@@chaseshadow the next level seems to have wider range of motion and the shifter plate over the challenge, anything made you recommend the challenge over the GT lite? Like quality wise?

@@sixx1095 I manufacture the Playseat Challenge Accessory Range for global distribution. So I might be a tad biased and perhaps not the best person to ask about the Next Level GT-Lite/F Lite. The only things to consider are: 1. Cost 2. Build quality 3. Function and design 4. Practicality There are pro's & Cons with both products. Until the launch of Lowdownshifter.com, the Playseat Challenge was not a very immersive experience. Next Level learnt from Playseat's costly mistake by manufacturing a place to add on mods. Yes limited, but at least they had the conscious thought to provide where Playseat failed. Next Level customers however, do shop with Lowdown Shifter. Why ?? Because Lowdown Shifter manufactures/ supplies the only detachable mod mount system in the world, worthy of it's title 'THE Solution'. Next Level customers, like Playseat Challenge, are now able to apply specific products to their experience. Though mountable area is limited on the Next Level over the Playseat Challenge. Playseat Challenge - Limitless Next Level Racing - Limited Personal choice I guess.

I just got this seat and I have the T3pa pedals that I installed a load cell in using a diy RU-vid guide. It’s great but FYI these pedals only have 2 screw holes, so with F1’s frequent heavy braking I get some degree of movement of the pedal base while stomping the brakes. This is easily remedied with a strap around the bottom end (end nearest your body) of the pedal base and seat frame. I used an endless loop ratchet tie down, gently. If you don’t use a load cell it may not be an issue for you… I dunno. Either way it’s a solid setup for relatively cheap.

In exactly the same boat, after watching these videos and getting more and more obessed.. I've now just purchased a fanatec f1 wheel and system - but can't get a table clamp so on to the next thing which is cockpits haha.. help!

Not the most intuitive of folding solutions is it mate! lol

@@KarlGosling yes, indeed. My mum bought my first pair of decks when I was 17. They was average belt drives. Thought best to learn on the cheaper set and if I like it, buy technics 1210s. Bought my 1210’s when I was 19. When I was about 14-15 U.K. garage was huge in London. So I started buying garage vinyl when I got decks. Over the years , I’ve been buying garage, grime, dubstep, U.K. funky, soulful house, reggae Vinyl. Buying decks was best thing I’ve ever bought. Buying 1210’s and pioneer djm600 out of my wages, felt great.

Nothing wrong with bashing things if you have a good reason to mate! :) What was it you didn't like? Aside from the questionable folding away method it's decent enough. Obviously an ART (whilst much better) doesn't fold away so is for a different market.

Aside from fitting braces to either side there' no real way, it needs to be that way to fold away of course. The Truebrake mod is not really suited to this type of cockpit as you can tell.

To be honest you don't really ever fold up the gt lite

There will always be some flex with any foldable cockpit, I've tested the DD Pro on the PSC and it's ok so I'm sure you will be fine also! :)

@@KarlGosling Update. I added a ratchet tiedown strap to one side of the horizontal bar which holds the wheel deck (in this case the heavy cube). The other end is attached to the bottom horizontal bar which connects to the end of the pedal deck just under the steering wheel. Super tight. Do the same for the other side. I tell you, it does not budge. Superb. I have given it heaps.

Yo for anyone out there I’m 6’4” with 33-34” inseam, and this seat is comfortable for me IF I put the pedals flat to the floor. If they’re up at an angle it’s too cramped. But they feel fine flat. If you’re around 34” inseam you should be fine, but taller id consider looking elsewhere or at least buying one with free return.

I would not recommend a DD1 on a foldable cockpit, the CSL DD would be a far better choice mate.

It's not anywhere near your arm or hand when changing gears so not a problem.

I would never recommend a foldable cockpit for a DD wheel, a full static cockpit is best... but if you have to have one then it will work yes.

@@KarlGosling By playing with the swinging latches(from memory, swinging them over the top of the 'nubs' and over the other side (toward your feet), they do not lock the seat forward. But, the nubs do NOT fit in the small grooves they are meant to sit it. Crap design, but I found the above work-around.

No it should be fine, these don't seem to suffer with that.

There isn't really a "best" as everyone has slightly different needs... body type and size etc, easy of folding, floor and storage space.
