So in conclusion, chopping the pot after dealing twice was the best outcome initially but greed and lack of knowledge took over and that is how you lose in this game.

If he hopes to make money with such odds and on top being stubborn with it, I don’t know if that‘s a sign of a player that knows what he‘s doing. And if he knows, why would he intentionally lose? He probably just did not know that he was that behind, which again proves that he is not a very good player.
