If my ears dont fool me it is Glen Hansard's song that won an Oscar some years ago. I think he is actually Irish but not sure. Haven't heard it for ages, thank u, made my day! Second should be Knocking on heavens door and the Last one.. Sounds familiar but pls give more hints :)
Welp...you got the "hard" one....and yes I misspoke on the Scottish part. He is in fact Irish....sorry Glen (if you ever see this)😢. 2nd one is not Knocking On Heaven's Door...though a good song and guess. First lyric to this one is "It's late in the evening..." As for the third. Trying to contemplate a hint that isn't a dead give away. Well, they hail from Ireland as well. This song came around in 1994 (had to edit my description...twas way off on that). And the way she pronounces "these" and "things" is more phonetically akin to "Dees" and "Tings".
@@JDubReacts Omg, how could I miss Eric Clapton - Wonderful tonight (second one)! And I still need to figure out the last one.. Let me think. I actually like how u interact with us through music, very different and original :)
I enjoy doing these. Not wildly popular from a statistical stand point in the grander scheme of RU-vid, but I like it. Ever try to imagine overall life without music? One of my favorite college papers, well speech actually, was about the overall importance of music and the power music has on peoples' mental states. Whether it is to calm down, get pumped, let out anger and rage, to cry to, or just to chill to. I'm no pro musician...just love music and appreciate the journeys it has allowed me to explore throughout my life. #sharingiscaring 😊
@@JDubReactstotally agree. Grew up in musicians family although I loved painting as a kid and never learned to play any Instrument. (which I feel sorry for nowadays) but music has always been there and not only one specific ganre. My father still plays live music in a club and I am convinced he does not age the same way his friends do thanks to that😊
Oh that would be interesting lol. Pitch correction is my friend lmao. I'll work on a follow up to this one...I know I can sing the 2nd and 3rd ones. Never actually tried singing the first one, but can give it a go. It'll be a fun little project for me 😃.
This is the proof that's impossible to know about all the songs and great singers all around the world.Angelina Jordan,Pentatonix,Morissette Amón,Marcelito Pomoy,Hua Hua,Disturbed, so many more I forgot the correct names.Chinese singers, just amazing.South Korea,Philipines...I discovered Dimash at age 68 and he definitely Will be my favourite until the end of my Life, but I thank You Tube and their reactors to have given me the chance to listen to some amazing music.I still love 60-70 songs, they give memories about being Young,to live Life another way but for me,the best time ever.Getting emotional, maybe but Dimash reaches my heart and it's getting dangerous.Thank you so much, love from Spain
Are there any particular songs that "define" you, or that you just cherish in your life? My wife and I discuss this periodically and try to pinpoint songs that we consider pivotal to our lives. For instance, for me, the single song that put me down my musical path was a song by Kenny G - Forever In Love. To this day, 30 some years later I still adore this song and hold it dear to me for this precise reason.
@@JDubReacts well, no need to go far. I was given my name thanks to Leonard Cohen's song Suzanne.. In my country the name Zuzana was not so popular in those years. And when I was 15 I discovered U2 and in order to be able to understand the lyrics I started to learn English. (even wanted to move to Ireland for them as a teenager😁).
Good Grace,so many songs! Moreover because I'm Belgian born, like some songs in Flemish and french,as a teenager all English songs.I've studied a year in Minnesota so there was the Big USA influence.Years after,I married and lived in Spain, not too much time to listen to music until now, retired.Dimash's voice keeps me going.Unchained Melody from the Righteous Brothers,The power of love from Jennifer Rush,Aretha Franklin,Otis Redding,James Brown...so many.A whiter shade of pale,Procul Harum.Enough,my list is endless.💝
Irish not Scottish :) I saw them perform before they were big, before this movie was made many times. ‘Twas magical. The Irish are fantastic live musicians.
@@JDubReacts I went to see a Damien Rice show in a smaller theatre (maybe 1-2k seats I’m guessing).. I should’ve gone to hospital I was passing kidney stones it was REALLY bad but I REALLY wanted to see Damien Rice more😂.. we got there late & the opening band had just started.. it gutted me from the 1st notes I heard & I was asking everyone around me- “who are these guys?!” & everyone just shrugged, they didn’t know, no one had heard or understood the Irish announcer when they came on lol. It was Glen & Marketa :) as I recall they weren’t even written on the ticket bc I was still asking ppl after the show who the damn band was that blew me away I love the discovery of going to see one artist & happening upon another u never would have heard of.
Not familiar with Damien Rice (yet), but they have to be pretty awesome if you were willing to go through somewhat self-inflicted torture lol. Tougher than I....and I have had that "pleasure" in life yet. God willing I never will....seen what they have done to some of the toughest people I know lol.
@@JDubReacts well health issues had me pretty used to pain/bizarre emergencies AND usually being let down (or made worse) by going to the doctors unfortunately. Was still in my 20s at the time. So it was a combo- wasn’t gonna miss it only to be pissed off getting no real help had I gone to ER. How do u not know Damien Rice?? I’m sure you’ve heard “Blower’s Daughter” as it was all over the radio. That album “O” was a bit commercialized for radio, album “B-sides” is good to add to the listening together with it. It’s one of those where u may have heard it overplayed, but might have a better appreciation if u sit to listen to it. Songs like Delicate & Volcano are wonderful. Also have you ever seen Brandi Carlisle’s music video for “The Eye”? It’s literally a one-take live close up of her & her 2 backing vocals harmonizing perfectly. Something tells me maybe you’d like the song itself too.
