ALTERNATE NAZAREC STRATEGIES: There’s a unique strat you can use on Nezarec if you have 4 Marksman Golden Gun Hunters + a Divinity. The Hunters Equip Star-Eater Scales, and when you Div Nezarec (in the middle of the map), have the Hunters pop goldie & hit Nezarec with 3 shots. They should each produce 2 Orbs of Power per hit, and with 4 Hunters total, this will be a HUGE orb printing strat. The hunters can then dodge with Powerful Attraction, pick up all the nearby orbs, RE-GET their golden gun, rinse & repeat! If you do this, have the hunters UN-EQUIP Argent Ordnance from the Artifact, and Remove Weapon Surge Armor Mods from your leg armor (this will conflict with the strat). REGARDING THE ROOT/LEDGE BY SPAWN: Despite this being a cheesy spot, it's by no means free. You have to bait Nezarec over there before damage begins - and very often, he'll just F off (or not approach the ledge entirely), meaning you won't get a clear shot or you'll flat out waste your damage phase. If you wanna use that spot, I recommend dealing damage to Nezarec WHILE he approaches you at the ledge, then when he gets too close - back off the ledge onto the root, and finish DPS there. Or y'know, mobile/moving damage in the middle of the map & just play safe. ADDITIONAL STRAT FOR RHULK: If you're having trouble with Rockets on Rhulk because he's so mobile - apparently Divinity / 5 Sleepers is an easy 2 phase with Solar Surge
Don't need the golden guns. We did this easily with just linears, 2 gg's, and ammo to spare as a one phase. People really need to just get gud on using shotcaller + respective buffs. Sleeper was *FREE* on this method. I put up 1.7 easily with just sleeper.
I cannot believe Riven was not the final boss in this awesome Pantheon event that has reinvigorated so many D2 player's interest in the game. And what a perfect thematic end it would have been to this pre-Final Shape storyline that culminated in the RIVEN themed Season of the Wish and all the events that it revealed.
Meh I can live without it because after we used the "wave frame gets stuck on rivens back trick" along with tractor cannon and 4 stasis titans. Got it after 6 tries.
For making refuge during Nezarec fight, what I have seen done is that side lane ad clear people grab the buff with the runners at encounter start and run to the opposite side to make both light and dark refuge at R1 and L1 respectively. It gives the runners one less thing to worry about.
Jup have done that since forever, best strat since the add clearers don't do much else and its a set plate you need to stand on so no guessing/confusion which plate to go
btw when you are a nezarec runner, you dont HAVE to shoot the orb. if you are on the plate, you can look down and melee the plate itself, and you'll get or deposit the buff. a good thing to remember, especially if you are getting flinched while running
For the refuge part, you can have add clearers start with the runner and criss-cross to their opposing second node when the runner activates it. The refuge zone will last until Nezarec does his wipe attack. I don't know if they patch this awhile ago but it made the encounter more smoother.
what sucks is i know i can absolutely do this. the hard part is finding people in lfg that are also competent enough and patient enough to not quit right away
it's always the people that can't do it saying 'I could DEFO do this easy but it's always my teammates' everything is always the teammates fault. It's not remotely hard to put a group together, raid report, braytech, check your teammates, invite 5 teammates you check = done. Ya'll are just lazy and blaming everyone else for the fact you haven't done it is easier than admitting it's your own fault.
^ 1st raid report yourself. This tells you how skilled you are and what you should be looking 2nd RR check every LFG and find people your skill / kick people who don't meet this / hope people of higher skill are willing to play with you.
@@skarsgard1342 except that’s not what i said. I know i’m not going in there and succeeding right away. What I dont get is why everyone else thinks that this is going to be cake that you beat on the first try. Especially in LFG, too many people that are going for the seal don’t realize that it will take time, get impatient and leave after a couple wipes.
@@ImmaculateOtter her feet are immune in pantheon now, so a cheese is basically impossible because of how much reduced DPS she takes when she’s not on the final plate. ive seen some people do it, but my team just did it legit and it was way smoother and an extremely easy one phase
One thing I like mentioning for running on nez: plate order will ALWAYS look like (1 -> 2 or 3 -> 3 or 2 -> 4 or 5 -> 5 or 4 -> 6). This is actually great for people who are less experienced because it means there is only ever at most 2 plates they need to check.
BONUS TIP: If you get the refuge bug, where Nezi’s shoulders don’t break. You can ether go to orbit to reset it, or pop one shoulder while he is up top, get agro, let him come down, then shoot the other. It works.
Just a tip for nezarec. My team always just gets both refuges so they're both up the whole encounter. That way no one has to scramble to get refuge and it's just up, avoiding any wipe scenario where someone can't get refuge up fast enough or forgets or something.
After about 24hrs straight of doing Nexarec, finally got it. The key was having non-dogshit teammates who can survive and not complain/quit over every little thing. Throughout the number of final-stands we got, and the subsequent losers who rage-quit, we found the far-back-left spot on the spire to be a good DPS spot (which I was very reluctant on for awhile), needed to absolutely destroy 1st DPS to well over half health, combined Rockets/Sleepers/Div/GL's and we had too many runs where we had little-to-no ammo to make it through final-stand, so we all added a 3rd hotswap running Touch of Malice/Malfeasants and it just killed it for us! Touch was actually awesome for primary damage. Utilizing shot-caller 100% the play, can even pop it off the tormentor if you do the spot we used. Solar> Strand for sure. Left/Right Ad-clear was our best hunters popping golden guns ASAP to kill colossus', since you always get it back by DPS (very important). Gaze/Mid Ad-clear were making refuge at the start then continuing on, but generally skipping first refuge and having fast runners was best. Absolute hell but worth the title.
@@serendus wouldn't say it was that painful but yes it was crazy, couldn't get anyone in my clan to help and my other main group was busy with work and stuff.
same here dude not done all of week 4 yet but im gonna try and get it done before everything goes offline my clan has a no fault policy so ppl don't get discouraged and quit because feeling like a wipe was your fault just causes so many problems (and when ppl start playing the blame game, etc)
@@wethepeople8280at least two wells. Maybe 3. We just did the cheese tho- last week Acrius almost one phased for us- wondering if using sleeper is as good
Additional strat for Nez : use lament on his platform and smoke him. Chain wells on his stage and he falls over, hard two phase, brain dead three phase
We went to the far back left root thiny with 1k and 2 phased him, at final stand we just used Outbreak with Rewind Rounds and we did it in less than an hour
It’s honestly crazy how much harder week 4 is. I finally found an LFG where we all demolished week 3 and we’re glazing each other finally thinking “This is it, this is the team.” just to get take 3 hours to clear Golgorath and someone having to go after an hour of Caretaker.
I'm just gonna worry about one encounter a day. Lol. LFGs are terrible. If I can't find a solid team and clear an encounter in one go, great I'll keep going. But after last week. I'm not holding my breath
Yeah it’s tough man, I finally got a good group and we were doing just fine. Then a storm hit and a telephone went down and everyone in my areas power went out. I was so pissed. Just praying I can find a decent team again today. Good luck to you as well! At least we have a week to get it done.
Cry Mutany with Demo Vorpal selected is also super solid for most of the Pantheon. Not as good as the others but it is consistent and probably one of the best Solar GLs.
I’m cool with only elite players getting this title/ emblem. I feel like this is very deserving to those who can do these raids and I can accept I won’t be able to do the toughest pantheon
we used mountaintop jumping to get our add clear people across fast enough to actually kill the adds and the shielded dude before the buff ran out. 10/10 would recommend trying it, mountaintop being useful both for getting over to him and killing him practically feels intended
Best weapon for Primary: Vex Mythoclast for eyes and mouth/tentacles by holding R and using your charges. Additionally when falling you have to shoot to her body sections. Pretty much we one phase her with GL’s.
Also, we always had 3 people start under the buff on both sides. The runners shoot to start and do what they normally do. Ad clear runs across to the opposite side and nukes the collosus, and the last 2 crisscross as well and activate the L2 and R2, making both refuges right at the start. That way both are there the entire phase and no one has to stop what they're doing to set it up. Just get the callout and when it's time, go take a quick dip then go back to what you were doing. Makes it so easy and stress free.
@Anklebiting Sleeper Sims and Div, 2 wells (1 in each side of the lane) and we would just proc shot caller and run opposite to him, was fun and intense.
If you are able I'd recommed the lfg discord, can't promise its 100% success rate or anything but in general Id say you get better people overall there so long as you carry your own weight
@@FriendlyNeighborhoodSayoriI seecond this. Just got godslayer today on lfg. I definitely got lucky with my team, but it was a smooth running engine for most encounters.
I lost a run at final stand because nez decided to jump off the map, and he went immune teleporting back on the map then we got the wipe screen without anyone actually dying. Bungie, fix your damn raids.
The solution to that problem was clearly stated in the video and is also pinned in the comment section. There is supposed to be someone called a babysitter, who takes his aggro by shooting his crit spots, then walks him over to the “cheese” spot.
Mannnnnn, was looking forward to seeing Nezarec bring pain to fireteams who are too used to standing-in-place dps. I hope bungie makes that spot Out of Bounds just to spite players
If you dont already have apex... not recommended to be doing -20 raids most likely. But since that's a lame answer, go do the wish token quests. You can get a crafted apex by tomorrow.
Frost already provided one solution with the Mara Sov tokens. Another option, is to ask to be the gjallarhorn user out of the group. You want one person with a gally so the apex pred rockets get wolf pack rounds. Another choice if using grenade launchers is the cry mutiny. It was a ritual reward weapon from the pirate themed season. Run it with demo, vorpal and a boss spec. It will not be as good as apex or cat gl, but can still be respectable damage.
So here is the thing if you can go at the back left part of the map you can jump on some beaches and nez just stands there and can get a very good dps phase
Warlock supers are severely underpowered for this boss. Nova is bad. Ark is laughable. Solar is like a pat on the back to the boss. Stasis is nowhere to be seen. Leaving strand as the only ok option.
After watching how to legit Riven I think I’m just gonna pass on this week, oh well I got 3 out of 4 emblems not too shabby for getting it done with only LFG teams
The reason I've been given for people not doing it is that Pantheon Riven has a bunch of DR until you get to the top floor, so you can't actually put out enough DPS to pull off the usual cheese.
