Well done Deigo, I think it's every ones dream to do what you are doing, especially using the sun to power for free your electricity. Here's another tip on how to locate the filled-in loo holes in the backyard... When probing the earth with a steel probe, (a steel rod), the probe will slide through the dirt in the fill much more easily than the undisturbed soil. That is the main way to locate a loo hole. You can also use this method to locate the perimeter of the hole. The other thing I wrote last week about listening for glass breaking as the probe goes down, is secondary in importance and effectiveness for finding an old loo hole.

Leave the stones on the wall as they are. Put a shelf up, just enough to stick out a few inches. That way you can dress it up with some old different colored bottles. Being that it is a kitchen put wine, oil, etc bottles there. 😊

The kitchen already looks great and the shelf with the stone wall does the atmosphere, good that you left it. Once you've done the living room everything will be finished to perfection and it will be great, is that big beautiful fireplace working, can you burn in it?

I was looking at the wall when you were putting the sheetrock up, and thought that where you have the old window, why not put a shelf there for books and small items to show them off. Or make a small (skinny) sideboard under it and put a display of good dishes or crystal on the shelves. Just an idea. Love what you guys are doing.

Hi Diego, I like how you are doing the kitchen. If it is possible make one light lighting the hall with rocks. The windows you could put on the part outside of the wall and to have a place to put some orchidee on the windows inside but probably it is late to make such changes. However you are very good at doing your new home! 😊
