Good analysis but i think yall are sleeping on the Cards potential still. They effectively played .500 ball once Kyler returned and have only gotten better AND have a much much easier schedule. They are going to make a wild card run.
Fr the cards played crazy competitive despite what everybody said about them now they got players like harrison jr and trey benson not to mention a player like darius robinson not saying they’ll dominate but they’ll definitely sneak in a few more wins than last season at most
Exactly. AZ had a top 10 offense with Kyler Murray and an elite top 3 run game. This year AZs run game is loaded n will have an elite top 5 run game, excellent OL protecting Murray and plenty of weapons at WR/TE. Kyler will see a lot of stacked box’s meaning a lot of 1 on 1 for guys like Marvin, McBride n Wilson on the outside. Murray is the best QB in this division when he actually has talent around him, and the defense is massively improved with the moves made in FA and the draft they should have a top 5-10 offense n top 15 defense. Arizona easily should be in the playoff mix.
Cardinals had the 4th best running game in the league last year. Their offense including the O Line is upgraded so that will continue. Add MHJ to that and Kyler’s first full year in a real offense. If their defense can get to top 20 then they are 9-8 team minimum. I think the rest of the division is taking a step back. None of them got dramatically better.
@@-Thunder Exactly. They were beating good teams with much less talent last year, heck they had Prater Miss back to back FGs so they didn’t beat SEA n slide down to 8th or 9th in the draft. Arizonas offense should be elite this season. PFF actually ranked their run game 1 last season, n Trey Benson/Deejay Dallas joining Connor/Carter is a massive boost of talent to the room. AZ is pretty loaded at WR/TE n Murray will have excellent protection in front of him seeing a lot of one on one coverages outside so Harrison jr should dominate. Defensively they’ve greatly upgraded the roster this offseason. Their DL has been dramatically upgraded bringing in 5 or so legit starters they have young EDGEs like BJ Ojulari who should take a yr2 jump n drafted OLB Xavier Thomas. They’re loaded at MLB W/ two excellent starters in Mack Wilson Sr who’s what Simmons was supposed to be excelling rushing the QB n in coverage n good vs the run and then 6”2/250pd Kyzir White who’s elite in coverage as your starters. And on the backend their secondary is now loaded with one of the best SAF trios in the NFL drafting Dadrion Taylor-Demerson to join Elite All Pro SS Budda Baker n top 10 SAF Jalen Thompson . At corner they signed an excellent veteran in CB Sean Murphy Bunting, CB Garrett Williams who would have been a late 1st rd pick if not for his injury his sr year was excellent as a rookie. Keitrel Clark n Sterling Thomas w/4.3 speed showed a lot of potential as a rookie. In this years draft they drafted a physical ball hawking CB with elite athleticism in rd2 in 6”0ft/190pd CB Max Melton. He’s one of only 5 CBs drafted since 2000 with 32in+ arms n 4.3 speed along w/ a 40.5 vertical. Dude is an absolute ball hawk. They drafted another big physical presence who’s also a ball hawk n excels in press man in 6”2/190 Elijah Jones in rd3 w/4.41 speed n 42.5in vertical. And they took a flier on a slot CB in RD7 5”9.5/185 Jaden Davis who’s also good on teams. Their secondary is absolutely loaded n should only get better as the season goes on and with an upgraded pass rush should force a lot more turn overs. It’s clear AZ is building a ball control offense that keeps the opposing QB sidelined and then defensively are building an aggressive opportunistic defense that can create 1-2INTs/Game to give KM a company extra possessions to eat clock n rack up points…. And in just 15 months since the new regime got to AZ they’re doing a tremendous job doing just that. I think AZ will be this years Texans n Murray will be back in the Pro Bowl off a career year in the MVP discussion again with atleast one of Monti or Gannon winning HC or Exec of the year due to the turnaround their fixing to have if not both winning they’re going to be good. Monti has sold me I cannot believe his eye for talent and he’s building it right through the draft using FA just to supplement his roster not build through FA which Keim did all to often after Arians left
These guys should take a sec and look at who the cardinals actually drafted lol. They keep saying how we need more defense and next year we’ll have an all defense draft…we’ve drafted 11 defensive players the last 2 years. They’re just young and are developing.
Penic hit the nail on the head with Trent Williams. He is their keystone on offense. When he went down, Purdy turned into a tub of goo. They should win the division again but I think Trent misses some time again and or takes a step back and they aren't as good offensively
Brock only lost two games when Trent Williams wasn’t playing. A tub of goo? That’s a bit much. There were a lot of people missing in those games if you dug a little deeper. Traveling back-and-forth and playing the EARLY games across the country. The Niners had played three games in 14 days… let’s try and do better. Then they had there bye… and they played three games in 11 days and won all 3. Rest is real… did you know that when the 49ers played the ravens on Christmas the ravens had 20 more days of rest than the 49ers by that time in the season? The schedule was horrible for the 49ers last year. Please, don’t put that blame on Brock or Trent Williams 🍦

Arizona will be back in the playoff mix this season. Monti has done a great job stacking this roster with young talent considering it was barren when he inherited it last season. don’t see SEA competing in the west this year their defense is still soft along the iDL outside of Murphy and they’re horrible at MLB n SAF . Offensively they have the worst QB, WR and arguably OL in the NFCW depending on Lucas’s health. Arizona will be in the playoff mix this year Monti Ossenfort has done a tremendous job quickly rebuilding that roster. AZ had a top 10 offense with Kyler Murray between weeks 9-18 K1 playing at a top 5-10 level once he picked the system up in Dec/Jan and an elite top 3 run game. The guy with blonde hair talks like they have no talent defensively which isn’t the case and they’re incredibly well coached n play extremely hard. Their defense will be greatly improved. And AZ is moving Paris Johnson Jr to LT, Jonah Williams will play RT. Their OL is actually loaded with quality depth to boot. TE Tip Reiman was the most athletic TE in the draft, he’ll make the OL even better next will be a part of the pass game.
Right? They don’t realize that the last 2 drafts we’ve taken 11 defensive players and they’re just developing lol. Plus we spent no money in free agency last year and invested in the dline this year.

DT 6”4/300pd Dante Stills was 2nd in sacks among rookie DTs last year w/4.5 as a rookie n now has a yr inside an NFL Weight room which he needed to get stronger. Arizona drafted an absolute monster in 6”5/285pd DL Darius Robinson, they signed a very good DT in 6”4/313pd Bilal Nichols who was a good inside rusher last time he was a similar scheme, signed excellent pass rushing 3T in 6”3/305 Justin Jones n both do a good job opening pass rush lanes for other players. 6”3/295pd LJ Collier was looking very solid as a pass rusher before he got hurt n will get a shot as a rotational DL. 6”3/313 Naquan Jones quality rotational depth. Signed a good NT n 6”3/338 in K. Tonga to compete with 6”2/320pd Roy Lopez n rookie Myles Murphy. Arizona lacks a star elite edge but have several guys who should have between 7-10 sacks. Going into yr2 now stronger who was a 1st rd talent coming out 6”3/250pd BJ Ojulari is ready for a breakout yr2, drafted another very gifted OLB out of Clemson who’s a stud in 6”3/250pd Xavier Thomas. 6”2/255pd Dennis Gardeck is very solid n good for 6-8 sacks/yr, 6”2/260pd Victor Dimukeje n 6”4/265 Zaven Collins should continue getting better on the edge. MLB Mack Wilson Sr plays inside but he excels getting after the QB either blitzing or off the edge where they can say bring in MLB Owen Pappoe n kick Wilson to OLB, he is what Simmons was supposed to be. Owen Pappoe with elite athleticism n 4.35 speed also excel blitzing up the a gaps as does Kyzir White who’s solid though not as good as the other two blitzing. Arizonas defensive roster is like night and day compared to last season they’re sooooo much deeper across the board and in terms of raw talent have one of the deepest secondaries in the NFL now that excels in coverage with multiple ball hawks back there and one of the best SAF trios in the NFL in elite all pro SAF Budda Baker, fringe elite SAF Jalen Thompson and just drafted arguably the best ball hawking FS in the draft who also excels as a NCB in 6ft/195pd Dadrion Taylor-Demerson who’s coverage skills n route recognition slash ability to read QBs n see routes/patterns before they happen are elite and like CB Max Melton whom they also drafted Dadrion is also a heavy hitter who excels vs the run not afraid to drop a shoulder pad n fold u up like cheap lawn furniture 😂!!!! Arizona has tremendously improved their front 7. I think they’ll pass rush will be a lot better n significantly improved now that they can push the middle n create pass rush lanes for others to clean up and will be very solid versus the run ranking in the top 16 in both as solid above avg units but where they will excel is in coverage. Their defense will be greatly improved. Come the end of the season I think AZ has a top 4-7 offense and above average top 12-16 defense somewhere between there n will be in the playoff mix as a 10-11 win team. Arizona with an elite top 3 run game will play a ball control offense that controls the clock so their defense won’t be over exposed to begin with. I think they’re being significantly undervalued to begin the season.
@@K1forMVP ya I’d say your defense ranking is aggressive for next year, we didn’t sign any big name free agents but guys that are young and on prove it deals like what Kyzir White was on last year. Any rookie is gonna take 1-3 years to develop and like last year our rookies got a lot of reps which is good but we’re still gonna be a below average defense in my opinion just because those 11 guys need to develop. I just found it funny that they said next year we will need to draft all defensive players because we only draft offensive guys, but really we just were in a great spot to get the best rb and wr in the draft this year.
The Cards picked for 4th overall for a reason and the Seahawks went 9-8 with a bad coaching scheme. I love Pete, always will but it was time to move on. Arizona added some young players on their team and they still need to develop. Besides an aging Baker, who else is gonna be a consistent contributor on the defense? Harrison is a nice addition for Kyler but can Murray stay healthy for a full season? I haven’t seen that yet
@@CJK04 Uhhh AZ didn’t have their QB for 1/2 the season. By the end of the season AZ had one of the best offenses in the league, top 3 run game , Murray playing at an elite level despite not much around him and they beat SEA in week 18. They had Prater who had been Mr Automatic all year pull those last two kicks so they didn’t drop from 4th to 9th or 10th in the draft a meaningless win wasn’t worth it. Secondly Arizona is ascending while SEA just hit the rebuild button with an entirely new coaching staff coming in with an OC who runs a spread system and has never coached in the NFL. SEA has a bad suspect OL that will get Geno hit early n often and their defense is soft as Charmin especially the middle of their defense across all 3 levels. AZs offense is a lot better than SEAs set to be a top 5-7 offense this year behind an excellent loaded OL, elite top 3 run game loaded at RB giving AZ one of the nastiest PA n RPO games in the NFL and they’re loaded at WR/TE with multiple 1K YD Defenses. Kyler Murray is primed to play at an MVP caliber level again with the most talent he’s ever had. And AZ has an above avg defense with a very gifted iDL and MLB room and one of the best SAF trios in football with a loaded cornerback room. Arizona is set to be a lot better than SEA, the Hawks are where Az was last year with SEA implementing new systems on both sides of the ball and SEAs nowhere near as talented as AZ is offensively.
@@K1forMVP I think you’re talking yourself into a lot of that. You’ve said it yourself, Kyler played a half a year because he was hurt. Availability is the best ability in this game and I don’t care how talented you are, you can’t stay on the field, it doesn’t matter. If you want to make Kyle’s injury an excuse than our tackles were out most of the year. 🤷🏻♂️ Seattle has a talented roster, the team needed to be coached better to the modern game. That’s why you see all young coaches in our division now. Macdonald ran the best defense in the league last year and got sacks and picks from nobodies and has beens. Mike knows how to use his players instead of bending to a certain scheme. Grubb has shown to do the same on offense. He used a deep passing attack at Washington because when you a have QB like Penix and weapons like Odunze and Polk, you make it work to your advantage. That’s what good coaches do and no it wasn’t just a spread offense either. He ran presnap motions and play action like the modern NFL. Ultimately, we are both speaking in hypotheticals but I believe there is more there in Seattle than AZ. Leo Williams, Nwosu and Mafe are better than anyone your D-line and we added the best defensive player the draft to that group, in Byron Murphy. Our secondary is by far better with Witherspoon and Woolen than an aging Baker. Harrison is a nice blue chip grab but who else is there really? Seattle has one of the deepest WR cores in the league with DK, Lockett and JSN. We were a 9-8 team and were one of the worst coached teams in the league.
The culture is changing from top to bottom in AZ K1 is top 5 QB he has all the talent that every top QB has difference is the teams built around them I didn’t even listen to what you had to say about the cardinals you started with hate towards Kyler and that told me all I needed to know lol😂👎🏼
