it good. Lots of modularity.

I can say from personal experience of the Kelly chairs for several years now they are awesome!! We always get a lot of comments about them. Adjustable and comfortable. They’re an investment…but a good one. Thanks for sharing.

We found the love seat and the single low chairs on a really good sale around Christmas time, so they were worth getting.

I got the low loveseat several years ago, and my wife and I found it a bit... low. Especially when trying to get out of it. So this fall I got the "regular" height one, in a nice olive / coyote colorway. We definitely like it better. Your mileage may vary, but just wanted to point out that it is an option.

Rei makes some poles that have various height settings that you could use for the tarp. I have their full tarp and pole setup and love it. Super sturdy.

Yeah some poles I've got are from Paria Outdoor Products that have a decent amount of adjustment. Im sure there's options on Amazon to check out too. Thanks!

Thanks for the share. Always loving to look at new gear. Peace in 24. Stay safe. 👴. I "tiny boatpack" some. I kinda want to try one of the Solo tabletop pits.

It would be nice if that huge tarp had some side pull outs. You could really expand the interior space and add some additional structural integrity to it. And yes, twist-lock, expandable poles would be good too.
@BackcountryExposure
@BackcountryExposure 7 месяцев назад
I agree. I’m likely to add a couple more poles to it for more pitching options.

@@BackcountryExposure I know they're a little bit heavier, but I took twist-lock paint poles for my tarp set up, and the threaded ends were too big to fit in the grommets, so I bought a paint roller, twisted it on, and then hack-sawed off the roller part about two inches from the handle. Makes for a great pole for about $25. Thanks for the video as always. Happy Adventures this year!

That grill looks awesome. The tarp looks like a hammock tarp for a giant. With the double chair and 6 man tent in the background, it looks like you're reviewing backpacking gear for NBA centers.😂

I get a lot of emails from NBA players getting into camping… ha ha ha! The tarp is huge, and that’s what I love, especially for the price. Thanks!!

I think you could use a wok lid for that grill. Should be able to find one the same size as the grill.

Almost $300 for a tote. hahahahahah wow. Looks like it's built well but a $20 tote from a box store works just as well. That lantern is a neat product with how it collapses down! Some promise there.

Totally get where you're coming from. The same can be said for any product though. So maybe it doesn't provide the utility you want or need.

Good video. I was interested in the Limestone tent, but the colors offered . . . um mm . . . didn't know if I could live with those. So, I'm curious to know your thoughts on the red and blue. Also, what do you think about the white mesh that is used on many tents nowadays?
@BackcountryExposure
@BackcountryExposure 7 месяцев назад
The red and blue is pretty bright. Against the white snow I think it comes off more intense, but they aren’t my favorite colors. I don’t mind the white mesh personally. It does make star gazing on clear nights from the tent harder, but it provides more privacy. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Blue tents feel cold and can bring your mood down... I had one once ,never again.
@BackcountryExposure
@BackcountryExposure 7 месяцев назад
The Nemo Aurora we have is blue, and for me, I wouldn’t say it does that to my mood. However I know blue can do that, so it makes sense.

@BackcountryExposure

I’m not either, but I’m less concerned about it when I’m in campgrounds or campsites just off the road. I wouldn’t want those colors on my 2P backpacking tent.

If you price out everything individually, it’s a reasonable price as a full package. Especially the use of the Thermarest pad.

Your comment is just wrong and disrespectful. 1) you’re making assumptions, and 2) you’re just being rude and disrespectful for no reason.
