i feel you on that song, its such a deep song, truly makes me thankful for my parents, nf is such a deep throught writer i love it, another good one that is really deep is nf mansion

My son came to me several months ago and showed me this song as a way to express how he was feeling about his mother. She is still alive but has removed herself from their lives in favor of drugs. One of the hardest things I have ever gone through is seeing the pain that my son is experiencing and not being able to fix it for him. So as a parent my heart goes out to this man, and to any others going through this.

Damn man as someone who lost both parents at a young age and watched them suffer through addiction I can say that this shit hits me harder than anything else I've listened to in a long time.

Also just so you know, you are a great inspiration and i love your intro! I am a dad, but you are a mom, could you ever imagine how your daughter would feel if you did that to her? I feel for him. My sons mom just passed away on New Years day (my sons 12 and his sister is 4 but is not my daughter but I treat her like one ) But she was on pills and was in and out of his life (mostly out because of the pills) but we were both on them (taking for my back) but then after years I got immune to them and started taking a lot, same with her but I ended up stopping because I could not imagine the thought of my 12 year old son losing his dad too (Because his mom was never around for more then a year at a time, then she would use pills again and leave for a year and a half and not call her kids. She was a great mom, but when she was on pills she stopped being a mom. The last time she got back on them, she left the state. Then months later she ended up getting blood clots they could not treat (not from drugs) and then they found cancer and she passed 5 months after that. But she was not ever here for her kids or even called them because of Pills. She was a great person, but that made her not be a good mom anymore, but she used to be and that's how i will have the kids remember her. Sorry so long, if Anyone reads this thanks for hearing me vent, it helped.

First, you are a beautiful human being and your lil girl is so precious. I'm not an artist but big props to you for putting your talent out there. I'm a writer so I can relate somewhat. I lost my best friend in 2011 to a drunk driver. Then a few months later, I lost another friend to the same thing. I was an "extrovert" to most people but losing two friends, especially my best friend (a big sister to me really) was hard. And it felt weird because I had always been so open with my emotions prior to losing her but I just stopped talking. I was just a zombie for days. Didn't talk. Didn't eat (until my friend's mom made me. God bless moms.) First people I told was a group at my college who were doing a bible study. Everyone was asking for what they needed prayer for. They came to me and asked me and...I just finally spilled it out. It was a bittersweet feeling. It was important to talk about it but I just had been so afraid of the pain and being vulnerable again. Because if you love anything or anyone...that makes you vulnerable. I had to learn how to live my life again. NF speaks to me in that way. He puts his pain and his struggles into his music and I think that is just...amazing. And I also think you doing that is also so amazing. I can relate to the feeling of wanting to represent the person we lost. I didn't talk about my friend for a while because I was so scared I wouldn't describe her in a fitting way. Sorry, long comment. I was just touched by your reaction and your words. You got a subscriber in me and I will be sending good vibes and prayers to you and your family. The part when he's still standing by the window but his younger siblings are playing gets me. Whenever they got the call she wasn't coming they probably were too young to grasp it but his was old enough and stood by the window probably for hours.
