🎸FAQs:
Are you a full-time RU-vidr?
Yes, I am on RU-vid as Marco Cirillo, and I promote my videos on my website BlitzGuitar.com. All the courses I post online are available on my Patreon page bit.ly/2rMAPYG
How long have you been playing guitar for?
I started playing guitar when I was 10 years old, so it has been more than 20 years. I have always loved fingerpicking guitar, so this is why all my tutorials focus on this topic.
Why are you on Patreon?
Patreon is great! It allows creators to make money doing what they love. On Patreon I can share my guitar lessons with my Patrons and get paid for it. As a creator, I feel like Patreon really made a huge difference in the way I share my content :)
Do you do concerts?
I used to do a lot of gigs in the past. London is a great place to play music almost every day. When my RU-vid channel started to grow, I decided to go all in and try to help as many people as possible learning guitar. This goal takes all the time I have available, so I am not doing any gig or concert atm.

At last! A video about all the chord families! My favorite is the 9 family. But what truly excite me is the C#11. I'm sure it's played on "Home Guldove", a soundtrack of jrpg called Chrono Cross. Anyway, watching your video at midnight is always a calming experience. Thank you for making beautiful contents. :D

First of all I’m gonna give you some praise on your teachings, and I’m also going to give you some tips to help us learn a little bit better, I’m talking about the people that are visually impaired or blind, if you let us know what Fred, and what fingering, for each cord that would definitely help us. Of all the instructors on RU-vid, you are the best one and relay the best information for your teaching, I just want to say that you are an awesome teacher, if you do those tips that I just mentioned, it would help me since I’m blind much better. I’ve learned a lot from your RU-vid videos just want to give you a lot of credit. A question to you, if you do those tips that I just told you, or you already have them on your other videos, I would definitely subscribe to your Patreon. If you do the tips that I told you in the future videos, again that would be very helpful. Thank you again

PS, I am going to give you a suggestion, if you do your classes, like if all your subscribers were blind, I think that would help everybody in general, even myself or other people that are visually impaired. For the people that are sided, you could put the tabs that would help them, that’s just a suggestion I would really appreciate it if you did it.

Anyone else reach their plateau..? I’m self taught and have been playing maybe for 12 years! Out of those 12 I’ve been playing seriously for maybe 4 years. Around year 3 I hit the brick and haven’t improved. I don’t know note or chord names just simple chords, when I do try learning it’s like I’m reading a book but forgetting what I just read... I’ve watched countless theory videos and new chord progression like this however my mental barrier doesn’t allow progression! It sucks! I’ve even taken notes and refer to them when I can however I can’t progress!? Anyone else struggling with this?
@goingintohellhigh
@goingintohellhigh 3 года назад
Stop trying so hard. Play what you like and naturally your interests will attract you to learning new things. Also don’t put yourself down about limited chord knowledge; every single beginner chord can be modified almost however you want which can make some crazy good sounds. Lastly, don’t let your ego get in the way of your progress. Any amount of practice done consistently is good and if you expect yourself to be way better, that’ll just discourage you from practicing at all. I hope this helps.

Technically, the Gsus2 you showed isn't a sus2 since you still played the third of the chord (open B string). That would be an add9 then?!

Hey Marco , quick question, why did you play d dom7 instead of d maj7 on the first maj7/min7 progression
@MarcoCirillo
@MarcoCirillo 5 лет назад
Dmaj7 has the C# which is not part of the G major scale. In the G major scale the C note is natural.

@hectordelgado2556
@hectordelgado2556 5 лет назад
Dev W. Yeah I mute it
@jangtheconqueror
@jangtheconqueror 5 лет назад
For me the G and B are too close together for low notes. It just sounds cleaner and more controlled when you mute the A string, at least to me. If you mute the A string, the two lowest notes become G and D, an interval of a fifth, which is the basis for your power chords, that's probably why I think it sounds better. It's like playing a power chord.
@mrdevinwang
@mrdevinwang 5 лет назад
@@jangtheconqueror in that case, do you leave the B string open then? Cuz then there's no 3rd in chords if you also plays the D on the B string.
