A big part of the community not raiding or doing dungeons due to lack of time (be it real life time issues like family, work or anything else) and difficulty finding a group (potentially due to the same issues plus some) Bungie: I know... we need more difficulty and no matchmaking, also make one mission where you need to find 11 people too...
As you said, the rest of their stuff really makes up for it so it's not that big of a deal. You change that up, then they will have to have something else nerfed
Dual destiny is cool although I hate it’s the only way to get the exotic class item. And you can’t launch solo. The -5 power change hurts my soul. I loved solo dungeons and spent most my time playing dungeons Now I don’t see myself playing much destiny period them until they revert. Pathfinder is buns and cuts out allot of xp and bright dust repeatable bounties brought. Prismatic is OP on hunters. Titans eating pretty good. Warlock is bland though. One last thing getting rid of legendary shards for strange coins sucks too.
Titan as a whole needs a full rework. Currently we have: Solar where you only have 1 aspect slot (who isnt running Sol) Void, which is actually kinda alright and pretty unique. But depending on situation hunters can do the whole volatile thing better with gryfalcons (although titan dont need an exotic for it) Arc which is just outright bad and has 0 aspect slots (who is even using juggernaut outside of pvp) Strand which gets nerfed constantly Stasis where you have 1 aspect slot (no point in any of the other aspects without Tectonic) and cant do anything even remotely cool Prismatic where theres only 1 build (triple consecration, I dare you to find another that cant just be done better by another class / subclass) Literally nothing about prismatic makes it stand out and every possible build with it can literally just be done better with any other subclass. The only thing Prismatic even has on titan is consecration spam while transcendent
None of both, first time I used L1-L4, M and R1-R4 xDD. The Pathfinder thing being ritual activities across 3 modes... I don't like it at all. I would like it to be as you say, 4 pathfinder, one for each playlist and the last one as it is for Pale Heart.
For Dual Destiny requiring 2 people: it can also be very discouraging when you use fireteam finder, you label your post as a "first time", and people join expecting you to know everything, only to leave immediately when they realize you don't. My first attempt at a run of the mission was my first use of FF and the very first person to join asked if I had done it before (despite it being in the post), got pissy when I typed no, said he'd only teach me if I had a mic, then left when I said "one sec" so I could tab out to unmute. Yes the timer was started, but when you consider that the next person I got was also a first timer and we finished every pre-boss room encounter with 4+ mins left on each timer, there was no way losing the less than 20 seconds I needed to unmute would have failed us. If it really meant that much for the first guy to finish 20 seconds sooner, then he should have joined a lobby tagged "Fast", instead of mine tagged "First time" and "Chill". Don't get me wrong, I did like how FF worked and will probably start to using it more now that I've tried it, but I've literally never had to deal with that flavor of toxicity on the LFG discord, so I guess I was expecting better.
The whole "not wanting to get on a mic" just screams zoomer energy. Like you have zero social skills because you kept your face stuck behind a screen and when faced with the concept of actually having a conversation with someone, you just cant. I get it. But come on guys, you get 1 life - these are silly things to have as barriers. if you dont think the shader system is an improvement, you are an idiot and I have nothing for you. You can tell SO MUCH from these shaders. Theres a specific area on it just for things that glow, like eyes. And its 100% accurate now. Destiny community is legitimately full of morons who go to the internet to scream.
I find the pathfinder system hard to navigate to, especially compared to the old bounties. More connections would be good, and having to switch away from the featured playlist activity is annoying. I'm doing double rep Gambit this week so I can play Gambit as little as possible overall. Bungie, just allow me to get this rep without making chase something else in Pathfinder
What is actually wrong with Bungie. Like i wanna know what goes on in their heads when they make these overly complicated exhausting missions. Like do they think the content creators who beg and whine for "more challenging content" are goung to make them immortal? No normal D2 player wants this kind of content let alone for an exotic class item.
I consider myself a solo player, but was fortunate enough to find someone willing to help me run the mission for the new class exotic and it was overall a fun experience and support these types of creative missions. That being said, I agree with many that any type of “gear” exotic, not necessarily weapon exotics, needs to be solo accessible at all times.
It's a toxic community and I get down voted every time and I could care less. Wrong weapons, wrong exotics, wrong player type, booted because the way you play a raid or dungeon ( but finished just fine), toxic comments in crucible (e g. Why don't you use a shotgun - I don't know why didn't your mom swallow?)
I've done Dual Destiny roughly 20 times, with 3 different people. It's a fun mission, and I enjoyed the mechanics. Having a good duo to run with is not necessary, but they do have to be able to read a clock. I've heard anecdotal stories of people not being able to read a clock fast enough and failing the mission.
I'm a big proponent of -5 in raids. I think it was always weird that raids had basically the same combat difficulty as strikes, and the combat experience suffered a lot as a result. -5 is a very good middle ground between enemies being lethal without being bullet sponges. Surges are lame though. They seem like a bandaid over the fact that bungie can't balance their game in a way that encourages variety.
Caliban/Liar on my 2nd ever Exotic Class Items made me ROCK SOLID ERECT. Been spamming punches more than a crayon juiced Titan on an Expansion Launch day with a punching Exotic armor
I'm a titan main and i really dislike that we only have 2 supers that are viable for far away enemies (hammers and the new void super) Other than that, our prismatic kit isn't as op as the other subclasses but it's still a lot of fun for the rest of the game (consecration spam on tormentors is awesome)
4:13 I've used fireteam finder, but I have never once found it to be a friendly environment. I mean sure I get a team for a dungeon now and again, but literally no one talks, so throughout an entire dungeon, no one talks. I mean I haven't even bothered to get the dual destiny mission unlocked. In my opinion fireteam finger is not a place to go and make friends, in fact it is the worst place to do it, and I've used fireteam finder over 50 times by now, and not once has anyone ever jumped on the mic and wanted to just chat, nor have I ever found anyone to send a friend request to.
the step 1, do you need to do it all in 1 go? or you can do 1 overthrow then kill the secret boss then go to orbit, chill, then go do overthrow 2, then kill secret boss, then log off, then come back to do the third overthrow?
An integral part of the final shape is hidden behind dual. Play dual I don't care but when I paid money for something to have someone put part of the update out of reach.
Discovered the delta shift by accident when taking a noob into their first dungeon! Took a bit of adjustment but hey ho, I don't raid often enough to care to be honest. Anything else is if this is the end D2 then it's an awesome goodbye love letter to the whole franchise. I'm still treating is as a good bye so I am doing stuff slowly and enjoying the journey, the nostalgia and the views
i mean, the exotic mission isnt the only thing that is locked behind grouping up, the macrocosm missions also require 2+ people. It feels bad buying an expansion and having 2/4 exotics (not counting the raid one, for obv reasons) require other people. In theory, its fine bc there are a few ways to find a fireteam but it is a bit weird of a choice so late in the game's life.
Yeah, Prismatic Titan just..... sucks. No otherway to put it. Woo, I can have three Consecrations? Cool, I guess? They just tickle anything that isn't power floor level content. Unbreakable Aspect blows. Titans really got the short end of the stick with Prismatic.
6:32 Dungeons and Raids were too easy and behind the powercreep, this just fixes it, adding a new difficulty would just push the more casual players towards an inferior experience of doing the waaaaaaaaay too easy raid
100% agree with you on the surges. For reference I am a player with thousands of raid clears with nearly all the meta weapons. Don't really mind the power delta thing, but the surges are annoying. Arc stasis is not a great combo this week. This makes sherpa runs significantly harder on salvations edge as most inexperienced players will only have a few good weapons at most making them usually not being able to match the surges so they just end up being put at an even larger disadvantage than they already are at. I do quite alot of loadout swaps (as this is the meta) and needing to change my loadouts every week to be optimal for a raid/dungeon is not great.
8:30 I think if there were ways to focus the ritual pathfinder would be a good change. Play enough rituals and you get to start picking things to come up more often
